“First off, Roxi has not been feeling well, so I was apprehensive about leaving her even for a day, but Leahrae’s kind and understanding nature immediately put me at ease. Roxi instantly bonded with Leahrae, which made me feel comfortable about leaving, as I knew she would be well cared for while I was away. Leahrae administered Roxi’s seizure medication and special food while giving her the special attention she requires. Upon picking Roxi up, she was relaxed and happy and it was clearly evident that she bonded with Leahrae and her pups. Thank you so much Leahrae!”
“Rachel was absolutely amazing! Not only did she let us extend our stay last minute due to having someone pass away in the family, she took the most amazing care of my babies! I have a 1.5 year old and a 15 week old! They are a handful! She was nothing but kind, caring, and compassionate while taking care of them! My dogs absolutely loved spending time with her dogs and their farm animals! Could not recommend her enough! Will 1,00000% use her again in the future!”

“This is our 3rd time using Lauren and she is still great. We were returning home later than expected and I reached out to ask if she could keep Grizz another day and she was like “absolutely”. We are truly grateful that we were able to find someone as kind and caring as she is. She always takes great care of Grizz!’”

“Amy is the absolute sweetest! She provided such great care and provided updates/pictures. She even gave our dog a bath because he had such a great time helping with farm chores. Amy even let him sleep in bed with one of her children, just like he’s used to at home. Couldn't have asked for better care - we will definitely book with Amy the next time we’re in need!”

“Kelsea took such great care of my dog, Freddo, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the start, she was friendly, communicative, and really made me feel at ease leaving him in her hands. She kept me updated with messages and photos, which meant a lot and showed how attentive she was. Freddo came back happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. It’s obvious Kelsea genuinely loves animals and treats them like her own. I really appreciated her reliability and the extra effort she put into making sure everything went smoothly. I’d absolutely recommend Kelsea to anyone looking for a trustworthy and kind dog sitter, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again.”

About: When I was in high school, I used to volunteer at an animal shelter, which sparked my love for animals. While I mainly worked with cats and dogs I don’t have a preference. I’m work from home 2 1/2 weeks a month. It can get a little boring, so I wanted some companionship. That is usually when I’ll be doing Rover. Working from home allows me to pay a lot of attention to whatever furry friend I have. I also enjoy long walks outside so I would spend a lot of time outdoors.
“Julie and Caleb took such good care of Pippa, and we’re such sweet people! They were very attentive to any needs, and kept me updated throughout. Pip had a blast at their house!”

“Mary took great care of Rue!! This was Rue’s first time being dog sat and Mary was able to make her feel comfortable and happy! Very thankful for her letting me book late notice and helping my anxious pup have a good stay!”

“Luna did great! She had 3 other dogs to play with over the weekend and came home tired, which was a good thing. We seldom travel without Luna, but will definitely contact Erin again to takecare of her if we do.”

“Crystal & Lyle are amazing! They are super sweet people who made Violet a part of the family while she was there. They very clearly have a lot of love for the pets they take care of. I received lots of pictures and updates throughout her stay and they were very flexible with the pickup times when the storm shifted my plans a bit. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a loving place for your pup. Thanks Crystal & Lyle!”

“Katherine was fantastic!! I highly recommend and we are planning to book with her again. She walked our dogs, was super patient with them, and sent lots of updates so we were at ease!! Such a great experience with her.”

“Sonia & Nate we're absolutely fantastic! They took great care of our boy! We were really nervous because it was our first time leaving him with anyone and we only adopted him about 6 months ago. Sonia sent pictures, regular updates, and took our concerns seriously. He seemed genuinely safe and happy with them! Also, their dog Mauve is super sweet and makes the perfect companion for dogs who are away from home. He seemed to have a great time playing and snuggling with her! While we were traveling, we were grateful that he was in good hands and we could just be present in the moment without worrying too much about him. If we ever need to travel without him again, we will definitely be using Sonia!”

“Rambo had a great time with Zachary! I was updated with plenty of pics and vids every day. He took great care of my little brother and kept up with all his meds. Would definitely use again!”

“This is our second time leaving our pup with Julie and I didn’t worry for a second! She is always super accommodating and diligent with Luna’s needs and schedule; whether it’s her feeding schedule, allergy meds, or the never-ending pets my doodle will paw you to death for 😂 All of this was confirmed when she set me a picture of Luna, not in her crate where she goes in new places to feel safe, but curled up by Julie’s feet. I wouldn’t leave my dog with just anyone but I’d book Julie again in a heartbeat. 10/10”

“This was the second time we used Marta to watch our pup and she is amazing!! Our puppy was super happy to see her again and sad to leave her house. We will 100% rebook with Marta! Couldn’t recommend enough :)”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OK ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
