“Hannah was an AMAZING sitter. I was hesitant initially but she provided such good communication which made me comfortable. She also left the cutest toy and report card on my dog’s care. I will definitely be working with her again. 10/10”

“Shanley is the best and gives above and beyond for puppy! I selected Shanley to take my pup out while I’m at work and although she doesn’t have to do anything with my other dogs, she’s still engaged with them as well!”

“Andrew was reliable, friendly, and left incredibly thorough/detailed updates of our cats. Our standoffish girls grew to love him as he played with them, gave them pets anda ttention, and followed our preferred feeding/litter schedule. He even brought in mail/packages when they arrived (thank you, Andrew!) and let us know if anything seemed amiss in the house. We will happily book with Andrew again.”

“Elise is a fantastic pet sitter! She’s reliable, a great communicator, and always leaves everything clean and tidy. Most importantly, our kitties are happy and content when we get home, which gives us tremendous peace of mind whenever we travel. Highly recommend!”

“Noelle is the absolute best! My kitty loves her and I’m always certain she will take the best care of her while I’m away. I couldn’t ask for a better pet sitter, I’ve already rebooked ♥️”

About: I grew up with dogs and have experience giving oral medication, injections (insulin) & IVs under the skin. My Layla passed away in 2017 from encephalitis and she had to get IVs every day on top of other things. We got Bruce in 2018 & Rocky in 2019. They are two peas in a pod..I call them Batman & Robin. They are great with other dogs as my husband and I have had many different breeds and sizes at our home. If your fur baby gets dirty playing in the yard, we will give the a bath (with your permission of course). They will go on daily walks, have a lot of play time since I work from home and I will make sure to send you photos and updates throughout their stay. Communication is extremely important to me. We look forward to meeting you and your furbabies! I am a real estate professional and run a team here in the Triad. I work from home and have the time to care for your fur baby as a majority of my work is from my computer. Rocky and Bruce love having new playmates over as well and we have a large yard for them to run around in 😊 We have a large fenced-in back yard and a deck for them to lounge on. I never let other people’s dogs stay outside unsupervised. If they are outside, I am outside. It’s an extra step of care that is super important to me because sometimes, animals can be unpredictable, see a squirrel or a rabbit and jump the fence etc. We ensure your fur baby is safe.
“Megan was a thoughtful catsitter. She left me messages about how the cats were reacting, attached cute pictures to the cards and communicated appropriately. I will definitely be rebooking!”

About: I’m a dedicated cat owner of two adorable cats and understand how important routines, litter box monitoring, feeding schedules, and daily updates are for pet parents. About: Raised my own dog and his puppy from birth, now experienced with senior care. Pet sitting is natural to me, it's not just a job. I currently have a part time job and in college. My hours vary through the week but they are set depending the season because of school. I have a senior dog, so he can either be relaxed or playful. So I can always adjust to my babies needs and I can do the same for yours!

“Rebecca was an absolute pleasure to work with. She updated me frequently on my girls and was super accommodating with the timeframes where I needed assistance with my pups. Would highly recommend to anyone!! 🤩”

“I am writing to highly recommend Samantha (Grace) for pet sitting services. She was a wonderful fit for my dogs. Samantha's genuine love for animals and her commitment to their care were immediately evident. My dogs absolutely adored the attention she gave them. She was also incredibly reliable and consistent with her timing, which is crucial for my dogs' routine. I will certainly be using her services again in the future and would wholeheartedly recommend her. Best regards, Troy Machamer”

“Angela was asked to care for our 16 year old cat for 12 days. On top of the normal cat duties. Our baby required multiple medications twice a day. Angela was up to the task! Angela communicated with us daily - text messages, photos, and videos. When our baby was showing signs of stress due to our absence, Angela spent the time comforting and bonding with our baby. I would highly recommend Angela to care for your fur baby!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Oak Crest
Noelle took great care of my kitten, Winona, while I was away for the weekend. She kept me updated and was very patient with her, even though she’s a bit shy around new people. I really appreciated the updates and felt comfortable knowing Winona was well cared for. I’d definitely book with Noelle again!

Hannah was a wonderful cat sitter! She was proactive and reached out to reconfirm our booking the day before, which we really appreciated. We were in an area with limited cell service, but Hannah was prompt with every visit and kept great communication throughout. It was clear she genuinely cared and we felt confident our cats were in good hands.

Annalisa was absolutely wonderful! She took excellent care of our 2 kitties, and even won over our super shy one. She went above and beyond our expectations by checking and clearing the litter yay the beginning and end of each visit. We came home to 2 perfectly calm and happy cats, thanks to her outstanding care and attention. She will be our first choice every time!
Breonna was amazing with our dogs and cat. They’re not comfortable with most people, but they loved her and even our cat who never talks to anyone came out to say Hi to her. She cared for them during our 8 day trip out of the country. We felt at peace the entire time, and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better to care for our babies. We definitely will use her services again and highly recommend her to anyone needing care and love for their babies.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
