“I had a great experience with this sitter! She took wonderful care of my dog during her three-night stay and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I especially appreciated the frequent updates and photos she sent throughout the stay. It was reassuring to see my dog happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Communication was excellent, and it was clear that she genuinely cared about my dog's well-being. I wouldn't hesitate to book with her again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and caring dog sitter.”

“Kristina really enjoyed having Winston as a guest. She sent updates and pics, and he clearly was fully relaxed and happy in her care. I will use her again, and again, and again!!”

“Garrett and family were fantastic! They treated Chai as their own and sent frequent photos and updates. She got along great with their dog and I could tell she was happy and relaxed for her stay! We will definitely be using them again. Thank you Garrett!”

About: Hi, I’m Rachael! Owner of 3 dogs with my spouse and we love to take them camping, hiking, and out for adventures. I’ve had pets since I was a child and have taken care of animals since I was a teenager, pet sitting for family and friends when they vacationed. I worked as a vet technician for 6 years so I have experience administering medications orally and by injection. Whether it’s pet sitting, dog walking, or stopping-in to check on your pet to let them out to potty or to feed them, I’d be happy to take care of your furry loved ones. I’m new to Rover and taking care of pets is what I love and enjoy. I’m currently a stay-at-home dog mom, giving me plenty of time and availability to take care of your pet too. I’m available for pet sitting, dog walks, and drop-ins. Having 3 dogs at home, I understand how important it is to make sure they feel loved and safe. I will send you daily pictures and let you know how they are doing.
About: EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE WITH SENIOR AND SPECIAL NEEDS ANIMALS. In addition to sharing my life with my own pets, I am a certified Wildlife Rehabber (CA) and am currently volunteering with Jackson County’s Friends of the Animal Shelter organization. I am a freelance graphic designer. Having my own business allows me the flexibility needed to have time to pursue my love of caring for animals. I understand the responsibility that comes with looking after your pet. I am extremely experienced and hyper-responsible. Your pets safety and wellbeing is my priority.

“Our dog Bodhi had the best time with Avram! He took him to the lake to swim multiple times, played fetch with him, let him roam around his fenced in yard, sent photo updates. We were grateful to know he was in good hands while on vacation! I would highly recommend Avram to watch your furry friends!”

“Dorothea and Richard took wonderful care of my elder dog. Their place is great for dogs and their dogs are very friendly. I will be asking them to take care of my dog again.”

“Would absolutely recommend Samantha to anyone looking for an amazing pet sitter. I have an older dog with very specific needs and she was the best caretaker of him I’ve ever had. She was very attentive and loving to him and made sure he was comfortable for the full two weeks that I was away. If you are looking for a competent, kind, loving pet sitter, look no further.”
“Charli was amazing with my dog! Super responsive, answered all my questions, and made sure every one of my dog's needs were met. I would definitely book again and highly recommend for anyone looking for a reliable sitter.”

About: I've been an animal lover my whole life and have always had at least one dog or cat in our home, as well as others often like fish and reptiles. I even lived and worked on a goat farm for a while and milked and cared for the goats. I'm an avid hiker and am happy to walk your dog for any length preferred on trail or road. In my other work I have over 15 years of experience as a healer (massage therapy and energy work) and meditation/yoga instructor and bring the calm this field has taught me to pet care. I'm used to hearing pet people tell me that their pets are so calm around me. I seek to form a connection based on trust and understanding with your pet. I am, without a doubt, a cat lady having had cats in my life since the age of 5. I currently have a sweet and sensitive Calico, who has lived with me for the past 11 years. She is a finicky eater and often deals with digestive issues, so I've had plenty of experience with various food regimes and giving supplements. We also have a sweet, playful, young male cat in our home (my daughter's cat) and a beloved bearded dragon. We recently welcomed a Shiba Inu into our family and she is such a joy in our home. I offer pet care as a side gig to my other work and love any opportunity to connect with your furry friends and other pets. I offer pet care part-time in addition to other work I do. I'm happy to walk dogs most weekdays/weekends between 8 am-3 pm and I can do pet check-in's most weekdays and some weekends and holidays with a few days notice. I am sometimes available for overnight pet stays in your home with ample prior notice. When coming to your home, I follow what usual routines you share with me for your pet and treat your home with utmost respect and care. If you have a preferred route to take your dog on a walk or favorite dog park, I'm happy to go with whatever your norm is and will make your dog most comfortable.

“Laura was absolutely wonderful with our puppy, Gordy! It’s never easy leaving our dog with someone new, but she made us feel completely at ease from the start. She is kind, communicative and is clearly super good with animals! She took Gordy to the dog park and let him play and get some energy out! It’s obvious he had been loved and well looked after while we were away. We really appreciated the updates (with pictures and videos!) and the peace of mind she gave us throughout the stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Laura again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable dog sitter!”

“Alicia was fantastic. She was very welcoming and took great care of Mochi and Waffles. They had fun playing with her dog, Zuko too. Will definitely ask her to take care of Mochi and Waffles in the future.”

About: I’ve had cats and dogs for the past 30 plus years. I’ve walked them, bathed them, made their food, cared for them when sick and loved them. I have a lovely, safe walking neighborhood for dogs, a fenced yard, and everything I would need for a dog to have a cozy stay with me. I currently work 100% remote and have time during the day for walks and playtime. I have dog beds for nap time and toys for them to play with. I also own several leashes. I have a fenced yard that’s very safe. I don’t plan on watching more than one dog at a time. That way I can devote all my time to the one who’s staying with me.
About: I’ve always taken care of my own animals and also a lot of family and family friends animals. I’ve honestly never met an animal that didn’t like me. I’m a really fast learner, I also run my own small cleaning business if that’s something you want to discuss don’t be afraid to ask. Im currently working an overnight shift Wednesday-Sunday 9pm -5:30 am so during the day I’m always free this will be changing starting the end of June and I’m always willing to work things out if our days don’t align My dog at home is walked numerous times throughout the day because I live in an apartment but I’m super flexible and willing to follow whatever schedule you have set up.
About: Suz and Brian have both been lifelong pet parents. Suz worked for a pet hospital for years and almost all of our pets over the last 20 years have been special needs rescue babies.(diabetic, blind, deaf, liver shunt, dementia, cancer, etc) This means we are well versed in special needs care for your special needs kiddos. Pills, SubQ injections, SubQ fluids, bandage changes, glucose testing, Suz works remotely from home, available to your pet as needed through the day for loves, medicine, etc. Brian currently works out of the home but will be retiring soon and will then be 100% dedicated to caring for the pets of our clients! We are available for meet and greet, home checks, and drop off/pick up almost any time day or night and will work with you to schedule what is best for you and your pet(s). Ensuring you are comfortable with who is caring for your pet(s) is second only to your pet(s) safety and well being in our care! Cat boarding: since we have a cat of our own and we know other cats may not be ooen to meeting her (she is ok with others.. mostly ignores them) we have a dedicated cat boarding room where she cannot go near them. Our yard has no grass (rock and astroturf) so no nasty ticks riding our coattails into the home to come in contact with your kitty. Brian is available for drop in care or overnight boarding in your home for dogs and/or cats. This is what we prefer for our own pets when we are away, maintaining their routines etc as best as possible, so want to be sure you have this option too! All of our personal pets are fully vaccinated and receive regular flea treatment.
“Another awesome dog visit with Alicia in the books. Alicia always does a great job with the pup. I workday highly recommend her to anyone needing pet care. She's awesome!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Central Point
Herschel had a great stay with Susan! She was easy to make plans with and asked lots of questions about his care before his stay. I could tell she really wanted to make sure he was well taken care of. Her home has a safe outdoor area that he can run around in. He can be a handful but she did a great job with him!

This is my first time using this app and finding a sitter for my dog to board with for a couple nights, so I felt very nervous especially since my dog is a rescue and needs specific accommodations and lots of patience. However, I am very happy to say that Neil was the perfect person to take care of my fur baby. When I dropped her off, right off the bat I could tell that he was very much an animal lover as he greeted her with lots of love and pets. His communication skills are on point. He responded to my messages quickly and he updated me several times a day on how my dog was doing as well as sending lots of pictures. My dog often has trouble warming up to new people. However, she was very comfortable with Neil which is definitely a good sign! Neil had also mentioned that his day job is very close to his home, and he went out of his way to go home during his lunch to take my dog for early afternoon walks while I was gone. I believe this shows a lot of responsibility and dedication towards taking care of animals. I would 100% consider Neil in the future to take care of my dog again! I could not recommend him enough!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
