10. Courtney W.
About: I've had and cared for animals my entire life, mostly dogs as well as cats. From Shih tzus to Great Danes, puppies/kittens to senior pets- I'm comfortable with breeds of all shapes, sizes, and all life stages. Pets are family, and as a mother of 2 (humans :)) also, I understand the importance of being responsible for others' well-being. I would love to be there for your fur babies! Currently I'm working from home part time with a flexible schedule. I can be available during the day as well as evenings and weekends, depending on the day/week. Unfortunately I'm not able to offer overnight stays at this time. I am happy to walk/let out, play, feed, pet, and just show some love to your beloved pet(s). As someone who has dealt with sick pets, I'm comfortable administering medications, including ones that might require injections.

11. Sonia V.
About: I love nature and pets love it even more! Walking trails could be so therapeutic for them and I am a willing participant in the activity! I understand the love you have for your pet and it's an honor to be trusted to care for them! I am available during the day to look after your pet! We can have fun or relax while you work comfortably without a worry ! I love taking pictures!! So I'll be sure to share your pets day with you. Caring for them in their own home would probably make them more confident and comfortable. I can dog sit at your house or take them on a stroll.

12. Jackie M.
“Jackie was an amazing pet sitter numerous times for us! We had two cats, one older and one younger, with the older requiring a lot of detailed care. Jackie always made sure to follow our information, and took amazing care of our older cat. She would provide her with a lot of attention to make sure she ate properly when we were gone, and stayed with both cats anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes to give them company. She would visit twice a day as well, and sent pictures every day to show us how they were doing. The only reason we stopped using her services was because we moved. Basically- my husband and I cannot sing Jackie's praises enough!”

15. Erica P.
About: I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages as well as varying levels of health. I do not have experience with special needs dogs or with giving dogs injections but I do have experience with dogs who are fresh out of surgery and with giving dogs oral medication. I have experience giving cats a variety of medications in liquid and pill form. I am comfortable and experienced with potty training puppies and general obedience (commands) training with dogs of all ages, though I am not a certified trainer. I also have experience with different breeds of dogs which may require different foods or brushing needs. I have worked with blind and deaf dogs before as well. I am also able to pet sit other animals (i have experience with small mammal, reptile, fish, and birds). I am working a regular 9-5 Monday through Friday. If you are close to downtown Durham I can visit a pet on my lunch break. I am also able to come by before or after work and on the weekends. I am not currently accepting stays at my house due to a high anxiety cat who can be easily stressed out by new animals and people

16. Kelsey M.
“Kelsey is a sweet and caring soul with a passion for high quality animal care. In 2021, my family and I were introduced to Kelsey. On several occasions she has cared for my crew (A large breed puppy, a mature large breed dog, and a less than year old cat). We found Kelsey to be loyal and trustworthy. She went above and beyond to make sure my pets felt comfortable and safe. She communicated daily and included sweet little extras, such as photos and videos. If there was a question (abnormal behavior, not eating, etc.) she would reach out immediately. As a foster, Kelsey was patient and understanding. She developed rescues into family companions. Kelsey’s dedication to the importance of animal companionship continues as a volunteer at a horse therapy clinic. She has a talent with animals from dogs to horses.”

17. Rhiannon H.
“Rhiannon has cared for my German Shepherds several times while I was away on business. She treated them like her own dogs. My female was expecting and went into labor. Rhiannon sprang into action and helped my dog deliver her pups! She is also exceptional at organizing their grooming and vet appointments for me, as I have a very busy schedule. I would highly recommend her services. She is very professional and dependable.”

18. Claire W.
About: I have cared for my own personal pets as well as friend’s and family’s pets. I have enjoyed every minute of it. I walk, groom, feed, and bathe when needed. I am a graduate student at NCCU in Durham so I don’t have time for a full time position but Rover allows me to have the flexibility to do pet sitting when possible. Weekends are my most available time and I will also have time in between my clinicals and my classes that I can do walks or drop in visits! I have always been an animal lover, I have grown up in a household that has always had multiple pets at a time. My pets get my full attention and affection at al times when I am home! They bring me so much joy and I would love some more fur babies to love on with all of the responsibility of caring for the 24/7!

19. Lisa P.
“Lisa is phenomenal. My cat loves her and she goes above and beyond. I am so relieved that she is looking after her when I am away. I get videos etc. Lisa has become like family to us. She also truly loves animals so it’s not a job for her. Rest assured your pets will be looked after better than ever.”
