About: I love dogs, I like to do what they want! We live in Anchorage so dogs close by are preferable. We would love to do dog walks or drop in visits. We get outside a lot and like to get off leash if it's a safe area and your dog won't take off. Otherwise retractable leashes are the way to go. We are responsible about picking up dog poop. We will show your dog a good time! We will customize our care for your dog, just let us know any details you need us to know. On walks we will keep them on a leash unless it’s a dog park or an off leash area and know that they will return to our command. Whatever schedule is required is fine. Must check the calendar before full schedule is decided. Just let us know what time the walk would need to be and it should be fine. We can do a dog walks as needed, and I may have my son‘s help out. We usually try to keep them on, always to be safe.

About: I’ve had dogs for as long as I can remember and have been caring for them since I was a little kid. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and they are truly family to me. One of my most meaningful experiences was caring for my late dog, Roo, who battled cancer for about a year before we lost her in September. During that time, I gained experience providing medication, extra comfort, patience, and specialized care. I now have a 10-month-old puppy named Tilly and a 13-year-old dog named Leo who keep me active and remind me every day how important exercise, playtime, routine, and affection are. I treat every dog in my care as if they were my own! Whether your pup loves to play, go on walks, or curl up on the couch for cuddles, they’ll receive plenty of attention and care while staying with me. I have a secure fenced yard for supervised play and plenty of space for dogs to relax indoors. My own dog is friendly, playful, and accustomed to being around other dogs. I carefully introduce pets, follow each owner’s instructions, and maintain routines as closely as possible. I provide lots of attention, updates, and photos throughout their stay.
About: My husband and I lost our great Pyrenees a few months ago. :( We have an older shihtzu and would like to watch another dog because our dog is getting older and does not like to hike anymore. She does enjoy her walks tho. We like all types of dogs as long as they are well behaved and get along with cats and other dogs. Our home is 2,800 sq ft and we have a 10,000 sq ft yard. We can only host 2 dogs max at a time so your dog will be well taken care. We prefer only one at a time tho since we also have a cat . I am currently working part time but work from home most of the time. My husband also works from home . We walk our dog 2 -3 times a day. We like to hike and during the summer and in winter we walk the trails that are right next to our home. I have a fenced yard , but can also crate your baby if you prefer. We have everything needed for a big or little dog.

About: i had 3 dogs in my life. 2 of the dogs i had. i had since i was born. then i adopted another dog in 2014. wanting to adopted more dogs in the future. i have dogsit before in the past 3 years before i knew about rover. i love and adore dogs. i cant imagine life without one. Dogs are everything to me. Having dogs around get me outside more and walking more. i have trained my 3 dogs. so i know a tiny bit about trainging them. I do live in an apartment in the 3rd floor on the top. If the dog needs it I can carry him/her up and down the stairs no issue at all. The dog must have a leash for me to watch them i would have the pet come over to my apartment. im around a place where i can take the dog on a long or short walk. the apartment im at is very pet friendly. About: During my childhood I often spent time with my grandmother and her pack of boxers. Now I have a Boston Terrier named Jack. I can handle a pack of up to 8 on my own I do currently have a job so I can be a bit busy sometimes. I live with quite a few people, we all help out with caring for the dogs in our care. About: I am a Certified Veterinary Technician with many years of experience in the veterinary field and a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, giving me a strong background in animal care and behavior. I have raised and cared for dogs for over 20 years and love playing, walking, pottying, and spending quality time with them. I am also trained to help animals in emergency situations. My dog, Pico de Gallo, is the love of my life, and I would treat your dog/cat/animal with the same care, patience, and love as if they were my own. I work for myself, so any animal that needs care would be worked into my schedule. I can do stop-ins, walks, play time, anything that is needed for your pets to be taken care of. As my calendar fills up, I ensure the times requested for pets come first before overloading my schedule. I would take care of pets in my clients' homes. I would do potty breaks and ensure the house was not used. I would take the dogs for walks and play with them to burn off some energy before bringing them back home, if the owner allowed it. I would also feed and make sure they drank water before I left, updating the owner on how they are doing. Otherwise, I would utilize the spaces given to me ( a fenced yard, etc.). For cats, I would check in on them and make sure they are fed and watered. i would play with them with their toys and then update their owner on how they are doing.
About: I grew up on a farm in Rupert, Idaho running around with cows, chickens, horses, and dogs. I love working on the farm with my Dad and taking care of all of the animals. Being a caretaker is a large part of who I am. As I have also worked in nursing homes and rehabilitation centers. Being a caregiver is not about you. It is about who you take care of. Each individual is different and should be treated that way. I currently live in a spacious apartment that has a fenced in dog park where they can play and make friends. I could also provide one on one activities if that is preferred, so whether your dog is large or small, young and active, or aged and tired, or just tired, or whatever. I would love to accommodate whatever needs you or your pet have.

About: I love animals! I am able to walk far distances and care for specific needs. I have a cat of my own and can drive to your house. I am currently working as a barista downtown and own a car. I am able to drive to your location no matter the day and feed/ care for your animal. I am not able to house pets at my own house but feel absolutely fine going to your location. I am able to spend overnights there as well.

I was a vet tech for a few years until moving to human medicine, but I maintain my pet CPR certification. I live a very active lifestyle, and would love to include high energy dogs on hikes, runs and bike rides! I'm a rover sitter because it's the best way to get animal time when your schedule isn't consistent enough to have your own. I can provide most any animal-related service that you might desire, just ask! I have a flexible schedule on a rotating basis due to my schedule in medicine! On days I have shifts I am still available in the early morning and evening. I have a fenced in back yard and live right near a trail system for going on walks! If pets want to sleep in my bed with me I am totally fine with that, they're also welcome on my furniture.

About: I’m a dog parent of a 3 yo husky mix who keeps me busy. She’s more social than I am, & most days, I’m chasing her around trying to keep up. I like to bike, ski, and play in the mountains, and it’s pretty easy to add another pet into the mix of our high energy lifestyle. Dog sitting was my first job, and I’ve had great experiences with Rover as a pet parent & a sitter I work full time, but I take an hour lunch break every day for dog walks. A typical day starts with a 30 min walk in the morning, 45 mins at lunch, and another 30-60 mins in the evenings. Love to take the dogs hiking, or out to one of the beaches in town, or up on a hiking trail. I have a friendly dog at home, & I require a meet & greet before overnight stays to make sure the personalities work together. Please bring a crate with you if your pet is used to having their own. Please also bring or identify whatever toys, treats, comfort items they can’t live without.
