House Sitting in Park West, San Diego

About: As a registered nurse I cannot commit to being a doggy parent yet, but I sure do love helping other families and their pets. While having strong integrity, I believe my ability to meet animals where they are and respect their quirks makes me an ideal pet sitter. I see that every animal is an individual and would love to adhere to a routine that you set out for them. I am currently taking a short break from nursing and enjoying exploring San Diego. I have open availability until mid-September. Beyond that, I would love to fit pet sitting into my routine and will see if I am able to accomodate that with a new schedule. I typically work 3 12 hrs shift so that does leave some days open. I try to always adhere to the pet's routine and love learning likes and dislikes. I have worked in other's homes before as a home-based therapeutic worker with children and have also done tons of babysitting. I am always easily accessible and leave places better than I find them.

About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life -- both my own dogs and as the go-to sitter for friends, family, colleagues, and neighbors. Across my extensive time caring for dogs, I have gained experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I am particularly good with nervous or timid dogs, and I am very comfortable with dogs who have special medical needs. Last year I had to say goodbye to my own greatly beloved dog after two years of very intense cancer care. While I am not ready for a new dog of my own yet, I am eager to shower other people's dogs with affection and care. I have a very flexible schedule and am available for dog care most days. On days listed as available, I am able to spend almost all of the time at home with the dog(s). I do not currently have any other animals in the home, and your dog will receive my full attention! I have a wide variety of dog beds for them to try out and toys for them to play with.

We were very nervous that we wouldn’t find anyone, and then we met Alina. I can firmly say Alina is someone I will be booking with now going forward and someone I trust wholeheartedly with my dog, and my home! She is such an incredibly kind person, responsible, thoughtful and big dog lover- Moose loved her immediately. “Colin made it possible for us to have a four-day weekend getaway without any stress or worries about our fur babies. My wife was somewhat anxious and debated about canceling our plans, but once we met Collin she was no longer worried! When we did our meet and greet, we knew right away that he was the right choice. Collin is professional and expressed a sincere interest in taking care of our dogs. Once we left, he sent us a photo of their first walk; this made us super happy and gave me peace of mind. Through out the trip he would send us updates and send us pictures. He fed them on schedule and took them on their routine walks every day! He even gifted them a toy! That was super sweet. Collin went above and beyond for sure! We returned to our house, hugged our dogs and even found our patio looking more tidy than before. Collin is definitely our first and second choice for taking care of Puggy and Coco. About: My care is consistent and detail-oriented. Friends and family ask me to come help with feeding, walking, bathing, and playing to ensure their pets have a quality experience, and build a trusting bond with me! I am a full time teacher until early June. I get off early afternoons and am able to dedicate time outdoors and around the neighborhood on weekends. I enjoy going on walks and runs for daily activity. We have a gated courtyard and ample parks nearby for walks! There is a senior dog that enjoys playing and relaxing outside with your pet. I’m comfortable with crating and using gates to facilitate positive behavior.
