About: Throughout high school and my first two years at college, I've consistently had the opportunity to dog sit for coworkers, friends, family, or people who knew me from a friend! I'm used to taking dogs on walks and caring for them in their homes. I currently don't have a pet of my own so it's always nice to hang out with other people's pets! I will be a student at Iowa State University this fall. I want to be able to get out and hang with your pet or take them for a walk! It'll be the perfect break from studying and any stress. My schedule at ISU is pretty flexible for anyone's pet needing care in the early morning, evening, or nighttime! I take extra precaution when I meet new pets to try and figure out and understand their nature and what's normal for them. I always ensure that every instruction from the owner is noted and followed. I love to form connections to new pets and watch them get comfortable around me or even become more and more excited to see me! I will only be able to visit the client's home as my apartment does not allow pets.
About: Hi! I’m a reliable and patient pet sitter with experience caring for cats with a wide range of personalities..from super social and playful to more independent or shy. I understand that cats thrive on routine and a calm environment, so I always take the time to learn their habits, preferences, and boundaries. Whether your cat loves attention or prefers their space, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I’m experienced with: • Feeding routines and fresh water care • Litter box cleaning and maintenance • Playtime and enrichment • Giving space to more reserved or anxious cats • Monitoring behavior and overall well-being I’m very detail-oriented and will make sure everything is done exactly how you prefer. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos so you can relax knowing your cat is doing well. I do work full-time as an accountant, but my schedule is very flexible in how I structure my days around watching and caring your animals and their needs! I have a fenced in backyard where my dogs can play and relax without the worry of a leash or harness, and they have free roam of my home

“Jenna has been a blessing. Wanted a reliable, responsible, caring dog walker and she is exactly that and more. I don’t trust my dogs with just anyone. Jenna deserves a five star rating.”

“Rachael is a gem!! Bobbie Sue adores her, and it is great to be able to trust someone with my pet. She spends extra time with Bobbie Sue and really appreciates her job🌞❤️. Always love the photos she takes 🌞❤️”

“Molly has been providing us with walks and doggie day care for a number of weeks. She is always reliable, professional, and puntual! We're very glad to have her help giving our dog Ezio the exercise, care, and company he deserves while my spouse and I both work full-time at an office. She clearly knows what she's doing when taking care of pets.”

About: I thrive on routines, keep things clean, and pay attention to the details that matter, feeding schedules, meds, quirks, energy levels. I’m comfortable with everything from high-energy dogs that need real exercise to older dogs that want consistency and patience, I have one of each myself. You’ll get clear updates, photos, and honest communication, no guessing. If your dog needs structure and calm energy, we’ll get along well. I work from home when I’m not traveling, so your dog isn’t sitting alone all day. My dogs rotate between lounging inside and playing in the yard, with built-in lunch and evening walks. I keep a steady routine and can adjust to match yours, feeding times, meds, exercise, whatever your dog is used to. If I’m traveling, I block availability. Fully fenced yard, dog-friendly home, and two well-socialized dogs if your pup likes company. I’m comfortable with crate routines if that’s what your dog knows. I keep a clean, structured environment and separate dogs when needed based on energy or temperament. I also have a 7-year-old who is around at times, respectful, supervised, and good with dogs. If your dog isn’t comfortable with kids, just say so and I’ll plan accordingly. Clear communication, consistent care, and safety first, always.
“Carly was amazing with my boy Murphy! She was very diligent to ensure my requests for Murphy were upheld. She would message me and see whether I wanted Murphy left out or kenneled. She was constantly giving updates and for that I am thankful. I would recommend Carly to anyone seeking someone to care for their dog!”

“Jessica was great! She took time out of her night to come visit Koda the night before she walked him and see how they did with each other! She was also a great walker and was willing to just hang out with him outside of his kennel and play with his toys! We will definitely be going back to Jessica again!”

About: My family had dogs growing up so I have some experience walking and playing with dogs. I also have had my cats for about 7 years. I work from home Wednesdays and Fridays and could easily stop in for check ins during those days. I love to go on walks to grays lake so definitely looking for a dog or two to take with me. I would prefer a set of rules for my clients pets so I would know best how to service their pet while they are away.

About: With a lifelong ownership of dogs and cats, my experience expanded into rescue fostering in 2021. During this time, I have successfully handled pets that deal with separation anxiety, reactivity, handicaps, and limited obedience/cooperation. I am genuinely excited to learn more about your pet(s), their specific care requirements, and their quirks. I’d love to have responsibility of being your trusted caretaker while you’re away! I am currently working fully remote so am able to do all activities through the weekdays, and have flexible hours on weekends. I’m available to accommodate your schedule to the best of my ability. My home is pet-free, ensuring a comfortable environment for your pet(s), especially if they don’t get along well with other animals. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
