About: As w most people here i have a love for animals and am on track for a career in veterinary medicine. I have a dog of my own but also have a wide range of skills with many different animals (rodent, reptiles, various exotics, etc) due to my experience working in and completing a two year BOCES program for veterinary medicine assisting which included dogs and cats ofc. I currently volunteer at a shelter walking the dogs there so I'm equipped to handle dogs of many sizes and temperaments. I also have experience working w cats of various sizes and temperaments from a separate shelter. I'm very good w adjusting my technique and handling for different animals in order to safely and properly handle them in the ways they need/ feel comfortable. Im confident in my skills and always willing to learn/ experience new situations. sooo yea im here☺️ I currently have a part-time job, but it has very flexible hours and while I am a student, I usually take these jobs on during breaks or downtime so I have open availability. I do personally have a fenced backyard and a dog back home usually if I’m hosting another dog I do my best to keep their schedules consistent but separate as my dog is very selective. Usually, I will do pet sitting at the other dog’s house where I can completely make sure that they are comfortable in their environment and follow their routine as close as possible.

About: Hi my name is Jen. I am a huge animal lover. I’ve been a dog and cat owner most of my life. Ive also being the proud owner of ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits and fish. I currently have 2 amazing kitties (2 and 3 yr old) my beloved yorkie passed away last year at the age of 15 from renal failure, she fought for over 2 yrs, my brave little girl. I’ve cared for dogs from 5lbs to 140lbs. I have a lot of patience with animals and treat them as my own. Children and pets are the precious family members who need TLC, which is why I spent most of my adult life in a career caring for both. It is so hard to trust someone to care for your pets while you are away, but be rest assured that you will feel comfortable and at ease with me. Your pet will be cared for as if they are my own. I will let them out to make sure they do their business and play w them as well. If u need me to walk them I will leash them securely and make sure to not have any other dogs come too close unless told otherwise. Leaving your home, I am extremely careful making sure your pets do not slip out the door.

About: Grew around German Sheppards and Chow Chows so super comfortable around larger dogs. I don’t believe all of the negative stereotypes that follow certain breeds. I’ve cared for dogs and cats for my friends and families for many years. About: I had a German shepherd for 11 years who always got treated like royalty; from her cozy bedding for her afternoon naps, to her healthy-quality treats, and even me changing up the route of her walk so she doesn't get bored, are a few things I do for her that keeps her energy and mood up. I have a huge heart and just genuinely care about living things because they have feelings too. Generally, I am a pretty reliable person; I don't have children and Rover Pet Care seems like the perfect position to supplement my schedule with emotional rewards. While caring for pets, I always keep an eye on them at all times (they can get into things that they aren't supposed to sometimes), when walking my dog, I never let her be in control and is trained to walk by my side with obedience. Treats should be given sparingly and after they have listened to a command. Lastly, discipline is important, especially at puppy stages in order for them to know what is right and wrong.
