“Meredith was great! She met them a couple of times before we left, which really helped our older dog with anxiety. She connected so well with the pups. She kept us informed with pictures and videos, so we knew our pups were in good hands. She treated our home with care, too, which was appreciated. We would happily book with Meredith again!”

“A+++ Harley was knowledgeable and mature, caring and trustworthy! We could not have found anyone more qualified to pet/house sit for us. There was not one moment of concern while we were away as to whether or not our pets were in good hands. She communicated every day with photos and messages showing how happy they were. We couldn't be more grateful for her service, her time and her attention shown in loving our dogs as if they were her own.”
“Mardi did an incredible job taking care of our cats and home while we were away for a week! She followed our instructions perfectly, sent regular updates and photos, and left our house in even better condition than when she arrived. I’m usually a little anxious about leaving the cats when we travel, but I was able to relax and enjoy our trip knowing everything was safe in her hands. I will absolutely book her again the next time we need a cat sitter!”

“Shannon was amazing!! She took such great care of Rocket while we were away, it made the trip so much more enjoyable knowing he was in such great hands. I would definitely recommend her!”

About: Let me provide your dog with a home away from home :) — I treat every pup like my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether that means long walks, playtime, or just some snuggles, I try to match their personality and needs. I’ve cared for dogs of all kinds — from high to low energy. I’m big on routines, communication, and making sure pet parents never feel out of the loop. You’ll always get updates and pictures so you can see how your pup’s doing. My goal is simple: for you to feel completely at ease knowing your dog is happy, cared for, and in good hands. I work from home, so I have plenty of flexibility to care for your pup throughout the day. I can do multiple walks a day, stick to your preferred schedule, and give your dog lots of attention and playtime. I live in a very walk-friendly neighborhood with a large dog park, which is perfect for getting in some fresh air and exercise! I only board potty-trained dogs to keep things clean and comfortable for everyone. I do have a medium-sized crate available if you prefer your dog to have their own space at night instead of free roaming. My main priority is keeping your pet safe, happy, and relaxed while you’re away. I make sure they get the care, love, and attention they need in a calm and comfortable environment.
“Destiny was AMAZING! Our dog was on a lot of medicine and she handled all of it so well and gave us updates throughout the day for 4 days straight. She was very communicative and sent lots of pics and was so sweet to our girl. She took care of the house really well and we will definitely use destiny again!”

About: Hi! I’m Anjanay, and I’d love to help care for your pets when you’re away. I have over 10 years of experience caring for animals and truly enjoy building trust with both pets and their owners. I focus on keeping pets on their normal routine, so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re gone. I’m attentive, patient, and treat every pet as if they were my own. Your pet’s safety and well-being are always my top priority. I’m happy to provide regular photo and message updates, and I’m always reachable if you need to check in or have questions. I carefully follow all care instructions, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any special needs. As long as I’m given enough notice, I’m flexible and able to accommodate most requests. Short visits usually require about a day’s notice, while extended stays need a bit more planning so I can give your pet the best care possible. Every pet and household is unique, and I respect that. Please let me know anything important about your pet’s routine, preferences, or behavior so I can make their time with me as smooth and stress-free as possible. I look forward to meeting you and your pet! Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I plan my schedule around my bookings so pets receive consistent attention, care, and companionship. I make sure feeding times, walks, playtime, and check-ins are done on schedule and never rushed. As long as I’m given reasonable notice, I’m able to accommodate most requests. Short visits usually need about a day’s notice, while extended stays require more planning so I can fully dedicate my time to your pet. I provide care exclusively in my clients’ homes so both cats and dogs can remain in their familiar environment and stay on their normal routine. I follow each owner’s care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, litter box or yard cleanup, and medications if needed. I give pets attentive care, companionship, and supervision during each visit, and I pay close attention to their comfort, behavior, and energy levels. I’m comfortable caring for senior pets and pets who may be anxious or shy, and I adjust my approach to meet their individual needs. Safety is very important to me, and I appreciate detailed care instructions so I can provide the best possible care. I also provide regular photo and message updates so you can feel confident your pet is safe and well cared for while you’re away.

About: I’ve had/been around many different types of dogs my entire life. My family would always want me to come over and train/watch theirs animals for them like I was the go to person for anybody who got a new pet. I also use to volunteer at a boarding company to help feed/walk the dogs. I currently do doordash so I can pretty much fit any request in to my schedule. The most amount of time I would be away would probably be around 5-6 hours. I’m a dependable and caring pet sitter who treats every pet like my own. I know how important routines are, so I make sure pets are fed on time, get plenty of attention, and feel comfortable and safe while their owners are away. I’m patient, responsible, and good at picking up on what each pet needs, whether that’s playtime, walks, or just some extra cuddles. I also like to keep owners updated so they can relax knowing their pet is happy and well taken care of.
“We recently moved to the Raleigh area and were so lucky to find Caroline & Gavin on Rover and available for the weekend we needed care for our 2 dogs. We needed to be out of town for the weekend for our daughter’s wedding. Caroline & Gavin gave us numerous updates over the weekend and sent pictures. We felt so comfortable having them in our home caring for our dogs. We were able to relax and really enjoy the wedding without worry. One of our dogs is very nervous and unsure around new people. Caroline & Gavin were so calm and patient with her. They left our house in perfect condition too! We will definitely use them again!”

“Super responsive, matched my pups energy and made him comfy and somehow left my home looking more warm and welcoming than when we left. She was an incredible sitter, 100% would recommend for any pet owner. You don’t have to be worried if she is with them and you get amazing videos and pics of your fur baby :)”

“Ashley has been a wonderful caretaker for our puppy Linus! We are so grateful for her. Linus has separation anxiety and orthopedic problems and we felt 100% safe leaving him with Ashley. She is so attentive to his needs and clearly listened carefully and used the strategies we have found for keeping him calm as well as using her own (she honestly calms him down better than we do!). She was willing to go the extra mile and stay with him the whole time we were away (taking him with her when she needed to go out, as we had discussed) because he can't be left alone right now. She managed his meds and put on his orthopedic gear without issue. She was flexible when our travel plans unexpectedly changed and we got home very late at night. And the house was way cleaner than we left it when we returned! We will definitely be reaching out to her again--could not ask for a better experience!”

I will treat all pets as if they are my own and will make sure all their needs are met. I am in the process of obtaining dog sitting certificates and CPR certification so that I will be fully equipped. I look forward to working with you and your pet(s).

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Stovall on Rover is $53.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Stovall walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Stovall maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Stovall choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
