Pet care experience

No dog too big or too small!

I have taken care of dogs, horses, and other farm animals since I was 7 years old. I grew up in a family with four big dogs and spent a lot of time training them in agility, helping at equestrian centers and other farms where I encountered and worked with all different kinds of working dogs, and spent years studying dog training, grooming, and handling. I currently have a reactive lab/pyr/shepherd mix who has allowed me to find a new passion in more deeply figuring out how different kinds of animals' minds work and learn to cater to their varying needs and learning styles, and went through 2 years of professional training with him - this taught both of us a lot AND the progress he made has allowed me to start offering in-house boarding and daycare. He received his Trick Dog and Canine Good Citizen titles earlier this year. We also have a mini Aussie and an Aussie/Pyr who are both mountain bike dogs and trained to do agility. I have raised a litter of 10 puppies and had senior dogs with medical needs in the past, so I am experienced and comfortable with dogs of any age. Their worlds are only as big as we make them, and they deserve all the love and experiences they can get!

Jessica is a 10/10 dog sitter. We have 3 large dogs under 5 years old with varying personalities, which she was able to manage without a problem. She is active, responsive, and flexible. Loved getting the picture updates and her communication is great! Will definitely book for house/dog sitting needs in the future.

Schedule

I work remotely, so my schedule is fully flexible most days. I have to schedule meet & greets and start/end times around my meeting schedule daily, but once I am there can cater to whatever you dog’s daily schedule need is

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 3 dogs
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 2-4 hours

Safety, trust & environment

I will follow any directions you leave me, from crating, feeding, and play/cuddle time instructions if I am sitting, or whatever sort of walking specifications or request you have to best to cater to you dog if I am only taking him/her on walks. FOR BOARDING/DAYCARE: I am happy to meet humans and their dogs and show humans the house and yard, but dogs do not come into the house or meet my dogs prior to staying with me. I have a system of introducing them slowly and judge which of my dogs can play with of them based off of temperament and how the slow intro stages go. Any dogs with a history of dog aggression are welcome but will not be allowed to interact with my dogs. I am happy to answer more questions about this via messaging

Pets

A typical day

I will do whatever activities cater best to your pet! I am a very active person, so I am happy to do long walks or even hikes in the surrounding area. If your dog needs mental stimulation, I have a lot of knowledge in different tools and toys to be used there and would love to be able to implement them. On the flip side, if your dog is more of a lazy cuddler or just wants to sleep, I am happy to give the all the love and relaxing time they need.
