About: Hello fellow animal lovers! I grew up with both cats and dogs - over 20 years with both and I love them all. From a Shetland sheep dog to a Great Dane to lovely shelter mutts, I love getting to know pups' unique personalities. I also have a special talent for winning over standoffish cats - just give me a couple of days. About me - I'm and education and training professional working a hybrid job based out of Portland, Maine. From northern California originally, I love exploring the coast, traveling, reading, and sketching & painting (poorly - but no one says you have to be good at your hobbies!). I travel too much to have a pet of my own right now, so I hope you'll let me play with yours! I work a hybrid job, meaning my schedule allows for full-time with your pets Thursday evenings through Monday evenings (in the office Tuesday through Thursdays). I am happy to discuss specific needs and schedules with each client. I will do everything I can to provide safety and comfort for your pets while you are away. If you'd like any addition house care for your home (e.g., watering plants, picking up mail) please let me know! Outside of caring for your pets, I am open for general house sitting.

“Sergey was terrific! He came by to meet our dog before the pet sitting appointment and was very patient and caring. He was on time and dependable. If we visit Portland again we will definitely ask for him to pet sit our dog again.”

“Madeleine was a wonderful sitter for my little pup! Rusty really liked her right from their first meeting. She stayed at my house which was perfect because Rusty is used to someone being home all the time. When I returned, the house was exactly the way I left it. I would highly recommend Madeleine for per/house sitting!”

“Emily was great! She was responsive, sent pictures and took great care of my dog for 5 days while I was traveling. She brought in my mail and my house was just the way I left it when ai got back. I had to book a pet sitter at the last minute and Emily was quick to respond and made herself available to come meet my dog before I left. I would definitely book her again.”

“Devyn was very kind and attentive to our dog Merle! Great communication and truly enjoyed being at our home on an island and taking care of him. She walked him and fed him and followed everything that we talked about before we left. I will definitely have her again and would recommend her any time to care of your dog! Definitely made everything stress free! Thank you!! Merci Devyn!! A la prochaine!!”

About: I bring a lifelong love of animals and a wide range of hands-on experience. I grew up caring for animals of all kinds, have walked dogs and supported adoptions in shelter environments, and have provided reliable in-home care through years of house sitting. I’ve also lived with and fostered cats for most of my life—including young, feral, and undersocialized ones—which has given me a strong intuition for reading animal behavior and offering calm, compassionate care. I'm skilled in administering all types of medications and am happy to handle the day-to-day tasks, from walks to litter box deep cleans, with real care and attention. As a self-employed person with a very flexible schedule, I’m able to accommodate pet care throughout the week—including weekdays, evenings, and weekends. This allows me to tailor my availability to meet the specific needs of each pet and household, whether it’s daily visits, drop-ins, or walks at off-peak hours. When boarding cats in my home, I provide a calm, private room just for them—completely separate from my own cats—to ensure they feel safe and stress-free during their stay. In a client’s home, I’m attentive to any specific routines or safety needs, including crating dogs if requested. I always prioritize a pet’s comfort and well-being, keeping their environment clean, secure, and aligned with what they're used to.

About: Hello! I have been professionally working with animals for over 10 years. I have worked with a variety of species & breeds. I am originally from Pennsylvania where I first began my pet-sitting journey. I now live in Portland with my rescue cat named Onion! I have a packed schedule of weekly regulars but I would love to help out with extra housesitting or vacation visits! I have worked with pets of all breeds, sizes, ages, abilities, & temperaments! I have been trusted with animals for over 10 years & have created a great bond with all of my past clients (pet or human kind). I love to send frequent updates on your pet through text or email to help give peace of mind!

About: I've cared for dogs, cats, birds, fish, and gerbils. I grew up with many dogs in my household of all sizes and ages. I've cared for many cats as well, including spicy and shy cats. I am active and enjoy running and playing with dogs! As a part time job I teach pickleball clinics. I know the importance of being respectful and patient with animals, tuning into their needs and individual personalities. Vegetarian for the animals! After a successful IT career for 11+ years, I am now a student going back to school to get my master's in social work and have open availability for pet care throughout my week. I am very respectful of the needs of my clients, and make sure that their pet and home is well cared for! Communication is my strong suit and I will make sure to send photos and texts regarding care!

“Crystal watched my pup for a weekend when I took a last-minute trip out of town. She was communicative and sent pictures of my happy dog throughout the weekend, which made me feel so at ease. I came home to a relaxed dog and my apartment was even cleaner than when I left it! Would hire Crystal again.”

About: Hello! I would describe myself as very patient, active, and involved! I have four years of experience pet and home-sitting for all pets! I am happy to help with household chores and enjoy working with families to provide the best care for furry (and not furry friends)! I am a doctoral student so my day to day time is somewhat flexible! I am a morning person who enjoys long walks, so energetic pets are welcome! I grew up with multiple giant breed dogs, rabbits, and lizards, so I have experience with most pet needs! I am happy to walk, feed, and keep your pets company!

“I cannot recommend Ryan enough! She dog sat for my two fur babies and was an absolute pleasure to work with. Responsive, communicative, kind, respectful, and a calming force - the perfect care taker for my two high energy, very spoiled dogs. We look forward to booking her again soon!”

About: I've always been a reliable dog-watcher for friends and co-workers and am looking to bring that care and love to your dog! I don't have a dog myself due to apartment restrictions so I will shower your dog with all that stored up love and affection. I've had experience with dogs ranging from 1 year old to 6 years and small dogs (10-12 lbs) to larger ones (80 lbs) as well. I love dogs of all kinds! I am primarily available for house-sitting, drop-in and walking opportunities. I'm very communicative and would share pictures and updates as desired. I love experiencing each dog's unique personality. I'd love to meet your dog to make sure you're both comfortable and I can learn any necessary information about your dog. Reach out with any questions! I work remotely so taking care of a dog would fit around my meeting schedule as needed but I can be pretty flexible with what the dog needs. I primarily offer house-sitting opportunities as that fits in best with my work from home schedule and I'm not able to have dogs in my apartment.

Heather S.
“Heather is tremendous with animals. She not only loves all critters but is patient, attentive, and has an intuitive sense for animals’ body language, comforts and needs. At the local rescue they reserve the spiciest kittens for Heather to foster because they know after just a little time with her even the most feral and scared babies will have opened up and learned what a safe and trustworthy human feels like. I think any pet owner would be lucky to have Heather looking after their fluffy companion.”

Katey B.
Star Sitter

“Katey became such an integral part of our family for several years. Her care and love for my family’s two English Bulldogs was wonderful. Our dogs were always so excited to know Katey was coming for a long weekend or even afternoon walks. From feeding, walking, petting, or giving medicine, Katey’s passion for my dogs was evident and felt.”

Sam is punctual, trustworthy and easy to work with.”
