“Erin was the absolute best! This was my first time requesting a service at my home and I was truly nervous about trusting someone. I was immediately put at ease during my introduction meeting with Erin and had complete trust she would take the best care of Rocky. She sent pictures of him and what they did on the visit. I was able to see how happy he was and well taken care of while I was out of town.”

“Madeline was great with our golden retriever for a full week of drop in visits. She was on time every day and gave our dog lots of extra care and attention. I got a report card and pictures daily. I will book Madeline again and I recommend.”

“She was absolutely amazing with Jin! He instantly warmed up to Krista and was extremely happy to see her even after a few minutes 🙂 The update photos were fantastic to see while I was out on a business trip and he was definitely in great hands!”

“We were very happy with Delaney taking care of our sheltie and shih tzu. She accommodated a change in our initial schedule. She also sent pictures while were away to show the boys walking and playing. I appreciated the way the Rover app works with communicating when check-ins occur. We wouldn't hesitate to have Delaney take care of our boys in the future.”

About: Will always treat them as my own! I have such a passion for taking care of pets. Absolutely love all kinds of fur babies/ pets! I’m a stay at home mom! I am usually always free! Just need a day or two in advance to make sure i can make it! I love going outside so i’d love to take them for walks! When in my home they’re free to roam all around & be on the furniture as they wish!

“Christine was great! I would definitely recommend her if you need someone to look after your pets. Our dogs Rocky and CeCe liked her right from the start and we knew as soon as we met her she would be a good fit. She was able to accommodate us last minute as we needed to go away for the night but didn't want to leave our dogs at the kennel. It is definitely a relief knowing that if you have to leave your pets at home, there is someone reliable and trustworthy dropping by to feed and walk them. We're lucky to have found Christine and can't wait to book her again!”

“I feel like I left a review already but I don't see it so maybe I'm crazy. Anyway I have Samantha booked weekly to take my dog out. She is reliable and quick to respond, and very flexible, and great with my weird finicky dog.”

About: i have lived with pets my whole life both cats and large dogs. currently we only have cats but I feel comfortable taking care of low maintenance dogs as well. i live in a house with multiple cat and have primary responsibility for some of them including litter box cleaning, grooming, feeding, watering, all basic needs. I have established routines for meeting these needs on a regular basis. I have also lived with dogs in the past and have basic care knowledge on them as well When boarding cats i will provide a separate quiet space to allow for both interaction and privacy. When caring for pets in your home I will try to mimic your routines as much as possible although that isn't always possible.

About: My pup is a Catahoula Leopard named Kaya. She is deaf and trained with signs and gestures, and is calm and loving towards other animals and humans. I have had a lot of experience taking care, walking, bathing, and checking in on pets for my friends and family when they are out of town. I also have taken care of and given homes to a few furbabies or strays in need a new home. I have had dogs most of my life, including one that birthed two puppies that I took care of until they were old enough for their own homes. I have had 3 dogs that lived into old age that eventually needed extra love, care and medications so I'm practiced and patient and comfortable in helping any pet with their daily needs. Please send me a message if you have any questions! :) Mondays: drop-in visits, or walks Tuesdays: drop-in visits, or walks Wednesdays: drop-in visits, daycare or walks Thursdays: drop-in visits, or walks Fridays: boarding, drop-in visits, daycare or walks Saturdays: boarding, drop-in visits, daycare or walks Sundays: boarding for drop-in visits, daycare or walks Please double check my calendar or message me for Holidays or any requests outside of my availability listed. Some times I am flexible and available outside of what I have here! I take them on walks with leashes and although my yard is fenced, I stand outside to make sure they don't get into anything unsafe. I keep a close eye on them during potty breaks and walk each dog depending on their needs. If I see another dog unleashed I walk in the opposite direction to avoid any issue.

“Ashley was fantastic! We were in a pinch when our usual cat sitter fell through a day before our overseas trip, and Ashley came over for a meet and greet that evening and then stopped by to look after our kitten twice a day while we were gone. She was very flexible when we needed to change the timing a couple times. And she drew our shy kitten out of his shell by playing with him. We will definitely hire Ashley again the next time we need someone to look after our cat.”

About: I've grown up around dogs and learned to take care of them since I was 11 years old with two beloved Labradoodles, Mackenzie and Poppy. Knowing each of them since they were puppies and like family members, I know exactly what they need to be healthy and happy. As a sitter with years of experience fostering animals from my local shelter "Small Miracles" in Ellicott City, I've made it my goal to show others pets just as much love that I've shown to my own dogs. As a student coming home from college for the summer, my schedule is wide open for pet care most days of the week, with only the occasional evening theatre rehearsal in my schedule creating any kind of conflict When caring for pets in my clients homes, I always make sure the pet feels comfortable around me before I approach them, always making sure that they're the one to initiate an interaction that lets them feel safe, while presenting myself as calm. I adore spending time and playing with animals in a safe environment.

About: I grew up with dogs and have been around them my entire life. I currently have a 4 year old German Shepherd mix named Akari who is the absolute love of my life. I just graduated from UMD with my Master's Degree in Education! I am currently in between jobs as I look for a full-time position and have plenty of time to play with all of the dogs! Your pups comfortability is my first priority. I want this to be a fun and enjoyable experience for your dog and will do my best to make sure that happens.

About: I’ve been house and pet sitting since 2018, working with a wide range of dog and cat breeds, temperaments, and energy levels. What sets me apart is my experience providing attentive, compassionate care to pets with special needs—including those requiring timely medications or living with seizure disorders. I understand how important routine, trust, and patience are when it comes to your pet’s comfort and well-being. Whether I'm caring for a playful puppy, a senior pet, or an animal with specific medical needs, I tailor my care to ensure they feel safe, loved, and cared for in your absence. I work 8 hours shifts from 7:30-3:30 M-F. Most Mondays and Fridays I am scheduled to work remote, however, I have flexibility to move those remote days as needed with my job- except Tuesdays I can not do. Therefore, I can maximize my time being home all day with your loved ones. Also, I can do drop-ins and dog walks anytime after 4:30pm on Tuesday- Thursdays! Open schedule on weekends. I make sure doors and gates are secure, monitor food and water levels, and stay alert to any changes in behavior or health. I have experience working with clients whose pets have complex medication needs such as seizure, anxiety, frequent urinary blockages in male cats and diabetes so I have awareness to common signs and symptoms if they are in distress. I will also follow up with the owner to see if there is any unique patterns or signs their particular pet may express as not every pet is the same as the next. I also provide regular updates—including photos and messages—so you can feel confident your pet is safe, happy, and in loving hands while you’re away

“Pia is wonderful with our kitties and they have the best time with her. It really is comforting to know they are well cared for when I am out of town”

Mason L.
“Mason has lived with animals his entire life. Mostly cats and dogs, but also fish, hamsters, and chickens. He is gentle, kind and compassionate, often sensing intuitively what animals need. Cats seem to be especially drawn to him and he has humorously been called a "cat whisperer". He has cared for family friends' menageries while they are away, helped trap and rescue several local feral cats and kittens, and assisted with treatment of injured and ill pets. He will love your pets and care for them as if they were his own.”

Caroline R.
“Caroline was so amazing with my 2 dogs Rocky and pepper while I was on vacation. She gave them so much love and attention. I cannot think of anyone else to watch my dogs every. Looking forward to using her again.”

Michael M.
“Michael has cared for our dogs and cats numerous times over the years. He is reliable and our animals love him. He is conscientious, follows our instructions for our animals (our older dog and kittens take various medications) and does not hesitate to text to get clarification or give us an update. I also appreciate that he texts us pictures which our family really enjoys while we are away from our pets. We will definitely continue to use him for our pet care.”

North Laurel pet parents share their Rover experiences
This is my second time using Shanae. She is very attentive and gives precise updates during her visits. She will also donthe extras like clean up messes and medication applications if needed. I have always felt my babies were in good hands with her. Thank you!

Fatmata was great with little Salix who is very shy and did not want to come out and play. But Fatmata kept us well informed of Salix's activities -- eating and using the kitty box. Fatmata is very conscientious of all little critters and we would not hesitate at all to use her again. A very high recommend!!!

This was my first experience with Rover and Grace did an exceptional job! She was very friendly, professional, and she went above and beyond with providing care for my cats. I am a scatterbrain, but Grace was able to work with me and follow my instructions no problem. I will definitely keep her in mind for the future :)
