Anika took care of my golden retriever, Baron, over the weekend while I was out of town. Baron and I met her before our trip and I could tell that my dog was immediately at ease in her home. The house is very clean and cute and Anika and her family are warm and welcoming. There is a fenced in front yard with grass for Baron to play and get some exercise. “Lisa was very informative while we were away. We had a rescue kitty inside, 3 ferals that are scheduled to be TNR’d outside, and my 15 year old cockatiel. This was the first vacation I went on that I didn’t have to take my cockatiel with us or worry about raccoons taking off with the feral cat feeder. She made sure after automatic feeders malfunctioned all cats were fed. There was a thunderstorm that came through one afternoon and she even came back a second time to check on our house and animals afterwards which was very thoughtful. I also raised a 10 week old puppy who is 5 years old now, and he’s very well behaved with no bad behaviors. I am a full time university student, but when spending time taking care of someone’s pet, I do take care to disclose my class schedule. I would do best for pets that are okay being alone for 5-7 hours at a time, as I have some back-to-back classes that I can’t miss. I am very passionate about animals and I love spending quality time with dogs and cats, so when I am with the pets I will be able to give them undivided attention. When in a clients home, I take great care in making sure that the pet stays safe and in no trouble. I make sure that any outside access is monitored and/or closed off to being able to escape or get into danger. Our day begins around 6:30 a.m., with breakfast served by 7:30 a.m. Afterward, we spend time outside running, playing, exploring, and enjoying our fully fenced property with secure 8-foot fencing, along with plenty of potty breaks throughout the day. I believe dogs thrive when they feel safe, included, and loved. They are welcome throughout my home and are allowed on the furniture because they're family, not "just pets." I keep my own animals clean and well cared for, and I provide the same level of attention, affection, and respect to every dog entrusted to my care. My goal is for each guest to feel comfortable, happy, and at home during their stay.
About: I've taken care of my neighbors' dogs, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs since I was a young teen, and have had multiple furry best friends of my own over the past 15 years. I'm highly qualified to provide the best possible care for your beloved friend, including seniors and pets with special needs. I'm a volunteer dog-walker at the local animal shelter, and have the ability to exercise high-energy dogs. I'd love to keep your dog healthy, active and socialized while you're away! About: I’ve been around animals my entire life. I’ve owned and cared for animals of all types ranging from reptiles to large livestock. I have experience training puppies as well as working on smaller things like simple manners and attentiveness. I’ve have past job history working at a vet based boarding facility and am comfortable and knowledgeable on give meds and handling dogs when away from their people. I am available for drop in visits and dog walking 7 days a week! Monday through Friday I am available after 1pm, weekends I’m open all day for your furry friends! I treat all clients animals as if they were my own. They are cared for very well while clients are gone away from the home. Lots of love, play time, and just hanging out. If wanted by clients, dogs are regularly walked and exercised (I’m a hiker so am happy to take them to do outdoor hikes as well) along with regular care as if their parents never even left. I try to keep a relatively realistic schedule and life for animals while parents are gone so that they don’t have much stress when parents are away.

“It's kind of a big deal to leave your pet with a stranger. I am so happy to report that I now have a trusted person to give love to my dog when I have to go away for work. Anika took care of my golden retriever, Baron, over the weekend while I was out of town. Baron and I met her before our trip and I could tell that my dog was immediately at ease in her home. The house is very clean and cute and Anika and her family are warm and welcoming. There is a fenced in front yard with grass for Baron to play and get some exercise. I missed my pup so Anika even texted pictures over the weekend when she took him for walks. I will happily use Anika again the next time I need day or night care for Baron! Definitely recommend.”
