About: I have raised many different types of dogs for 15+ years. For the last 5 years, I have housed many different animals in need. I have trained puppies, as well as nervous, and abused dogs. I make sure my home is a very welcome environment for animals of all kinds. Like my husband likes to say, I want a petting zoo in life. I currently work part-time in a pawn shop and full time mom to an adorable little toddler. We love being able to be around and care for animals as much as we can. I go on holidays maybe once or twice a year so I’m always around willing to help train or even just be a companion to your furry friend while you’re away I have an open yard with plenty of space to run around. I also have crates within the house just in case they need to be crated too. I have 3 adult dogs that roam free and are very friendly, as well as 3 puppies, and a 2 cats inside my house as well too. But it’s very rare my cats will come out during the day if I’m housing a dog inside.

About: Hi! I love all animals and pets. I grew up with guinea pigs, hamsters, and gerbils at home and have pet sat for cats and dogs since I was a kid. Since 2020, my family has been involved in a service dog organization. We have fostered and helped train and care for numerous puppies and adult dogs. In addition to puppy training, I also have experience with reactive dogs and giving pills. I'm comfortable with various energy levels and temperaments. I can follow specific routines, reinforce training, and provide both physical activity and mental stimulation to keep your dog happy and healthy. I am currently enjoying summer break and working part time, so I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. Cuddling with pets or getting outside for a walk would be easy and great additions to my day! I cannot board pets due to roommate allergies, but I am happy to care for your pet in your home. I am currently on summer break so my schedule has a lot of flexibility, including during the week and over weekends. I will strive to build trust with you and with your pet, and will communicate thoroughly and diligently. Doing a meet and greet and covering and special needs and preference will help me care for your pet the way that you need! I will exercise your pet or cuddle with them. I will walk your dog in your neighborhood, take them to a trail or to a park, play with them using their favorite toys, and help with training. The most important thing for me is that you and your pet are both happy and comfortable!

About: I first started housesitting and pet sitting with the Rover app in 2020. I am comfortable and confident working with all sizes of dogs due to the wide variety of pets I cared for in Florida as well as Nebraska! A few of the services I provided were, dog walking, light dog grooming, basic gardening and housekeeping tasks. In one special case I cared for a miniature schnauzer with diabetes, I made sure his blood sugar was regular and gave him his insulin shot when needed. Like multiple other animals I’ve cared for I can follow their special diets if needed.. I’d love the opportunity to take of your pets and see what your city has to offer. I look forward to hearing from you! I work from home, so I will have lots of extra time to play with your pets! I also plan on taking multiple walks throughout the day. I will be sure to maintain a safe environment for your pets while you are away! I will stick to their regular routines to help them feel safe and comfortable.

About: I have hands-on experience caring for dogs and other animals through walks, drop-in visits, overnight stays, feeding, medication, and lots of one-on-one attention. I’m comfortable following each pet’s normal routine and making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their family is away. I also make communication a priority and provide thoughtful updates and photos so pet parents can feel at ease. I’m patient with different personalities and energy levels, whether your pet loves long walks and playtime or would rather curl up and relax. I treat every pet like they’re my own and take their care, safety, and happiness seriously. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I make sure every booking gets the time and attention it deserves. I plan my schedule carefully so I’m never rushing through visits, walks, feeding, playtime, or cuddles. I also do my best to stay flexible when pet parents need a little extra help. Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. When I’m caring for pets in their own home, I follow their usual routine as closely as possible and pay attention to the little things, like their behavior, eating, water, bathroom habits, and overall mood. I keep doors, gates, leashes, and surroundings secure, follow all care instructions carefully, and send updates so you always know how your pet is doing.

About: Over the years I've had experience with all stages and ages of pets, especially dogs, but also including horses, chickens, fish, guinea pigs, bunnies, cats etc. I've raised and cared for my own pets from puppies to elder dogs, special needs to the most energetic (or anxious). I've taken in some willful and anxious fur babies that have thrived and became amazing loyal, obedient and loving companions. I have also been blessed with 4 amazing grown kiddos that have pets of their own and I get to care for them often and its the best!! Most of my/my families pets have been rescues but we've also had/have several pure bred Animals (Long-haired German Shepherd, Newfoundland, Maltese, Blue Pittie). I like to make sure the fur babies get lots of love and exercise, but its also okay if your pet is a bit more stand-offish. I truly appreciate when pet parents leave information about routine, pets personality and preferences and will follow instructions meticulously. Special needs, medications, puppy care, etc are also welcome (of course!!). Feel free to ask any questions...look forward to chatting and meeting you/your fur babies. I am an empty-nested Mom and Mimi with my kids' families being spread around CO, NC, TN, GA, STX so I travel to see kids/grandkids/family...a lot...and I love it. This gives me the flexibility to do house sitting/pet care around those visits (in some cases, I've done sits near my kids as well and check both boxes, pet care and visits with the fam). I'm looking to pet/house sit almost full-time around family visits. I'm also VERY open to traveling to pet sits outside my home base area, overseas as well. I lost my little Maltese "Smiles" a few years ago and have poured my snuggles into my kid's 6 dogs. With my travel schedule its hasn't felt like the right time to add a new pet to my personal life so getting to love on my families' pets and those that I sit for really helps fill that void. I only care for pets in your/their home. I am primarily looking for overnight sits, but will also be available for walks and drop-in care.

FAQs for Dog Walking - Stovall

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Stovall. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include a map of the walking route , the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poop breaks recorded by the walker.

The route map lets you review where your dog was walked in Stovall after the booking. It is not live GPS tracking.

Have specific details you would like included? Message your dog walker in the app before the walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .

walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
