About: I’ve taken care of multiple animals since the age of 7. I’ve had 3 different dogs and dog breeds, and they were always loving and happy to be in my care. I currently have an 11 year old healthy yorkie who has had such a happy life filled with love, people think she’s a puppy still. I am have a great instinct when dealing with animals, and I’ve also been a temporary care taker for my grandma. Im currently an 18 year old who’s finished with highschool, soon to become a student in esthetician school so I have plenty of time for your adorable fur babies! I’m available from 3 pm - 9 pm on weekdays, 8 am - 9 pm on weekends. I have a fenced backyard, an alarm system on my house, a quiet, clean home, and a calm, kind 11 year old female yorkshire terrier at home along with my mom and my 5 year old little brother.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for neighbors, friends, and coworkers since high school. From personal experience with my own pets to drop in visits for neighbors and friends, my love for animals drives me to provide extra loving care with lots of cuddles (only if they like them, of course). I am currently working at a 9-5 internship, so my mornings and evenings are free to take care of your furry friends! My consistent schedule allows me to dedicate breakfast and dinner time to your pet’s needs. I have years of experience with home visits! I will make sure I don’t leave a trace while taking care of your pets, whether that means cleaning dishes, consistently picking up in the yard, cleaning litter boxes, or whatever else you may need! I am happy to stay around for cuddles or be in and out, whatever fits your schedule and needs.

About: Raised my own dog and his puppy from birth, now experienced with senior care. Pet sitting is natural to me, it's not just a job. I currently have a part time job and in college. My hours vary through the week but they are set depending the season because of school. I have a senior dog, so he can either be relaxed or playful. So I can always adjust to my babies needs and I can do the same for yours!

About: I’ve been a dog lover for as long as I can remember! I’ve grown up with 1–2 dogs in my household my entire life and have also cared for family and friends’ dogs many times over the years. I’m comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities and love getting to know each dog’s individual routine and needs. While I haven’t worked professionally as a dog walker, I’m very comfortable around dogs and would love the opportunity to give them some extra exercise, attention, and companionship. I’m especially interested in dog walks and drop-in visits, and I’m always happy to provide plenty of snuggles, belly rubs, playtime, and affection!:) My schedule is flexible, and I’m available for dog walks and drop in visits throughout the week. I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine and provide plenty of exercise, attention, playtime, and snuggles! I treat every pet with respect/love and prioritize their safety, comfort, and routine. I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions, keeping doors and gates secure, and making sure your pup feels happy and cared for while you’re away.

About: I have experience caring for cats and dogs of all ages and personalities, including administering oral medications and following detailed care instructions. Whether your pet needs a fun walk, companionship during a drop-in visit, or extra patience and attention, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I work from home and so I have a lot of flexibility on weekdays for drop-ins and/or walks. I have the most availability on weekends if you go out of town and want someone to stop by multiple times to check on your pet. When caring for your pet in your home, my goal is to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I’ll follow your instructions closely, whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication, or simply spending quality time with your pet. I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, affection, and exercise while you’re away. I also understand that I’m a guest in your home. I’ll treat your space with the same care and respect that I would my own.

About: I grew up with dogs and have experience giving oral medication, injections (insulin) & IVs under the skin. My Layla passed away in 2017 from encephalitis and she had to get IVs every day on top of other things. We got Bruce in 2018 & Rocky in 2019. They are two peas in a pod..I call them Batman & Robin. They are great with other dogs as my husband and I have had many different breeds and sizes at our home. If your fur baby gets dirty playing in the yard, we will give the a bath (with your permission of course). They will go on daily walks, have a lot of play time since I work from home and I will make sure to send you photos and updates throughout their stay. Communication is extremely important to me. We look forward to meeting you and your furbabies! I am a real estate professional and run a team here in the Triad. I work from home and have the time to care for your fur baby as a majority of my work is from my computer. Rocky and Bruce love having new playmates over as well and we have a large yard for them to run around in 😊 We have a large fenced-in back yard and a deck for them to lounge on. I never let other people’s dogs stay outside unsupervised. If they are outside, I am outside. It’s an extra step of care that is super important to me because sometimes, animals can be unpredictable, see a squirrel or a rabbit and jump the fence etc. We ensure your fur baby is safe.

Meredith was absolutely incredible! We were so excited to get her updates every day and could tell how genuinely she cared for our kitties. Audrey was awesome! So sweet and kind. She came over for a quick meet and greet before I left town and I could tell she didn’t need any direction. She was very timely and stayed for the entire timeslot. She watched my 2 cats and sent lots of photos of play time. I told her my one cat would probably hide during her visits but that didn’t stop Audrey from finding her and sending me a photo of her hiding place everyday just so I knew she was okay. I am definitely rebooking for all future trips.

Breonna was amazing with our dogs and cat. They’re not comfortable with most people, but they loved her and even our cat who never talks to anyone came out to say Hi to her. She cared for them during our 8 day trip out of the country. We felt at peace the entire time, and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better to care for our babies. We definitely will use her services again and highly recommend her to anyone needing care and love for their babies.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Oak Crest. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
