“I booked Siobhan last minute over a busy holiday week, and I seriously couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She took incredible care of my two dogs and I got regular updates, photos, and total peace of mind the entire time. I’m so grateful for her help and will definitely be booking again. Highly recommend!”

“Amy took great care of my dog and cat. I can’t explain what a relief it was to find her. My mini dachshund is 16 years old and I don’t like to bring him into new environments or away from his best friend pelé the cat, so it worked out perfectly. I would highly recommend Amy!”

“Having Lauren care for my cats gave us peace of mind while we were on vacation. With each check in she sent us photos and was always available if we should have any questions. I will certainly be reaching out to her again to check in on my cats for any future vacations.”

“I asked Naomi to help me out last minute this weekend. She was very sweet and has a lot of experience with animals! She took great care of my kitties while I was away for a day. I highly recommend!”

About: I’ve taken responsibility of my own pets in my family for 10 years. Dog sat for my aunt for two years. Grew up with a Border Collie and two Dobermans! Trained my families new edition corgi, chow chow, and kelpie Shepard mix who’s now 2 years of age. I work part time as a college student finishing up my second semester before summer break. I’d love to walk or check in on any furry friends before/after my lectures and final semester!! I provide a safe, calm, and clean environment, following each pet’s routine closely. I respect their individual needs, ensure secure spaces, and give gentle, attentive care with regular updates.
“I am so thankful I found Madison!!! She fed my cat for me twice a day while I was on a long trip in Europe. It was the first time I was leaving him alone for so many days but Madison really put me at ease knowing he was in good hands. She was professional and courteous. She communicated with me throughout my trip to let me know he was doing well. My cat can be a spicy boy but she handled him with ease. She even kept my house tidy and was attentive to taking out trash and brought in a package for me! She was great. I would recommend her a million times and I will gladly book with her again in the future!!!”

About: Hey there! I am new to sitting, but always willing to learn and gain experience :) Happy to take on any type of dog or cat (I have both). My cat is an escape artist, and my dog is insane. I can handle it all. I am free all summer for pet care! There is a short stretch of time in August where i will be away, but other than that, I am excited to meet new pet friends :) I am well versed in crating dogs, as well as keeping an eye on mischievous animals. I will follow any instructions given very carefully and ensure your pet is happy and healthy while you are away.
“Once again, Taylor went above and beyond when caring for our pup. She shared details about her drop-in visits and we loved seeing all the photos she snapped when walking and hanging with him. Taylor is caring and responsible; we feel so at ease when she’s caring for our pup while we are away. We highly recommend her!”

About: I was raised with pets. Since my childhood, I have had cats and dogs. I have also potty trained, provided basic training (walking on leash, not pulling, socialization) for dogs. I am a dog grandma to a cockapoo and pitbull who adore me and drive their parents crazy when I am around because I spoil them. I have experience with dogs, cats and some farm animals (cows, chicken) from my yearly summer visits to Guatemala. Like Children, pets take to me because of my loving nature. I am a nurturer and enjoy the company of animals. There seems to be genuine connections. I enjoy their company, cuddling and talking to them. I will treat your babies as if they were my own. Although, I may not allow pets on furniture, if they are used to it, there is always an exception to the rule. They will always feel as if they were at home. Let's meet and I can guarantee your pet will have a great connection with me. I am available to pet sit at your home or mine. Either way, "mi casa" will be "their casa." I don’t mind cat sitting. However, it would be best to care for them in your home as I recently found out, my live in boyfriend is allergic. I currently work from home 3 times a week and my husband twice a week. We have a spacious backyard and can provide their daily activity as needed. We also have the flexibility to walk our furry friends (as requested). Please note: your pets will have their own space and will get lots of love from us. We have a fenced yard with plenty of space and a friendly furry friend. We are available for a meet and greet before finalizing a booking.
“Samantha was great! She took the time to meet with us before her visits to make sure everything was in order and sent great updates and pictures each day. She was flexible and even able to add on an extra day when our plans changed. Would definitely use her again in the future.”

About: I love all animals! Being an experienced veterinary technician for over 15 years I have experience with all types of animals and love them all! I myself have what we call a mini zoo and it’s always growing!I am available to come to your home up to 4 times per day. We will go on long walks. They will ALWAYS be fed on time. I am comfortable with all breeds. I am also capable and comfortable administering oral and injectable medications. I am available 7 days a week. Whatever you and your pets need! I have 4 dogs, 4 cats, a bearded dragon, 2 frogs, Guinea pig, bunny and a sulcata tortoise of my own so I know how important it is to find someone trustworthy and reliable. I love my animals unconditionally and I would love to have the honor of meeting yours, after all they are part of our families and only deserve the absolute best care. Looking forward to working with you. I hope I can help put your mind at ease while you're working or on vacation. I am more than happy to send as many pictures/videos and updates that you would like to receive! (: I’m currently a stay at home mom of two little boys. I have plenty of time to take care and love all your fur babies Since I’m currently renting we aren’t able to care for your pets just yet in our home but our goal is to open our own facility at some point! My husband also has 10+ years of veterinary experience so that’s why our goal is to open our own facility as we know how important it is to find a place you can trust with your babies! During my visits with your babies I’ll make sure they get all the attention they need and love so they don’t skip a beat while you’re away!
“Karen was a pleasure! so communicative, and was able to provide updates immediately! appreciate all the pictures as well to see Dusty having fun while I am stuck at work!”

“Our cats are our kids and we hate them being lonely and uncomfortable when we are away. Our newest rescue also seems to not like men so much, so this time when we needed a sitter last minute we reached out to Ella and hit the jackpot!! Ella followed all our directions for feeding etc and kept our house clean while we were away...which isn't easy with 2 cats. Our cats, which can be very shy initially, fell in love with Ella and it put us at ease knowing how happy they were with her and how much they looked forward to seeing her. Highly recommend Ella to take care of your pets. She is very responsible, corresponds with you very well, and loves your pets like her own.”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my background in K9 training and management and my genuine passion for working with dogs of all ages and personalities. I’m currently studying at SUNY Cobleskill, so I bring both hands on experience and current training knowledge into my care. I’m especially comfortable with puppies, helping with basics like leash manners, crate training, and building good habits, and I’m also very patient with senior dogs, making sure they stay comfortable and safe. I pay close attention to each dog’s behavior and body language so I can adjust to their needs, whether they’re energetic, shy, or reactive. I’m not just there to watch your dog, I’m there to understand them, support them, and make sure they feel safe and cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits easily into my routine because I’m currently on summer break from SUNY Cobleskill where I study K9 Training and Management, so I have a lot of free time and flexibility in my schedule. This allows me to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day, including walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins. Since working with dogs is something I’m passionate about and studying for, I enjoy making it part of my daily routine and making sure each pet gets the care, exercise, and attention they need while their owners are away. When caring for pets in your home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I follow your instructions closely for feeding, walks, medication if needed, and any specific care the pet requires. I also make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and exercise depending on their energy level and personality.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - North Amityville
I am a senior living with my 5 senior cats. They are my family and their happiness is my happiness. Although I like to travel, I hesitate to ask my son and daughter-in-law to take care of them over and over again while I am out of town. I was planning to visit my other son and his family to see my grandkids in NC. I decided to give a try to drop-in care. After checking all the options, I decided on SARAH based on her background and reviews. What a choice I made; she was excellent, deserving more than 5 stars. First of all, she is an animal lover. My cats have a strong sense if a person likes them or not. They will either come to great that person or totally disappear. Looking at the pictures Sarah provided, they are all around her. Even on her shoulder, hugging. Yes, she sent me plenty of pictures every day, including before and after pictures of their plates, litter boxes, She let me know every detail about their wellbeing even sent me the pictures of throw ups, if she found one. When I was back, I found the house clean and in order. She even took all the garbage out with her. Well, I couldn’t ask anything more from her. I feel very comfortable leaving my cats with her again.
Amy took great care of my dog and cat. I can’t explain what a relief it was to find her. My mini dachshund is 16 years old and I don’t like to bring him into new environments or away from his best friend pelé the cat, so it worked out perfectly. I would highly recommend Amy!

Diego has been doing a great job of taking care of my outdoor kitties for the past several months. My Kitties are a shy bunch, but Diego has been very patient and kind with them, thus helping me to travel without any worries. I would highly recommend Diego to take care of any one's pets while they are away on vacation or for daily visits. Thank again Diego for doing such a great job!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
