“Emily & Eric took great care of our pups while we were visiting from out of town for a family Christmas party. We appreciate them being so accommodating with the festivities ending a little later than expected. Our fur babies were obviously very comfortable in their home because they are so calm in their crates in the car at the moment. We will definitely leave our girls with Emily and Eric again when we are back in Vancouver!”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Jared is exceptional. Jared took wonderful care of my two dogs, Sebastian and Francesca, and I couldn’t be more grateful. From the moment we connected, his communication was clear, thoughtful, and reassuring. He was attentive to their needs, patient, and genuinely kind, exactly the kind of person you hope to find when trusting someone with your fur babies. Sebastian and Francesca were happy, calm, and clearly well cared for when I picked them up, which speaks volumes. It’s obvious Jared takes his role seriously and treats animals with real respect and care, not just as a job but as a responsibility. I would absolutely trust him again without hesitation and highly recommend him to anyone looking for reliable, compassionate, top-tier pet care. Thank you, Jared🌹you truly went above and beyond.”

“Dominique was great! Our dog Kona stayed with her for doggie daycare. She was very communicative leading up the visit and was super flexible when we had some schedule changes a few weeks before the booking. She also sent us a ton of adorable photos. Would definitely recommend Dominique!”

About: I am a nurse, but I have always wanted to work with dogs, and I see this Pet Care opportunity as a chance to fulfill my childhood dream. I'm thrilled with this pet care opportunity because of my deep love for animals. I believe my nursing experience will be valuable, as caring for patients has taught me compassion and attention to detail, which I hope to bring to the pets in your care. I would love to contribute to your team and learn from your experiences in pet care. Thank you for considering me, and I look forward to connecting and sharing our mutual enthusiasm for animals. I am happy to adjust my schedule if needed to help out, so please feel free to reach out with any questions or to discuss specific times. Looking forward to your response. I understand how important your pet is to you, and I am committed to providing attentive, loving care that ensures their safety, comfort, and happiness at all times. Your pet's well-being is my top priority, and I strive to engage with animals in ways that help them feel secure and appreciated, including maintaining familiar routines. My home features a spacious, fenced yard where we enjoy daily walks and playing fetch. I have experience caring for my own pet, Macy and in my childhood other animals such as parrots, fishes, and even a monkey. One of my favorite moments with dogs is play fetch—seeing their excitement always reminds me just how rewarding caring for animals can be. I take my responsibilities seriously and am always eager to learn more about each pet’s unique personality and age. To help maintain a safe environment, I kindly ask that your dog be protected with Simparica or a similar product recommended by your preferred veterinarian, such as Frontier, which guards against ticks and fleas Please let me know if you have any specific concerns, preferences, or special requests. I am open to feedback and happy to adapt to your pet's unique needs and routines. I am available for a meeting any day this week to discuss your loved one’s requirements, and after our meeting I will tailor my care to your pet’s needs. Thank you again for entrusting me with this important responsibility. I look forward to meeting you and your pet, and to providing compassionate care that brings you peace of mind.
“Tricia is such an amazing human! She was so patient and great with my quirky, anxious senior Shiba and even sang to him to calm him down. He was so relaxed in her home which helped us all greatly as we were nervous to introduce a new environment. Tricia is part of the pack now and we can't wait to re-book with her!”
“Haleigh has sat Rocky on a few occasions now when I've been in town for work and can't take him into the office. Appreciate her responsiveness and I know my pup is in trusted hands!”

“Absolutely amazing was the first time I've ever left my pup with someone besides family and boy did he love his new friend Alexa! She is super sweet and amazing with my pups! She will definitely be the one I reach out to for further pup day care without a doubt! Thanks again”

“Jenny was great! She was able to accept a very last minute request for doggie daycare. My pups came home last night and they are still snoozy today. I will definitely use Jenny again! :)”
About: I love animals! I believe pets aren't just animals—they’re family. My approach is simple: I provide the same love, respect, and deep compassion for your furry friends that I give my own. Whether it’s the high-energy needs of a growing puppy or the gentle, patient care required for a senior dog, your pet will be treated like a guest of honor in my home. 💖 Pet/house sitting is my main line of work and I have 3 small children and small dog to also care for, so I have an open schedule where I can be attentive to your pets needs. I have a small dog of my own that can be a buddy to our furry guests. I’m very accommodating to each dog’s schedule and needs.
“Upon initial meet and greet, Margaret was very organized and caring making sure to understand all of Romans needs, allergies, and activity levels. He ran a ton to get his energy out so knocked out right when we got home. Margaret creates a great space for daycare for small to mid-sized doggos.”

“Brittany was amazing with our pups. She was incredibly responsive and kept us updated throughout the day. This will be our go to spot for dog care in the future.”

About: I have taken care of dogs, horses, and other farm animals since I was 7 years old. I grew up in a family with four big dogs and spent a lot of time training them in agility, helping at equestrian centers and other farms where I encountered and worked with all different kinds of working dogs, and spent years studying dog training, grooming, and handling. I currently have a highly reactive Pyrenees/German Shepherd who has allowed me to find a new passion in more deeply figuring out how different kinds of animals' minds work and learn to cater to their varying needs and learning styles, a mini Aussie who I am now working with in the beginning stages of agility training and having fun learning all sorts of different types of obedience and tricks with, and an Aussie/Pyr newly 1 year old who is already my best mountain biking buddy and has had a very strong start with agility training. I have also raised a litter of 10 puppies, so I am experienced and comfortable with dogs of any age. Their worlds are only as big as we make them, and they deserve all the love and experiences they can get! I work remotely, so my schedule is fully flexible most days. I have to schedule meet & greets and start/end times around my meeting schedule daily, but once I am there can cater to whatever you dog’s daily schedule need is I will follow any directions you leave me, from crating, feeding, and play/cuddle time instructions if I am sitting, or whatever sort of walking specifications or request you have to best to cater to you dog if I am only taking him/her on walks.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs for 10+ years and have a dog of my own that i love. Friends and family have relied on me to take care of their beloved pets and have always been satisfied with the care I give. I'm currently at home full time, so I can take care of your pet anytime during the week. Mornings & afternoons are preferred for walks but will do sitting after dark! I take dogs for walks at least twice a day, provide food, water, treats, toys, and cuddles if the dog is cuddly. My dog loves to play with other dogs as well.
“Maryorie was friendly and great with communication. It was my first rover experience and it was nice to get a picture update after drop off and report about how he did at the end of the day. I appreciate how she did a meet and greet before hand to ensure my dog and her dogs would get along and so that we could get to know her. Looking forward to booking with her again!”

I have used Madalyn's services on several occasions, and I feel very comfortable in leaving my little guy in her care... She is the first person I think of when searching for a day care provider for Rocky. Rocky is very skeptical if EVERYONE, but he always goes to Madalyn willingly and settles right in quickly, which I was very worried about. I will continue using Madalyn as Rocky's provider as often as possible when we need care. Thank you Madalyn

This was our pup’s second time at Jennifer’s and he was again totally happy when we picked him up, he also slept all the way home (almost 2 hours) so I know he played and played, and enjoyed himself! I definitely will book with Jennifer again and highly recommend her!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Orchards commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
