About: I've been an animal lover my whole life and have always had at least one dog or cat in our home, as well as others often like fish and reptiles. I even lived and worked on a goat farm for a while and milked and cared for the goats. I'm an avid hiker and am happy to walk your dog for any length preferred on trail or road. In my other work I have over 15 years of experience as a healer (massage therapy and energy work) and meditation/yoga instructor and bring the calm this field has taught me to pet care. I'm used to hearing pet people tell me that their pets are so calm around me. I seek to form a connection based on trust and understanding with your pet. I am, without a doubt, a cat lady having had cats in my life since the age of 5. I currently have a sweet and sensitive Calico, who has lived with me for the past 11 years. She is a finicky eater and often deals with digestive issues, so I've had plenty of experience with various food regimes and giving supplements. We also have a sweet, playful, young male cat in our home (my daughter's cat) and a beloved bearded dragon. We recently welcomed a Shiba Inu into our family and she is such a joy in our home. I offer pet care as a side gig to my other work and love any opportunity to connect with your furry friends and other pets. I offer pet care part-time in addition to other work I do. I'm happy to walk dogs most weekdays/weekends between 8 am-3 pm and I can do pet check-in's most weekdays and some weekends and holidays with a few days notice. I am sometimes available for overnight pet stays in your home with ample prior notice. When coming to your home, I follow what usual routines you share with me for your pet and treat your home with utmost respect and care. This is my first time using this app and finding a sitter for my dog to board with for a couple nights, so I felt very nervous especially since my dog is a rescue and needs specific accommodations and lots of patience. However, I am very happy to say that Neil was the perfect person to take care of my fur baby. When I dropped her off, right off the bat I could tell that he was very much an animal lover as he greeted her with lots of love and pets. His communication skills are on point. He responded to my messages quickly and he updated me several times a day on how my dog was doing as well as sending lots of pictures. My dog often has trouble warming up to new people. However, she was very comfortable with Neil which is definitely a good sign! Neil had also mentioned that his day job is very close to his home, and he went out of his way to go home during his lunch to take my dog for early afternoon walks while I was gone. I believe this shows a lot of responsibility and dedication towards taking care of animals. I would 100% consider Neil in the future to take care of my dog again! I could not recommend him enough!
