“Haley was exceptional. She is an A+ communicator who provided thorough updates and great pictures after every visit. She proactively asked what was necessary to keep our animals safe and gave each of them individualized care. It is clear she truly loved our pets, and they loved her in return. As a bonus, she kept a watchful eye on our house and left it well organized. Haley is a gem, and we will absolutely use her again. Thank you, Haley, for taking such wonderful care of our little ones!”

“Latasha looked after our kitty (Lazare) and house for a week in July. She was very professional and courteous. She took the time to write down instructions on our meet and greet. Lazare loved her! About: I am a responsible college student with over three years of hands-on pet care experience, and I am thrilled to care for your furry family members! I have a steady weekday class schedule from 10:00 AM to 3.00 PM, Monday through Friday. Outside of those hours, my schedule is completely open for early morning or late afternoon drop-ins, and I love spending my entire weekend hanging out with your pets. Adult dogs have no problem with my short 3-hour class window, making me a perfect fit for overnight house sitting. I manage my pet-sitting around my college course load. I am in class from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. For house sitting, I spend my evenings, nights, and mornings at your home. I will occasionally pop out for a few hours during the day to visit my own home for meals, showers, or personal errands, but your pet will always remain my main priority. On weekends, my schedule is wide open, allowing me to provide multiple flexible drop-in visits or consistent companionship throughout the day. I prioritize keeping your pets safe and your home secure. During drop-ins and house sittings, I operate strictly within your home environment, following your exact household guidelines, tracking precise feeding portions, and handling daily litter box or potty routines meticulously. Dogs are kept on a secure leash at all times when outdoors. I double-check all door locks, security alarms, and property gates before leaving, and I send clear photo updates and text check-ins after every single visit to give you complete peace of mind.

“Karen is a wonderful partner. I’ve booked her twice to take care of my cat Maggie. Her reliability, honesty and genera love for animals has made her a ‘favorite’ person of mine to contact for pet sitting.”
“I came home to a happy and healthy kitty!!!!!! Taylor was very easy to communicate with and it was so great to know my cat was being taken great care of while I was away!!!!!!”

About: Pet Care Experience I’ve been taking care of pets for over 15 years, including my own pets and pets belonging to friends and family. I’m comfortable with different types of dogs and cats, their personalities, routines, and individual needs. I’m dependable, patient, and easygoing, and I’ll make sure your pets get the attention, exercise, and care they need while you’re away. I treat every pet like they’re my own and want them to feel comfortable and safe. I'm currently working full time, I am available to sit weekends and nights. I can also do weekdays, I would stop by before work at 8:30am and come back after I get out at 4:30pm. I can also stay nights if that's preferred. Your pets safety and comfort always come first. I provide a calm, clean, and secure environment where they can relax and feel at home. I’m respectful of each pets personality and routine, and I take the time to earn their trust. You can feel confident knowing your pets are in dependable hands and getting the care and attention they deserve while you’re away.
“Suzanne went above and beyond for the week she watched my kitty. She’s a great communicator and made me feel very comfortable leaving my fur baby when I went home for the holidays. I’ll definitely use her again next time I’m out of town! Xox”

“Maddy did a great job with Fritz! I was so thankful that she kept coming back when we had an issue with a jammed lock on the first day and Fritz was obviously so happy to see her. Fritz’s new medications are a lot for him to get used to, so I’m so glad to have found someone who could give them to him.”

“This was my first time using a pet sitter and it couldn’t have gone any better. Danny and Jennifer were wonderful! They’re very communicative and let me know exactly what was going on with my older dog and sent lots of pictures. It really set my mind at ease knowing she was being so well cared for. 10/10 would highly recommend them.”

About: Hi, I'm Gracie! I do home remodeling & carpentry things for work, but my number one passion is in taking care of animals. I also travel pretty frequently and because of that, I’ve found this platform invaluable. So aside from wanting to meet and hang with your cute pets, I’d love to return the favor and help out fellow pet owners! Especially in those dire, last minute boarding/sitting situations. (been there 😅) Growing up, my family fostered retired racing greyhounds so I’m very comfortable around sensitive and unsure dogs. For several years I worked and lived on various animal farms- all of which had/bred livestock guardian dogs that I worked very closely with. I am experienced in senior care and administering medications (including injections) to all sorts of animals. I work for myself doing residential carpentry and remodeling, so my schedule is very flexible and I’m usually available for last minute bookings. I also never work very far from home. Your dog’s comfort and safety always come first. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and even the bed if that’s what they’re used to at home, and I have several dog beds set up around the house too. I also have a large crate available if your dog needs a quiet, secure space to settle into. I keep a close eye on dogs at all times, dog-proof the areas we’re in, and make sure fresh water is always available.
About: I have had pets all my life and my family made sure I was involved in the care and upkeep. I have handled different species and breeds with different disabilities, temperament, and backgrounds. Animals are one of my passions and so I’m more than happy to learn and experience more. I have a pretty open schedule, I simply ask to be notified of any changes a day in advance so that I can plan accordingly. I’m more than happy caring for your pet where they are most comfy, their own home! I can check and fill food and water (and litter boxes), take your little fluffy friend for walks, have playtime and get some exercise and enrichment in. Also, if needed, I can bathe them as well.
The median cost per visit for cat sitting in Olivette is $20
Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Olivette
Sarah took care of my two cats and two dogs, and I can confidently say she is by far one of the most responsible and reliable pet sitters I’ve had on this platform! From the very beginning, communication was great. We had a meet & greet beforehand, and her willingness to help and make sure she understood my pets’ needs was obvious from the start. Throughout my trip, she made sure all four of my pets were well taken care of. Every pet owner knows you can tell even from pictures whether your pets are happy and comfortable, and mine were clearly having the best time with Sarah! Beyond taking care of their basic needs, she made sure they were getting plenty of attention, affection, and playtime, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. This was my first time using Sarah’s services, and it definitely won’t be the last. I came home to happy, relaxed pets, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly, highly recommended!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Olivette. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
