“Kristina was a lifesaver when our usual dog sitter had to cancel last minute due to a health emergency. Kristina was available on short notice and even made time to come meet our dog Lorenzo a few days ahead to get him comfortable with her, and learn his routine and care needs. After that brief visit and her warm and patient approach with him, he took to her, and we felt completely at ease knowing he was in great hands. She kept us updated on how he was doing during the day and took great care of him. We will definitely be using Kristina again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for help with their pet!”

“Samantha was so kind, gentle and caring with my Noelle, I could not have asked for a better “babysitter”! I am so grateful to have met her and look forward to working with her again!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 10, and it’s something that has always come naturally to me. Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me for years to walk, feed, bathe, and look after their pets, and I love being that reliable person they can count on. Each pet has their own personality, and I really enjoy figuring out what makes them feel happy and comfortable — whether it’s a puppy who needs extra playtime or a senior dog who just wants calm companionship. Alongside my pet care experience, I’m CPR-certified for animals and also work as an EMT (for humans, though!), which has given me strong skills in responsibility, patience, and staying calm in any situation. I bring that same level of care and attentiveness to every pet I look after, making sure they feel safe, loved, and part of the family while their people are away. I work part-time as an EMT and full days as a medical assistant on Mondays and Tuesdays (and some weekends), which leaves me with a flexible schedule the rest of the week. Spending time with pets is honestly a perfect balance to my medical work — it feels like a little getaway, and I’ve really missed being around animals. Caring for pets lets me combine something I love with helping out families who need reliable support. I believe pets are happiest in their own familiar space, so I prefer to care for them in their home where they feel most comfortable. I follow each family’s routines closely — walks, meals, medication, and beyond to make sure pets feel safe and secure. With my healthcare background and pet CPR certification, I bring an extra level of attentiveness and responsibility. My goal is to make your pets feel loved and cared for, while giving you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands!

About: I have been taking care of pets since I was a teenager, having family pets growing up and also including watching neighbors’ dogs as well as friends and family members pets over the years. Animals have always warmed up to me immediately, even when described as shy or unfriendly. I work full time but my position has me mobile and traveling to different locations around Long Island throughout the day. This allows me to make stops during the midday for walks. I will also be able to pet sit over night and weekends. I care for all pets as if they were my own. Beyond providing walks and feeding your pet they will also receive attention and affection as well. Along with the utmost care to be aware of drivers and other dogs during walks and to secure any property during overnight visits.

I love dogs, all dogs and for some reason, I have yet to meet a dog who doesn't like me. I will always treat your dog like my own. At this time in my life.. I want to Love everyone else's dogs. I am retired and home almost all days, and if I am not home and watching someone's dog, I would more than likely take them with me. I enjoy going to dog park with my Nephew Dogs and basically just love hanging out with dogs. I live in an apartment and have no pets. I would make all dogs feel comfortable and I allow Pets on furniture and have toys and treats always in the house. I would take them for walks and dog park. Just talking about it, makes me happy.

“Rachel was amazing! My dog was happy and well cared for, and I came home to a clean, organized house. It’s such a relief to know my pup is in such good hands—can’t wait to book her again 😊”

About: Whether it's caring for my hyper-active Golden Retriever, my attitude-giving Tabby Cat, or my reoccurring client's King Charles' Spaniel and English Setters, I'm more than equipped to handle any size dog or cat. I'm used to staying at the pet's home, but willing to be flexible and stop by whenever needed. Fun Facts: Used to caring for horses, barn cats, goats, rabbits, and fish. Taking care of my pets is a huge part of my schedule as I find it's the best way to keep them happy and healthy. Daily walks, even weekly park visits, and lots of cuddles and scratches are all simple ways to keep my kids content and healthy. I make sure my pets are in their respective areas before leaving my home; this ensures that they are in a safe place and have access to any food or water they need. Care varies depending on client's wants/pet's needs, but I am willing to handle a crated pet or free-roaming (as long as they are well adjusted and don't mind strangers).

About: I’ve always loved dogs and cats since I was young. Although I’m mildly allergic to furs and therefore do not have pets of my own, I absolutely want to spend more time with others’ pets! I currently work remote at home. I have a rather flexible schedule to walk/care for pets on a daily basis, during the workday and potentially the weekends. I offer pet care for both dogs and cats and maybe other small mammals as well. I do not bring pets back to my home but am more than willing to spend time at the owner’s place based on needs.

“Madeleine is wonderful in many ways. Patient, loving and caring to my dog and cats. She is reliable, sensible, a problem solver and truly willing and able to help out above and beyond. Madeline animal sat over night for my dog and cats. My car broke down and my return time was greatly delayed. Madeleine was very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure my animals were fins=e as well as making sure I did not stress out. I am grateful to have connected with her and will use her always! Highly recommended.”

“My first time using Rover and I’m glad I found Liz because she was Amazing with my puppies, was beyond my expectations, She follows my instructions and sometimes when I forgot something she asked, I definitely hope to book with her again.”

About: Hello there! I, like many college kids, had a tough time during covid. Luckily, my roommate brought his perfect little puppy to school! He was training to be a CCI dog and honestly kept me sane. We would go on hikes, walks to the park, and say hello to anyone passing by. He became a bit of a local figure by the time he was turned in, well known for being such a sweet boy. I miss him every day and would love to go on adventures with puppies (of all ages) again!! I am unemployed as of right now. I will have all the time in the world to take your dog wherever they want and bring them back very happy and sleepy. I currently live directly inside a park (Wawapek preserve) and will be able to run them all around there. I love to jog so if a pup is feeling extra crazy we can run together! I am not comfortable with off leash dogs so we will remain on leash unless inside an obviously fenced in area. I also want to avoid dog parks with more than one or two other dogs present, as to mitigate any risk of problems happening. I will abide by any rules (crates, no sitting on furniture, etc) that the owner sets other than shock or prong collars. I haven't been taught how to handle dogs with those types so I don't think that would be the best fit. Besides that, I'll run that pup all around!

About: I am an incoming second year veterinary student at LIU post with a passion for providing high quality, reliable care to all animals! I have extensive experience working in veterinary clinics as well as pet sitting since I was in high school, so I am comfortable providing medical care to your pets. I understand how important it is finding appropriate pet sitter that accommodates all your needs, as I have two cats at home myself and it takes a lot of time finding the perfect person! I am also currently working in a veterinary clinic on top of being a veterinary student, so I’m constantly improving my education and experience with pet health. Every pet is unique, and I am more than happy to go above and beyond to provide the care your pets deserve! There is no such thing as asking for “too much”, I will provide as many updates as you need throughout the day, respond to your messages right away, and facetime/video chat if you’d like live updates. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me for any requests, I want to make your experience top notch using me as your rover sitter! My schedule is open and flexible to provide rover services every week. I am fully dedicated to house-sitting and caring for your pets while studying in veterinary school as I am working towards becoming a veterinarian. As an owner of 2 cats, it's very important for me to provide daily enrichment and quality to my babies no matter how busy I am, and same applies to the pets I'm house-sitting for! I am dedicated to providing quality and reliable care and will communicate with you on how I can be the best caregiver. I will be providing all my services by coming to your home so I plan on doing an initial meet and greet with you, any family members, and your pet(s) of course so we can make sure everyone is comfortable! I will communicate with you often while caring for your pet(s) and acknowledge any special requests you have for me as well! There's no such thing as asking for too much when pet sitting for your animals- they are your priority and I will be flexible to make sure I am the best caretaker for your pets!

Justin R.
“There is no there person that I can trust with my pet. I am very picky about walkers after what happened to Lady Gaga. Justin is kind, loving and so caring. When my elderly dog got sick and walks took even longer than usual due to her moving slowly Justin took his time and never rushed and ensured that my baby enjoyed her walks to the fullest. He is very observant and noticed when my dog was acting unusual which prompted me to take her to the vet in the first place. If you want someone you can depend on to care for your pet as if it is his own please choose Justin as your dog walker. I can’t rave about him enough.”

Her love for animals shines through in every interaction, and it’s clear she is both responsible and trustworthy in the way she cares for them.”

Tori T.

“I have relied on Tori many times to watch over my dachshund while I am away. She always gives him the company and love he desires and keeps a close eye on him. She is very loving with pets and is pursuing Vet school to continue her passion with pets. I would 100% recommend her to be the one you trust with your loved pet(s).”
Oyster Bay Cove pet parents share their Rover experiences
Taylor did such an amazing job with our two pups over a multiple day/night house sitting. She was extremely communicative, organized and showed such love and care for the dogs. They are pretty active dogs and she was totally game for long walks, play, etc. She also took great care of the house and left it in better shape than she found it. Can’t say enough good things and I think our doggos miss her already.
