“Sarah is great with my high energy dogs! It’s hard for me to find care for them because one of my dogs is scared of strangers, but Sarah made her feel comfortable and relaxed. Very thankful and looking forward to future appointments!”

About: I’ve always had animals since I was born, and love and appreciate the sweet qualities they bring to our lives. I enjoy being able to fill in the gaps for pet owners so their beloved pet can experience less anxiety while they are away. I am 32 years old, married for 9 years, and have an 8 year old and 3 month old daughters. I am a nursing student and use Rover to make a bit of extra income, get exercise, and spend time with amazing animals. I have a husky mix and terrier mix, so I have experience in quite contrasting breeds! I also have a 4 year old tabby cat. PLEASE NOTE I follow the ASD (Anchorage School District) snow days and holidays and can not provide services during those times as my oldest will be out of school. Most of the time I will have my baby with me for walks. For this reason I can only accept dogs well trained on leash and who are ok with kids. She will not be allowed to interact with your pet, I will wear her in a carrier. I am available Monday through Friday 9 am with my last booking available at 1:30 pm. Please remember I follow ASD snow days and holidays. No weekends. I am well versed in escape artists and keeping them safely indoors. I have owned birds, fish, cats, and dogs. I am a nursing student, and even though animals are much different than people I am intuitive to if something is wrong. My current dog is 16 years old and I am familair with the needs of a senior animal.
“we have seven dogs that were happy and healthy when we came home after a long day of fishing, so we really appreciate all Olga did and invited her back”
About: My name is Jacob and I have 15 years of experience caring for mine and my family's pets. I also have years of volunteer experience at shelters caring for cats and dogs. My schedule is pretty flexible to do drop-in care for your pets or walks as needed. I am willing to work with clients so they can get the care they need for their pets. I am willing to do drop-in care at client's homes as needed. I can also take dogs for walks from client's homes as requested by client.
About: Are the icy sidewalks, slippery trails and cold temperatures keeping you from walking the dog?❄️ I can help! I’m available every morning to take your pup for a safe, reliable walk—rain, snow, or freezing rain. I’m located in College Village and take my 90 pound Lab out every morning and we’d love to have some company. If you’re busy or stuck inside, and your dog needs some exercise and interaction, I can help. I work a flexible and somewhat variable schedule from home so I’m able to plan hiking adventures in the Chugach for me and my dog, Axel. He is an active Labrador Retriever and needs more prolonged and strenuous activity than what we get with a short walk and quick game of fetch. When we get home from a hike, he is completely worn out and happy! We go several times a week, weather dependent. If your pup needs some strenuous exercise or a play date, book you service with me and Axel. For dog walking, I am happy to pick up your dog at your house or you can drop them off at my house. I drive a Subaru and have enough space for your dog to join mine for a short ride. I will then drive us to a local park or trailhead to begin our adventure. I will send you photos of the parking lot or trailhead and will let you know our estimated route and times. Walking/hiking times vary depending on your needs. In the case you need short term sitting while handing off your dog, I do have a fenced in backyard. For drop-in visits in your home, just let me know what you need. I’m happy to help out.

About: I love dogs, I like to do what they want! We live in Anchorage so dogs close by are preferable. We would love to do dog walks or drop in visits. We get outside a lot and like to get off leash if it's a safe area and your dog won't take off. Otherwise retractable leashes are the way to go. We are responsible about picking up dog poop. We will show your dog a good time! We will customize our care for your dog, just let us know any details you need us to know. On walks we will keep them on a leash unless it’s a dog park or an off leash area and know that they will return to our command. Whatever schedule is required is fine. Must check the calendar before full schedule is decided. Just let us know what time the walk would need to be and it should be fine. We can do a dog walks as needed, and I may have my son‘s help out. We usually try to keep them on, always to be safe.

My dogs are used to constant attention, so leaving them always makes me anxious. Ida and Jake gave them lots of attention, communicated really well, and treated my babies with the kindness they deserve. We will definitely look up Ida and Jake again when we need help. Thank you!

Chelsey is really great with our girls. When we return home our cats are in good spirits and are unstressed. Chelsey plays with them and gives great updates with adorable pics. She is very respectful and trustworthy and lets us know vital information in real time. She is great!

Chet came by about 10 days before I booked home visits and took in quickly all details of how to care for my dog. Everyday he sent pictures to me when I was out of town. Very Very happy & I may never use a dog kennel again as my dog is reactive to all other animals & was able to stay in her own yard and house. Very happy with Chet and Rover.
