Sitters are independent contractors liable for our own insurance. This is our only job. We are professionals gained from years of experience taking guests into our home independently & via Rover (Originally called Dog Vacay) since 2015. We are a mature married couple working from our apartment in Palms. We have a 7 lb chihuahua rescue named Taco, friendly to all. All dogs have human and K9 companionship continuously. We maintain a calm, low-energy household. We have had dogs in our lives all our lives. Caring for dogs makes us better people. Patience learned in loving animals makes us happy. :) Dogs are pack animals. Walking as a pack over time brings harmony. When a new guest arrives, we first go for a walk 1 on 1. This begins our bond and helps release angst your pup may be feeling. The pack walk is instinct dogs are born with. Migrating is ancient wisdom exercised in the walk, mental & physical. We walk our pack 4x daily for exercise & potty possibilities. We dial back walks for any that require less activity. We have hosted many seniors and special needs. We adjust accordingly. We do not have free range outdoor spaces for dogs to roam off leash. Walks are peaceful and are within our immediate neighborhood. WE DO NOT VISIT DOG PARKS. If anything bad were to happen with a group of unfamiliar dogs off leash, we’d be devastated. So it’s leashed walks close to home. Our focus is to board only a few guests @ a time thereby optimizing attention to your pets needs. WE OFFER DAY CARE, a 12 hr time window (between 7am-9pm) WE OFFER BOARDING (overnight stays), a 24 hr time window. **We are not strict on drop off & pick up times, but Please Be Considerate to time frame of your pets stay. An extra hr ok, but beyond we must charge more according to time spent over the 12 & 24 hr time periods. Open HOURS 7am - 9pm **IMPORTANT NOTE - as Rover specifies a medium breed as 16 - 40 lbs, WE ACCEPT ONLY UP TO 25 lbs. We have been walking dogs in this same neighborhood since, and we’ve been taking guests into our home since 2015. We have seen LOTS! We live in a very dog friendly building of which the manager is a dear friend. We have been told on more than one occasion that guests have gone home a little easier to handle on leash. I attribute this to what I’ve observed over years, like a flock of birds or a school of fish, dogs instinctively want to follow. A pack leader shows the way. We have natural dispositions suitable for caring and leading dogs. Practicing and learning more always. I (Tim) have taken a lesson personally from Cesar Millan (see photo album). The elephant in the room, the Tattoo on my head. It is something unexplainable unless you believe in destiny. Firstly, it came to me in a dream. Second, upon completion of my head tattoo I met my wife. That was 2007. The tattoo has challenged me to be a better man. My face is a welcome sign. You are welcome to react as you will. My peace is understanding. We understand being away from our loved ones. We know it helps to show all is well with photos and videos. We enjoy updating.
