“Lauren is a great person to drop in. She is friendly, easy going and reliable. She showed up on time for our 2 cats and left the home clean and smelling good. I would recommend her to anyone looking in the area and will be booking again soon!”

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was young—dogs/puppies and cats. Very patient with younger animals or with more energy that require more attention and/or more technical care. I have a flexible schedule that allows the ability to stop in throughout the day. Available most weekends, early evenings and flexible throughout the day. With extensive experience with petsitting I’m very skilled in sensing the time needed and patience to build trust and a comfortable space and presence for one’s pets.
About: I've been caring for both cats, dogs, small animals like bunnies and guinea pigs throughout my life! I'm more than happy to adjust to their individual needs, whether it's figuring out their training preferences, sticking to their feeding schedules, or administering any necessary medications. Your furry friends will be in great hands! I'm working full-time, with some flexibility to work from home. Every evening, my family and I love taking our dog for a nice walk. I’d love to chat about your furry friends and see how I can help! Caring for your fur babies means keeping them safe first. Good communication is important to make this happen. I take pride in communicating clearly and effectively.
“Jennifer went above and beyond when checking in on my Sadie. She stayed extra time when she didn’t have to and also made sure Sadie felt extra loved while we were out of town! 😊”

About: I have been taking care of pets for family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors for as long as I can remember. I am reliable, consistent and build relationships with the pets to keep them comfortable while you are away. My full-time job has summers off, so I have more open availability. Barring the 4 or 5-hour gaps in my day with my part-time job, I can give your pet the care they need/require. I have two medium-sized dogs and a geriatric cat (he is 26!). Caring for them brings me joy and purpose. I promise to carry over that same kindness and compassion that I have with my pets to your pets. I also understand what is necessary to take care of older pets, so if they need a little extra help, I am up for it.

About: I love dogs, I like to do what they want! We live in Anchorage so dogs close by are preferable. We would love to do dog walks or drop in visits. We get outside a lot and like to get off leash if it's a safe area and your dog won't take off. Otherwise retractable leashes are the way to go. We are responsible about picking up dog poop. We will show your dog a good time! We will customize our care for your dog, just let us know any details you need us to know. On walks we will keep them on a leash unless it’s a dog park or an off leash area and know that they will return to our command. Whatever schedule is required is fine. Must check the calendar before full schedule is decided. Just let us know what time the walk would need to be and it should be fine. We can do a dog walks as needed, and I may have my son‘s help out. We usually try to keep them on, always to be safe.

“Izabelle took great care of my cats, and also did a couple of things around the house that made coming home more pleasant. She let the cats, who can be a bit nervous around new people, take their time getting to know her and made clear progress with them every day. By all measures, they seemed to have a great week!”

“Eric did an exceptional job! It was clear that he went above and beyond giving our cat some quality love and playtime, was communicative, and was generous with cute photos. During our meet and greet, he was punctual, knowledgeable, friendly, and curious about our cat's habits. We would highly recommend him.”

About: For the past couple of years, I’ve been a trusted pet sitter for friends and neighbors in my community. My approach to pet care is a combination of gentle, playful, calm, and attentive. I can provide walks(exercise), feed your pet meals and clean up after them. I am currently a college student out of state. I am typically home in Alaska over winter break and the summertime. As of right now, I am unemployed. However, I plan to have a part-time job this summer. I have a fully fenced yard at my home where pets can safely play and stretch their legs, and I also have a reliable, pet-friendly vehicle for safe transportation.

“Maleah is very consistent, sweet, responsible, great communication and cares for my little elder chihuahua like her own! I would recommend her to anyone looking for a consistent reliable dog walker :)”

“Thank you Katy. I love how you got to know my animals. I would trust you to take care of my animals anytime. I did not worry because I knew my cats were well taken care of.”

About: Hello! My name is Elise! I’m from Alaska, I moved here in October. I grew up with many different animals. I’ve had many dogs, cats, as well as bunnies, horses and I’ve cared for birds. I love animals very much and I am very good at taking care of them. I’ve been pet sitting since I was about 14 but not really officially since I was 16. I’ve trained quite a few puppies and I’ve helped birth a lot of cats and dogs. I joined rover because I love animals and with just moving here I definitely wouldn’t mind a little side gig to help get me though the winter. Hope to hear from you! Thanks for reading! I can’t wait to meet you and your pets!
“Whitney has been an absolute blessing! I highly recommend her to watch your fur babies! She made everything stress free while we were on vacation because of her love & dedication for taking care of our animals. Also the explanations of each visit were so great we loved reading them. Not only did she take care of our animals she took care of our home! Best pet sitting experience we’ve ever had. Thank you so much again! ❤️”

About: I'm a life-long dog lover and owner. I've had a pup for as long as I can remember until I unfortunately had to put my own English Bulldog down in 2015. The right pup just hasn't come across my path yet to replace her. Growing up we owned a variety of dogs (a blind cocker spaniel, a black lab, a black russian terrier, and an english bulldog who developed cancer in her later years). All of our dogs were always well-loved and exercised. My english bulldog was the most fit and active bulldog people ever saw as she would climb some mountains with me!! She was my best buddy and side kick going with me everywhere. I promise you, I will love your dog with the same heart and deliver the same care as if my own. After all they are the man's best friend and deserved to be treated as such! I am a physician assistant who is presently unemployed which means more play time with puppies! This leaves ample time to spend with your pup and/or take them on longer outdoor adventures (hike some trails!). I care for your dog just as he/she was my own. I'll follow the guidelines provided by the owner to a "T". And I'm always happy to share photos and an update of the stay/walk to give you peace of mind. If I'm staying at a home, I typically leave the home in better condition than when I arrive - so free housecleaning services are included :)
About: I've volunteered at the humane society taking care of cats. I have helped neighbors and family with walking and feeding thir dogs. I enjoy spending time around animals. I can help out everyday after 7:30pm, excluding weekends. I have a 9 am to 7:30pm everyday. The routine is to feed and walk and play. In the client's home I will care for the pet indoor or outdoor depending on the service. House setting would be in the home and dog walking outside the home with bear spray for protection.
About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I’ve spent years caring for pets for friends and family. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels. I make sure every animal gets plenty of exercise, affection, playtime, and care while their family is away. I love creating a fun, safe, and comfortable environment for every animal I watch. I am great with any communication requests/requirements and I hope to help make this process easy and smooth :) As a General Manager in retail, I have a very flexible schedule and am able to create my own work hours. I can adjust my day as needed and take breaks when necessary, making it easy for me to return home for feeding times, potty breaks, exercise, and general care. My schedule typically ranges between the hours of 9am to 9:30pm, but I have the flexibility to structure those hours around the needs of my pet. I worked in child care for a couple years and I am the oldest four siblings. I also grew up with our family dog named Pookah. While I understand that caring for humans and dogs are different, I have experience caring for others with the upmost respect, care, kindness, and patience. I love taking walks and getting outside. Overall, I strive to create a very warm and fun environment for any pet I care for.
“Bobby was attentive and wonderful! We appreciated getting pictures of our cats and she sent regular updates. She was also flexible as our plans evolved due to flight issues.”
