About: Nick and Loren have been long-time pet owners from childhood and love helping others with their favorite animals. We truly miss having a dog of our own and would love to help you take care of yours! Nick works from home full time and Loren is available multiple times a week. We have a solid amount of bandwidth to help with any situation. We live in a 2 bed/2bath apartment where your animal will receive their own space. We also have an adjacent park in our complex, Kate Sessions nearby and a small/large dogpark right next to us. Plenty of opportunities for your dog to play!

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, dogs, cats, you name it, so being with pets feels super natural to me. I’ve taken care of everything from tiny, zoomy puppies to sweet senior pets who just want some love and chill time. I’m super patient and love figuring out each pet’s vibe and what makes them feel happy and safe. Some things I have experience with: • Helping with crate training and puppy routines • Giving meds to older pets (and sneaking it into treats like a pro) • Handling multiple pets at once (especially dogs and cats!) • Going on long walks for high-energy pups • Spending extra time with nervous or shy animals who need a gentle approach I’m also big on communication, so I’ll keep you updated with pics and how your pet is doing. I seriously treat every pet like my own, and I’ll make sure they’re not just safe, but actually having a good time while you’re away! Right now I’m studying for the LSAT, so my schedule is super flexible and open! I’m usually at home or at a local coffee shop studying, which means I can easily fit in walks, drop-ins, or playtime! Pet care actually gives me the perfect break from studying. I love getting outside for a walk or spending time with animals to reset my brain. Since I’m not juggling a 9–5 or full-time classes, I have tons of availability during the day and evenings, weekdays and weekends. Whether your pet needs a quick check-in, a long walk, or just some company, I can be there when you need me! At my place, I have a medium-sized home with a small, fenced-in patio that’s perfect for fresh air and quick potty breaks. I’m also super close to the bay and a few parks, so your pup will get plenty of outdoor time, walks, and sniff breaks! Inside, there’s lots of cozy space to lounge, play, or just nap in a sunny spot.

“Dylan was really fantastic with my pup! My pup gets a little anxiety when away from us, and Dylan was a star handling him! They went for a couple of walks, and my pup came away tired and happy. Will definitely use Dylan again next time we are in San Diego ?”

About: Hello guys, my name is Rachel and I would love the opportunity to pet sit for your dogs and or cats! I am a native of San Diego and live in Pacific Beach. For my whole life, I have grown up with animals of all sorts dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, etc., so I have experience with animals of all sizes and ages. Currently, I have a 8 month old Belgian mallinois/pyranese and a cat. If you have any questions feel free to reach out and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Hopefully, we can meet up and discuss this further! Overall my schedule is pretty flexible throughout the week (mon-sun). I am open to discussing a schedule that works for both of us so feel free to reach out! I would also like to add that I charge a small additional fee per day for some holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Christmas, New Years, and July 4th). This is not reflected on my Rover prices “holiday rate”. Happy to disclose the additional fee on a case to case basis prior to booking. Details for the services I offer: Dog drop-ins (30 or 60 mins)- include letting the dog/dogs out front of the house to go to the bathroom, feeding/watering, and playing with the dog/dogs around the house. Cat drop-ins (30 or 60 mins)-include feeding/watering the cat/cats, and playing with the cats. Dog walk (30 or 60 mins)- separate from a drop-in; includes one walk for the dog/dogs for the duration of the requested time. There is a small fee for more than one dog during a walk. If you would like two separate walks during the same visit this will be an additional charge. Doggy daycare (up to 8hrs)- requires consultation beforehand so I can have our dogs meet. I live in a house with a fully fenced yard. I can only accommodate one dog a day for daycare because I already have a very friendly dog at the house. Your dog will always have access to the yard and I include two walks and two feedings during the visit. I do have a cat that is an indoor/outdoor cat but he keeps to himself and shouldn’t be an issue. I will be available to supervise the dogs all day and you can choose a start and end time (up to 8hrs). Half days are also available (up to 4hrs) for $94. Half days include one walk and one feeding. Both full and half days include optional pick up and drop off transportation for your pup in PB or LJ only. If your dog loves to play with other dogs and is high energy our dogs will be best friends! Happy to meet up for a free, quick consultation before any booking!

About: Dear Pet Parent, I’m excited to offer dog walking and pet care services through Rover. With over five years of experience fostering and training dogs, plus professional animal care work and certifications, I bring not only love and patience to every walk but also deep knowledge and hands-on skill. I'm Fear Free Certified, meaning I use low-stress handling techniques that help animals feel safe and comfortable. I’m also certified in Wildlife Rehabilitation and Zoo and Aquarium Science through the Animal Behavior Institute, where I studied animal handling, enrichment, health, and behavior. I’ve worked with the San Diego Humane Society, caring for both cats and dogs—feeding, administering meds, monitoring behavior, and providing enrichment. I've also volunteered with Wicomico County Humane Society and spent the last five years with Labs and More Dog Rescue, fostering and helping train dogs for adoption. These experiences taught me how to read animal body language, support behavior modification, and work with pets of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. Whether your dog needs an energetic walk, a slow stroll, or some extra TLC, I’ll treat them like my own—with safety, kindness, and attention to their unique needs. Thank you for considering me to care for your pet. I’d love to meet you and your furry friend! Warmly, Tarah I currently work from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility and free time to devote to caring for pets. Whether it’s daily walks, feeding, or playtime, I’m available throughout the day to provide attentive and consistent care. Being at home means I can easily adapt to your pet’s routine and needs, ensuring they get plenty of attention and companionship. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets, whether in my home or at a client’s home. I always make sure the environment is secure and comfortable, checking gates, doors, and fencing before any play or walk to prevent escapes. I pay close attention to each pet’s individual needs and preferences to reduce stress and keep them happy. In my care, pets receive gentle handling with respect to their comfort levels, especially since I’m Fear Free Certified and trained in low-stress techniques. Whether walking, playing, or simply spending quiet time together, I ensure a calm and positive atmosphere. I also maintain clear communication with pet owners about their pet’s well-being and any changes I observe, so we can work together to keep their furry family members safe and content. I also have a 6-year-old Husky mix who is very friendly and loves meeting new dogs and cats. Having a dog of my own has given me great insight into animal behavior and the importance of careful introductions and supervised interactions. Whether your pet is playful or shy, I’m experienced in creating a safe, welcoming space where all animals can feel comfortable and secure.

“⸻ I’ve had the pleasure of watching Sammy care for a wide range of animals over the years, including dogs and cats of varying temperaments and needs. Her experience spans over a decade, with daily care of a Basset Hound, a White Swiss Shepherd, and a Red Abyssinian cat—each requiring a unique approach and deep commitment. Sammy has a natural ability to connect with animals, grounded in mutual respect, gentleness, and intuitive understanding. She’s reliable, calm under pressure, and treats every pet as if they were her own. From a young age, she’s demonstrated an extraordinary passion for animal care, and that dedication has only grown stronger over time. I’d trust her with any animal, without hesitation.”

Jacob was truly the best person that has ever taken care of my dogs. They are both older Jack Russells and the one is partially blind. Jacob accommodated my husband and I in every possible way. We were staying at L’auberge hotel and we went to the Del Mar racecourse. He picked the dogs up on schedule and delivered them in perfect condition. When they saw me, they weren’t really very excited, which is indicative of how happy they were. He is the nicest person I’ve ever had take care of the dogs and I would highly recommend him and give him five stars. Lynne Bentel

Fantastic Last-Minute Sitter! Rebecca was incredibly prompt and responsive when I reached out for a last-minute booking to watch Whiskey for a few hours. She made the entire process smooth and stress-free, and it was clear right away that she genuinely cares about the pets she watches. Whiskey was comfortable and happy with her, and he got along wonderfully with her dog—which was a big plus! I really appreciated the care and attention she gave him. Highly recommend her and will definitely book again
Conner and Lindsay are wonderful pet sitters who took excellent care of my fur baby. Right off the bat when we first met, I got an excellent first impression. They are very warm, friendly and knowledgeable! During my doggie sit I got updates and a pic, which was really appreciated. I look forward to booking with them again in the future!!

My Poppy loved her days with Kelsey and Armand! We came down for our annual vacation and wanted to find daycare for a few days. Kelsey and Armand took great care of her and made me feel completely comfortable leaving her. We will definitely use them again on our next trip down.

Lucas clearly loves dogs. He sent us pics and videos of our pug throughout her daycare days and she was having the time of her life ! His home is a great respite (very large, safe, fenced and fun place to romp or sleep) for the pups after usually a big park/play session. Lucas is professional and easy to work with. Highly recommend.

Leah is a true professional when it comes to dogs, and I felt completely at ease leaving my dog in her care. While staying with her, my dog seemed stress-free, able to play freely and relax comfortably. She also sent me photos regularly, which was very reassuring. I found her to be someone I could truly trust.

I am so glad I found Julia. Gingerbread will be visiting with her and her pups every time we are passing through San Diego. I was so impressed when gingerbread ran up to the door on her second day of daycare! She never likes to leave my side, but she enjoyed her daycare so much - that she was excited to spend time with Julia and her dogs instead of me for the day!

We are so grateful to Bri for taking such wonderful care of our two pups, Marley and Zero, while we were away on a family trip to SeaWorld! She was incredibly pleasant, friendly, and clearly has a natural love for animals. We especially appreciated how she kept in touch throughout the day, sending us adorable updates and photos that gave us so much peace of mind. Knowing our furry family members were in such good hands made all the difference. We highly recommend Bri and will definitely be booking with her again when we’re in the San Diego area!
