About: Dear Pet Parent, I’m excited to offer dog walking and pet care services through Rover. With over five years of experience fostering and training dogs, plus professional animal care work and certifications, I bring not only love and patience to every walk but also deep knowledge and hands-on skill. I'm Fear Free Certified, meaning I use low-stress handling techniques that help animals feel safe and comfortable. I’m also certified in Wildlife Rehabilitation and Zoo and Aquarium Science through the Animal Behavior Institute, where I studied animal handling, enrichment, health, and behavior. I’ve worked with the San Diego Humane Society, caring for both cats and dogs—feeding, administering meds, monitoring behavior, and providing enrichment. I've also volunteered with Wicomico County Humane Society and spent the last five years with Labs and More Dog Rescue, fostering and helping train dogs for adoption. These experiences taught me how to read animal body language, support behavior modification, and work with pets of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. Whether your dog needs an energetic walk, a slow stroll, or some extra TLC, I’ll treat them like my own—with safety, kindness, and attention to their unique needs. Thank you for considering me to care for your pet. I’d love to meet you and your furry friend! Warmly, Tarah I currently work from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility and free time to devote to caring for pets. Whether it’s daily walks, feeding, or playtime, I’m available throughout the day to provide attentive and consistent care. Being at home means I can easily adapt to your pet’s routine and needs, ensuring they get plenty of attention and companionship. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets, whether in my home or at a client’s home. I always make sure the environment is secure and comfortable, checking gates, doors, and fencing before any play or walk to prevent escapes. I pay close attention to each pet’s individual needs and preferences to reduce stress and keep them happy. In my care, pets receive gentle handling with respect to their comfort levels, especially since I’m Fear Free Certified and trained in low-stress techniques. Whether walking, playing, or simply spending quiet time together, I ensure a calm and positive atmosphere. I also maintain clear communication with pet owners about their pet’s well-being and any changes I observe, so we can work together to keep their furry family members safe and content. I also have a 6-year-old Husky mix who is very friendly and loves meeting new dogs and cats. Having a dog of my own has given me great insight into animal behavior and the importance of careful introductions and supervised interactions. Whether your pet is playful or shy, I’m experienced in creating a safe, welcoming space where all animals can feel comfortable and secure.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, dogs, cats, you name it, so being with pets feels super natural to me. I’ve taken care of everything from tiny, zoomy puppies to sweet senior pets who just want some love and chill time. I’m super patient and love figuring out each pet’s vibe and what makes them feel happy and safe. Some things I have experience with: • Helping with crate training and puppy routines • Giving meds to older pets (and sneaking it into treats like a pro) • Handling multiple pets at once (especially dogs and cats!) • Going on long walks for high-energy pups • Spending extra time with nervous or shy animals who need a gentle approach I’m also big on communication, so I’ll keep you updated with pics and how your pet is doing. I seriously treat every pet like my own, and I’ll make sure they’re not just safe, but actually having a good time while you’re away! Right now I’m studying for the LSAT, so my schedule is super flexible and open! I’m usually at home or at a local coffee shop studying, which means I can easily fit in walks, drop-ins, or playtime! Pet care actually gives me the perfect break from studying. I love getting outside for a walk or spending time with animals to reset my brain. Since I’m not juggling a 9–5 or full-time classes, I have tons of availability during the day and evenings, weekdays and weekends. Whether your pet needs a quick check-in, a long walk, or just some company, I can be there when you need me! At my place, I have a medium-sized home with a small, fenced-in patio that’s perfect for fresh air and quick potty breaks. I’m also super close to the bay and a few parks, so your pup will get plenty of outdoor time, walks, and sniff breaks! Inside, there’s lots of cozy space to lounge, play, or just nap in a sunny spot.

“Julie was so responsive and accommodating, even with a young puppy and a last-minute request for daycare help when my work schedule unexpectedly changed. She and her sweet dog Mr Carson were a welcoming companions for a doggie who’s been through a lot of changes in just a few days. Her communication updates and photos were fantastic. A consummate professional, who came across as knowledgeable, experienced and reassuring.”

“Molly is a great sitter! She sent pictures throughout the day and was very responsive to messages. Tombstone had a wonderful time staying with her for doggy daycare. Would book again.”

“I can see why Dylan has received so many excellent reviews: a true dog lover and great guy. My little Havanese had a great time and was so happy. Highly recommended!”

“Kelsey did an amazing job with my pup Cashew! She helped watch him three days in a row while I was at work and by day 2 he was running up to the door so excited to be there. She took him on walks throughout the day and did a great job of sending updates throughout the day too. Cashew and I are excited to work with Kelsey again soon!”

About: My 13 year old son and I love animals!! If you are looking for dependable, communicative, attentive and caring walkers/sitters, look no further! Our goal is to serve you by making booking easy and proving exceptional care for your furbabies!! So, please do not hesitate to contact me with questions or for help with booking (rates, dates, etc). Also, we are happy to do a meet n' greet if it's your first time using our services that way your pup can get familiar with us. 🐕 I've loved animals ever since I was young. I've had many different types of pets over the years (cats, reptiles, fish and hamsters)! And my son has had a love for (and incredible connection with) dogs since the womb. Even though we are new to Rover, we have been helping family and friends with their pets for years and have been walking and sitting in our neighborhood daily for the past year. We have experience caring for many different types of dogs, big and small, and have worked with dogs that are super high energy as well as ones with anxiety that just need a calming companion. Puppies are always a blast and we love seniors too. We care for cats and feathered friends as well! 🐈 We truly enjoy caring for pets together and would love to play with, walk and sit for your beloved pets while you are away! 🐕🦺 I am a nutritionist working from home and my son is homeschooled, so we have a flexible schedule and can offer services at different times throughout the day and often accommodate last minute requests. 🐩 Your pets safety and experience with us is priority. I will always contact you if I'm unsure about something and will follow any instructions you provide. You can expect a check-in message from me with photos, unless you request otherwise. I'll be available by phone or will return text messages promptly should you reach out to me.

I have an open schedule just doing freelance work from home. I am open to early morning walks and weekend overnight stays! I don’t have any big trips for the foreseeable future. I have a fenced in and very safe yard. I have no pets of my own so no need to worry about pets who are best when not around other pets.

My Poppy loved her days with Kelsey and Armand! We came down for our annual vacation and wanted to find daycare for a few days. Kelsey and Armand took great care of her and made me feel completely comfortable leaving her. We will definitely use them again on our next trip down.

Sunny is so warm and friendly, and was super accommodating with our schedule. She made our dog Bandit, who has separation anxiety, calm and comfortable right from the start. Her beautiful home and dog friendly yard were perfect for Bandit and he had a great time with Sunny and her sweet dog. We will be booking again this week. Thanks Sunny!

Lucas clearly loves dogs. He sent us pics and videos of our pug throughout her daycare days and she was having the time of her life ! His home is a great respite (very large, safe, fenced and fun place to romp or sleep) for the pups after usually a big park/play session. Lucas is professional and easy to work with. Highly recommend.

Leah is a true professional when it comes to dogs, and I felt completely at ease leaving my dog in her care. While staying with her, my dog seemed stress-free, able to play freely and relax comfortably. She also sent me photos regularly, which was very reassuring. I found her to be someone I could truly trust.

I am so glad I found Julia. Gingerbread will be visiting with her and her pups every time we are passing through San Diego. I was so impressed when gingerbread ran up to the door on her second day of daycare! She never likes to leave my side, but she enjoyed her daycare so much - that she was excited to spend time with Julia and her dogs instead of me for the day!

We are so grateful to Bri for taking such wonderful care of our two pups, Marley and Zero, while we were away on a family trip to SeaWorld! She was incredibly pleasant, friendly, and clearly has a natural love for animals. We especially appreciated how she kept in touch throughout the day, sending us adorable updates and photos that gave us so much peace of mind. Knowing our furry family members were in such good hands made all the difference. We highly recommend Bri and will definitely be booking with her again when we’re in the San Diego area!

Elizaveta provided the best care for our new pup who has dog reactivity and separation anxiety. She was extremely responsible and gave plenty of updates throughout the day. I felt fully confident that she knew how to handle such a complex and big dog. I will definitely be rebooking in the future!
