“Candice did a fantastic job dropping in on our pups while we were away for the day. This was our first time ever using a pet sitter/drop-in service, and she made it such a great experience. My dogs usually take some time to warm up to new people, but they almost immediately took to her. She was attentive, caring, and made sure all of their needs were met. It gave us great peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We will absolutely be booking with her again in the future!”

“Adriana was a huge help to me in a last minute request. She was great with the pets and it was clear they were comfortable with her from the pics she sent me. Thanks so much!”

“Jamie was so good working with our anxious dog why we were away for a week. She sent lots of pictures and provided updates after each time she visited our dog”

“Kaeley stopped by to meet my dog and myself before our 1st booking. She was very friendly, interacted with my dog and I felt she was a great choice to do drop in visits. She was on time and communicated very well. We already have additional dates for Kaeley to do other drop in visits.”

“Crystal went above and beyond with our cat Misty! She even trimmed her claws without me even asking. Most importantly, she played and talked to her and didn’t just spend time on a phone. I’m DEFINITELY calling her again!”

“Kaylah was wonderful with our Great Dane during our day trip. She was very accommodating and eager to enjoy her time with our big baby. She sent updates and wonderful pictures. At no point were we not confident that Ellie was in great hands.”

“Thoroughly enjoyed Hayley! She was very professional. Was not worried at all while I was out of town. She was good about coming at the same times, kept me informed on how Roscoe was doing with pictures and was quick to answer when I texted or called. Will definitely be using her next time I leave town. She treated Roscoe as if he was her own!”

“Realized that bonito flakes would be a diabetic-safe treat for my cat and (after checking with me of course) introduced them to him for Christmas. Definition of going above and beyond :)”

“Kilie is the best! I am always anxious about leaving my cat alone when I’m out of town, but she alleviates that anxiety with lots of pictures and updates of my kitty. She is always prompt, and my Telly absolutely loves her. She takes the time to snuggle with him and play with him, which is essential since he is very people-oriented. Please book her! She’s amazing!”

“Maria & my dog, Tank, got very close very quickly. We were pleasantly surprised with her efforts and continuous communication, and we’d definitely recommend her to a friend.”

“Erica goes out of her way to forge a rapport with my skiddish scaredy cat! She was able to check in on her in a pinch when my flight got delayed. I’m a repeat client and already have Erica booked again for more check ins!”

“We hired Jen for four consecutive days while we were out of town to check in on our pug, Charlie. She stopped by each day to feed her, take her outside, and spend some quality time playing with her. Jen was incredibly reliable and communicative throughout the entire process. She even adjusted one of her visits by a couple of hours to accommodate a scheduling change we had, which we really appreciated. Before the booking, Jen also took the time to meet with my wife and I (and, of course, Charlie!) so we could walk through everything in person. That gave us a lot of confidence knowing Charlie would be in good hands. We'll absolutely be booking Jen again. She's dependable, thoughtful, and clearly cares about the pets she looks after. Highly recommended!”

“Deborah went above and beyond taking care of my animals! Sent a lot of pictures and videos and played with my dogs a bunch outside. She even got my mail while we were gone. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter!”

“Meghanne is wonderful! She provides excellent care for my Great Pyrenees and I never have to worry about her while I’m away. She was also great about giving her her allergy meds. It’s so good to find someone who is so dependable and provides so much love to my pup when I’m not here.”

“Alyssa is doing a wonderful job with my anxious chihuahua! She has been so accommodating and has been willing to go slow to help him adjust. He usually takes many repeat introductions before he is ok with anyone new, but he absolutely adored her starting from the very first visit!”

About: I've been a dog owner and lover my whole life, and I've cared for dogs of all ages — from wiggly puppies to sweet senior babies who just need a little extra patience and TLC. I have hands-on experience with small breeds and understand that little dogs often have big personalities and specific needs. My home is calm, safe, and welcoming — no chaos, no stress. I've also cared for dogs with special needs, so I'm comfortable with medications, mobility issues, or anything that requires a little more attentiveness. When your dog is with me, they're not just being "watched" — they're being cared for like they belong here I work from home in a calm environment. I have two cats that are very well behaved and one dog who is a little crazy. She is deaf with some separation anxiety and OCD, but she is such a little sweetheart. I spend all day waiting on these guys hand and foot, what’s one or two more? 😊 My sweet, friendly dog will keep yours company all day long. I live on a cul-de-sac and we take several walks throughout the day.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
