“Robin was excellent she came right one time and gave Kenny a great walk. She came over before the first walk and did a meet and greet. We look forward to using her again!”

“Craig was AWESOME! While we were on vacation his daily Rover cards brought us laughs and assurance our Brody was well taken care of. He was thorough, caring and genuinely enjoying the time he spent with Brody. We will be FOR SURE using him again I’m the future. 11/10 would recommend!!!”

“Katie is absolutely fantastic. 1st, she was able to accommodate us extremely last minute. She took care of two of our dogs, one of which is very strong and not very good on a leash. Katie was great i'm about community back and forth about anything that she may have had questions about or vice versa. She also went out of her way and helped scoop out our cat's litter and clean up that area that they had made a mess while we were away. She was super sweet to our whole crew and we will 100% be using her again. Thanks Again Katie!!!!”

“Caroline is the best!! Though we all miss our furry family members when they are not with us, there is peace of mind knowing they are in Caroline's caring hands when we are away.”

About: Experienced dog owner with 3 dogs. Two dogs are reactive/timid, one of which has allergies and pancreatic issues so I am familiar with pilling and dogs with special needs. I am currently a full time law student looking for something with a flexible schedule. I have availability in the morning, late afternoon, and evening as well as weekends. I think it’s important to be attentive to your animals needs, and also make sure to follow the rules of the house. Please let me know if you have any specific dos or donts for your pet!
“Kourtney did an excellent job walking and feeding our two dogs. She also sent us great pictures and videos which were a blast to watch. Great communication and responsiveness. Highly recommend!”

About: As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family members. I have both a dog and a cat, which has given me hands-on experience caring for pets with different personalities and needs. I take my dog on daily walks, so I’m comfortable handling dogs and making sure they get the exercise, attention, and care they need. I am responsible, dependable, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. Whether your pet needs a walk, playtime, feeding, companionship, or overnight care, I will treat them with the same love and attention that I give my own pets. I currently work part-time during the summer and am a full-time college student during the academic year, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability to care for your pets. This summer, I have ample time for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, feeding, and companionship. Whether your pet needs a quick check-in, a long walk, or extra attention while you're away, I am committed to providing reliable, caring, and attentive service for your furry family members. I follow each pet’s routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, and litter box care. I provide plenty of attention, affection, and companionship to help pets feel comfortable and secure. My goal is to maintain their normal routine while creating a safe, loving, and stress-free environment.
About: Greetings! I'm Daniel, I've been pet-sitting and dog-walking off and on for 17 years. I love animals: With me, you get a new friend for your pets, and a dependable steward of your home. I believe in the Hawaiian meaning of "Kahu," that we should be guardians and beloved attendants of our animal friends. I devote highly sensitive heart-centered care for your pets for two main reasons: 1) I am a remote worker as a writer and healing coach, so I can be at home with our furry friends. I am not just feeding and walking your dog(s) and caring for your cats; I am providing emotional support and plenty of care (frequent outdoor breaks and walks, playtime, pats, massage, energy work, etc.). 2) I am a professional in the practice of meditation and the healing arts, a path that cultivates empathy, which helps me bond with animals and be more attuned to their needs. I have been on this path for 17 years. I am highly intuitive. I practice Eastern techniques of energy work (qi qong and martial arts) and I am a certified Reiki practitioner, so I love to connect with animals as part of that practice (they are great conductors of energy, which is only ever healing and calming for them to experience). I aspire to the highest level of performance and etiquette. I promise to treat your pets and space as sacred; to maintain a clear boundary between me and your possessions; and to leave no trace. I understand that by inviting me into your home to care for your pets and space that I am with you as a new friend. From my many years of cultivation on my spiritual, healing, and professional path, I assure you my integrity is outstanding, and I would be happy to send you testimonies and references to confirm. Thank you for your trust. I would be happy to chat about sitting or walking for you. I look forward to joining you and yours' in friendship. Warm regards, Daniel I will be available to be at home with your pet for most of every day that I am sitting. My only obligation that takes me out of house are walking other dogs (1 to 3 hours per day) and then the occasional social or other engagement. I will never leave your pet alone for longer than 5 hours. As a remote worker, both for writing and offering healing/coaching services, I work from home and am therefore able to maintain a comforting presence for your pet and provide frequent outdoor time, play, and other care. I recognize the great trust that people grant me in caring for their homes and pets. Integrity is a guiding value of my life: You can rest assured that I will honor my commitment to care for your space and pets with the utmost attention and respect. I'll honor your instructions for being in your house and caring for your pets. I always live lightly, use no more than I need and am permitted to use, and I leave no trace. Thank you for your trust. Daniel

About: I’ve always been around dogs and got my own dog 8 years ago. I have have always taken care of dogs in my neighborhood for long amount of time or for even just to feed or let out. I have a full time job Monday thru Thursday but I’m free on the weekends. I’m most likely will not be available for major holidays . I live in a new apartment building that has a small dog park. I usually take my dog on hikes or walks around the neighborhood.
About: I have had at least one dog at all times of my life, ranging from big to small and young to old. I’d say I have been the primary dog walker in my house since I was around 10 years old and have gradually added responsibilities over the years. I’ve been fortunate enough to help watch, walk, or check-in on friends and family pets for years now as well. I currently have two pups, both King Charles Cavaliers. I recently graduated with my Master’s and only working part-time this Summer while studying for my board exam. This allows for plenty of time throughout the week, or at potentially strange hours to do visits or walks. I am happy to offer check-in, walks, or even pet-sitting depending on how much notice I receive. I previously have had senior pets with varying needs and totally understand every situation is different. I’d be happy to follow any directions on specific caregiving for your pets and make them as comfortable and happy as I can.

I also have a car so I can be quick to get to locations I love being attentive to pets and their needs whether it’s playing, going on walks, potty breaks, and keeping track of food and water intake.
“Jackie was awesome! Skye is a very unique dog - super protective of his family and his property. To have Jackie able to walk into the house on her own, put a collar on him and walk him was great. Hope to use her again!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
