Brian is so wonderful! We have a very full house with multiple cats and dogs and a rabbit and a bearded dragon and it’s hard to find someone who is reliable with a large herd. Brian provided great updates throughout the whole stay and when we returned home, everyone was clearly very well taken care of and our house was very clean! 100% will hire Brian again so we don’t have to worry while we are away :)

About: Hi! I’m a professional dog walker, sitter, and trainer with 10+ years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, personalities, and needs. I grew up in a household that always had multiple dogs and cats, so animal care has been second nature to me for as long as I can remember. Over the past several years, I’ve worked professionally as a dog trainer and walker/sitter, and I’ve continued to educate myself independently on humane, modern training techniques. I’m a hands-on, patient caregiver who believes trust always comes before progress. I have experience working with: • Puppies, including those with growth or weight concerns • Adult dogs needing structure, enrichment, or training reinforcement • Senior and end-of-life dogs, where comfort, dignity, and calm care are essential • Reactive, fearful, or socially anxious dogs, including those who need slow, low-pressure exposure to the outside world • Cats of all temperaments — including shy, slow-to-warm, or easily overstimulated cats • Multi-cat households and maintaining established routines • Reading feline body language and respecting boundaries rather than forcing interaction If a dog is overwhelmed or scared, I’m willing to slow things down completely — pausing a walk, resetting, and earning their trust rather than pushing them past their comfort zone. I focus on safety, confidence-building, and clear communication, never force or punishment-based methods. I don’t rearrange or invade a cat’s space, rush interactions, or assume sociability — I follow their lead. I offer in-home visits only, allowing pets to remain in the environment where they feel safest. I strictly follow owner instructions regarding routines, leashes, yards, medications, and general safety. No one knows your pet better than you, and your pet’s well-being is always my top priority. I currently dedicate my time fully to pet care and am looking to build Rover into a consistent, long-term part-time role, which means reliability, communication, and genuine care are non-negotiable for me. Safety comes first, always — and that means prevention, not reaction. I rely on clear routines, secure leashing, environment awareness, and reading body language early so situations don’t escalate. I don’t rush dogs into unfamiliar spaces, interactions, or movements. If something feels off, we pause, reset, or change course. I follow owner instructions closely because consistency keeps dogs safe and regulated. In short: I’d rather take a slower, safer walk than push a dog into stress.

About: I’ve grown up with my grandma, and have had all kinds of dogs from Chihuahua to black labs. now I have two Rottweilers and six cats. Sounds like a mad house but I love my animals and couldn’t live without them. My grandma made sure that when she couldn’t take care of them after her surgery’s she made sure I could take care of them properly. I work from home so I’m typically home with all my animals making sure they are okay and every morning I wake up feed them make sure they are clean fed and using the restroom. I typically take them for a walk in the mornings before it’s to hot or before the sun goes down. I have multiple cages if they do need to be caged but I have two rot Rottweilers myself and they can play together if you choose and feel safe that they do so. My yard is fenced and I have plenty of dog toys and treats.

About: I have experience caring for dogs, fish, chickens, ducks, geese, and other small animals, as well as maintaining gardens, plants, and outdoor spaces. My background as a Life Planning Coordinator has strengthened my attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to follow instructions carefully. I am especially patient with senior pets who may need extra attention, slower walks, medication reminders, or a consistent routine. I am also comfortable caring for shy, anxious, or newly adopted pets who benefit from a calm presence and gentle reassurance. As an avid gardener and nature lover, I can care for houseplants, vegetable gardens, herbs, and outdoor watering schedules. Homeowners appreciate that I treat their homes with respect, keeping them clean, secure, and well-maintained. I provide regular updates, photos, and prompt communication so pet parents can enjoy their time away with peace of mind. My goal is simple: to care for your pets and home as if they were my own, leaving everything happy, healthy, and well cared for when you return. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work independently and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide consistent attention, companionship, feeding, walks, playtime, and home care throughout the day. I typically begin my mornings with outdoor activities, gardening, or walking, making it easy to incorporate pet walks, feeding schedules, and exercise routines. Throughout the day, I am attentive to each pet's individual needs, whether that means companionship for a social pet, quiet reassurance for a senior pet, or maintaining established routines to reduce stress while their family is away. Because I value structure and communication, I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise requirements, and household preferences. I also provide regular updates and photos so pet parents can relax knowing their pets and home are receiving attentive care. Whether caring for pets during a house sit, drop-in visit, or walk, my goal is to create a calm, safe, and loving environment that keeps pets comfortable and happy while maintaining the routines they know and trust. When caring for pets in a client's home, my priority is maintaining the routines, environment, and level of care they are accustomed to. I understand that pets feel most comfortable when their daily schedule remains consistent, so I carefully follow feeding instructions, exercise routines, medication schedules, and household guidelines. I take time to get to know each pet's personality, preferences, and comfort level. Whether they enjoy long walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or simply sticking to a familiar routine, I adapt my care to meet their individual needs. Safety is extremely important to me. I ensure doors, gates, and windows are secure, monitor pets during outdoor activities, and remain attentive to any changes in behavior, appetite, or well-being. If concerns arise, I communicate promptly with the pet owner and follow any emergency instructions provided. I also respect and care for my clients' homes as if they were my own. I keep living areas tidy, bring in mail or packages if requested, water plants, and maintain a clean, peaceful environment. Throughout the stay, I provide regular updates and photos so pet parents can travel with confidence, knowing their pets and home are in caring, reliable hands.

I have just returned from Asia after Numa and his lovely family sat my two boys and stayed at my house for 10 days. Having never used a sitter before, I must say i was really reluctant to do so. Numa agreed to look after my bulldogs whilst I was in Japan and Hong Kong. The weekend prior to leaving, I sent Numa an email detailing everything about my gated community, house and, of course, the boys. Numa and Madeleine arrived on the day I was leaving with an extensive check list they had put together, to ensure everyone was comfortable and happy. It made me feel really content - i could instantly see how detailed, caring and thorough they were. In addition, when we did the initial meet and greet one of my boys Archie (who is a typical English bulldog and can be a bit rambunctious when first meeting someone) jumped up and scratched Numa. After we agreed to Numa sitting the boys, he even offered to pick them up prior to my going away and take them to get their nails trimmed - what a lovely gesture (I of course took care of this, but it showed the detail and care he and Madeleine went to prior and during staying at my house). They provided me with daily updates, photos and videos. In every one of them i could tell how happy my boys were - frankly having been back only a few hours I think the boys are rather disappointed it was me coming through the door! This morning I found one of the dogs lying in the room they slept in! I reckon that's their own 5 star rating! Numa and Madeleine are people of the highest integrity, and I could tell how important it was for them that I was comfortable. I can honestly say whilst i was away i had absolutely zero concerns as i knew my boys were being loved and cared for, probably better than I do! It made my important trip all the much easier. I wanted to leave this review as, if like me you needed assistance to look after your dogs but were worried, YOU SHOULD PICK NUMA AND HIS WIFE EVERY TIME! MY only hesitation in leaving this review is that more people want to work with Numa and Madeleine and it might mean they cant take care of Archie and Gus when i next travel :-) Oh and one other thing, when i arrived last night, my house was as clean and tidy as its ever been and Madeleine communicated all the logistics of her departure. I simply couldn't be happier that I met them and would work with them without hesitation! They are welcome at my place any time.

About: Dogs aren’t just pets to me… they’re family. I’ve been caring for dogs for 10 plus years, and I truly love getting to know each pup’s personality, quirks, and favorite belly rub spots. Whether your dog is playful and energetic or more of a cuddle-on-the-couch type, I make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home. I have an open and flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention and care throughout the day. I’m available for weekdays, weekends, and holidays, and I can accommodate last-minute bookings when needed. Your dog won’t be left alone for long periods and will get lots of supervision, playtime, and companionship. 🐾 I take time to learn each dog’s routine, behavior, and any special needs so I can care for them the way you do. Whether that means sticking to specific feeding schedules, administering medication, or giving them space when they need quiet time, I follow your instructions closely. If I’m in a client’s home, I’m respectful of your space and keep your pet’s routine as normal as possible to reduce stress. I monitor for any changes in behavior, appetite, or energy and will contact you right away if anything seems off. I believe trust is built through communication, consistency, and genuine love for animals and I treat every pet like they’re my own family member. 🐾❤️

About: Every animal deserves to be cared for with special attention. My name is MJ (or Meghan). I have raised a few dogs myself, and have watched family and friends pets (including snakes, spiders, and chinchillas). I’ve volunteered at animal shelters walking dogs, playing with critters, cleaning their living spaces and even fostering a few dogs. I enjoy the healing energy animals bring, as well as the exercise. I love all kinds of animals! Slightly unrelated, I also have a bachelors degree in psychology and I use that in daily life. I bartend part time at a restaurant, so I have a lot of free time, especially mornings. My day is centered around playing with my dog (hide and seek with toys or treats or myself, tricks for treats, tug of war, fetch and taking her on walks). It has slowed down since she got diagnosed with early onset advanced arthritis, so I thought it would be fun to look for something I would love to do but also make a little extra money doing. We just moved to Las Vegas six months ago so I’d like to build a foundation here. I have booties if necessary (for medium -medium large dogs), treats, and poop bags already at my disposal. I live in a two bedroom two bathroom condo, so the care of your cutie would be lots of playtime, walks and reward driven activities!

FAQs for House Sitting - Pahrump

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Pahrump on Rover is $49.95 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 230 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Pahrump. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pahrump walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pahrump maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pahrump choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pahrump. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
