About: I am a wildlife biologist for the Georgia DNR working for the Urban Wildlife Program. I have years of experience dog-sitting, primarily for large- and medium-sized dogs in the Chicago area. My work schedule is very flexible, allowing me to take my time to care for your critters! A large part of my job is responding to wildlife emergencies using years of experience and best-judgment decision making, which makes for a great pet-sitter. I am a wildlife biologist that works from home in Decatur. My workload is quite low so it is easy to fit pet care into my schedule throughout the week. My flexible schedule affords me ample time to provide proper attention to animals. I have a calm demeanor with strong attention to detail when it comes to care instruction. My experience as a wildlife biologist has trained me how to monitor animals for emergencies and how to be calm in the face of the unknown or unexpected. I am used to following strict research protocol, so following along for the care of your animal will be a breeze.

About: I've had pets my entire life and have been through every stage, from bottle babies to seniors, and I've never met an animal I didn't love. I have volunteered in shelters throughout the years, so I have plenty of experience cleaning up after animals and dispensing medication, when necessary. I work in academia, so my schedule is very flexible, and I can check in on pets and go for walks in the middle of the day. I work in academia, so aside from the odd meeting, I have a flexible schedule. I also have the freedom to work from home when needed, so I can be home when we have visitors. I have four cats, so I can only host cats in the house. We have rooms with closed doors where my cats aren't allowed, so any visitors can have their own space if needed. At a client's house, I'll gladly stop by for an informal visit to meet your pet, learn their routine, and collect keys.
“Lindsey was amazing with my pup! She was so kind to my baby and made sure he got quality walks, was fed, and had plenty of time to use the restroom. She was very communicative and easy to work with, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away. I’d definitely trust her again to watch Saint! Highly recommend.”

About: I’ve owned dogs almost my entire life and have experience with dogs of all sizes, ages, and energy levels. Animals are my passion and in addition to pet sitting, I foster for LifeLine Animal project. I’ve fostered over 25 dogs in my time as a volunteer. Through volunteering, I’ve also taken a Behavior Treatment class for shy/fearful and leash-reactive dogs, so if your pup has some behavioral special needs, I’m more than happy to take the time to make them and you as comfortable as possible. I so look forward to meeting you and your fur babies! I work from home 4 days a week and 1 day a week in the office on Wednesday, with some flexibility. I am available to pet sit in your home or for drop-in visits. My schedule can be modified to accommodate the needs of you and your pets! I treat your pet with the same love and attention as I’d treat my own. Animals are family, and I appreciate the trust you’ve given me to provide the best care for your pet.

“Jacqueline did a great job checking on 5 dogs for me! It was super last minute and she was willing to come over to do a meet and greet and then let them out the very next day. I can tell they were very happy and had a great time with her.”

I do drop-ins, playdates, and walks, and can also feed / administer medication while you're out. Overall, I'd love to tailor every visit to what you're hoping your dog gets to experience in their social time, individually with me or alongside my dog, Zeppelin. He is very calm, well-trained, and friendly, and we'd love to help your puppy practice their social skills f you'd like. If your dog is working on confidence, manners, or just needs a gentle friend to learn from, my dog is a great teacher! It's also important for me to create an environment that they genuinely enjoy, whether at your home or outside, so would love to chat about what your dog likes, doesn't like, etc. prior to our meet-and-greet so I can come with some treats or ideas of things to do together! 🐶 Creative play: Enrichment games, fetch, scent games, and simple training fun, either one-on-one with me or alongside my own dog, Zeppelin, who loves other dogs and is very calm and gentle! 🌳 Slow sniff-walks: Perfect for puppies, seniors, anxious dogs, or anyone who needs to decompress. Sniffing is brain work, and we take our time. 🏃 Faster-paced walks & runs: For high-energy dogs who need to burn off steam and come home happily tired. ☀️ Heat-smart care: I pay close attention to heat tolerance, pavement temperature, shade, and water breaks, and I plan activity and feeding times around them so your dog stays comfortable, safe, and well adjusted. Adventures Beyond the Block My car is equipped with a safety puppy seat, so if you'd like, I can take your dog on outings like hiking trails, nearby parks, or fun new places to explore. Having a secure and happy dog is one of the most rewarding feelings ever, and I'd love to help make sure that special days with me contribute to that! Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Panthersville
Dan was fantastic watching our 1 year old English lab Azalea. We scheduled him for a series of drop in visits, he was right on time for each one, communicated frequently, shared pictures, and took great care of our girl. We will be booking him again in the future!

Aiiaha was great and Cali loved her, which I’ve had a hard time in the past finding people that Cali would like. Cali is a dog that goes on vibes and doesn’t get along with a lot of people. Aiiaha was right on time and very professional and was great with both of my dogs! So glad to have found her to help!!

Lindsey was awesome and did a fantastic job caring for my dog, Angel. The pictures and videos took the story. Angel was so happy and surprised me, on how Lindsey could bring the best version of Angel. It has taught me where I need to work on to better our relationship. I was impressed with Lindsey’s professionalism and all the extra things done (bushed Angel’s undercoat) I highly recommend Lindsey dog care services. I was was truly delighted and would rebook without hesitation! Thank you Rover!!

Fantastic sitter! Deb took great care of my cats while I was away and gave me peace of mind throughout my trip. I really appreciated the updates and photos from each visit. I came home to two happy, well-cared-for cats. I will definitely book Deb again and highly recommend her as a sitter!

Jeremy was a wonderful pet sitter! This was the third time we’ve trusted him to care for our cats, and once again, he did an excellent job. He was reliable, attentive, and clearly cared for them as if they were his own. We came home to happy, well-cared-for cats, and everything was just as we left it. We highly recommend Jeremy to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable pet sitter. Thank you again for taking such great care of our furry family!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks.
