About: I know how important it is to feel confident that your beloved pets are happy and safe when you are traveling. Thats why I am really more of a dog nanny than a dogsitter. I have a soft spot for dogs who are shy or anxious, and whose trust I need to earn. I am particularly experienced with northern breeds such as Huskies and Malamutes. Regular clients get great benefits on top of in-house pet sitting. My base rate includes 1 hour or more of exercise (off leash park or leashed hike). I offer nail trims/dremels and light grooming at no additional cost. I offer deshedding/bathing for a modest fee, and I'm flexible about last minute schedule changes. For housesitting gigs, my dog Kaya is my +1. She provides stellar socialization and exercise for dogs who will accept canine visitors. I respect that some of owners feel reluctant to invite in dogs they don't know. If you would like your dog to have socialization with visitors but you're concerned, I have a lot of training experience with this and I may be of some help. Every day we have at least 1 hour of exercise in an off leash park or a leashed hike. My guests also get to join me on socialization expeditions such as visiting dog-friendly businesses. I can provide basic first aid in case of minor injuries, and I have an excellent track record for keeping dogs safe and out of mischief. In addition to Rover's insurance, I also have a private pet sitting insurance policy.

They also asked a lot of great questions to make sure they had all of the information they needed about our dogs while we were gone. They were very flexible with time too, I was able to book them with just a few days notice, and had to stay out later than expected which was no problem for them.
