“Diana was great with our Goldendoodle Clancy. They bonded at the meet and greet and he was very comfortable with her. She gave him a long walk, fed him and sent a ton of pictures. We have a new dog walker! Thank you Diana!”

About: Ive had dogs my entire life. From when i was 4 years old with my very first cockapoo (who lived to be 16 years). To now as a college graduate, with three dogs of my own. All who have different personalities and age ranges. I have a genuine love for dogs and love yours as my own. Two of my current dogs are seniors so im comfortable with handling your old man/lady. Also i have all my dogs since they were puppies. So im used to that chaotic life stage. As a current college graduate (taking a few online classes) my schedule is very flexible. I can come and visit your furry friend almost any time of the day. My own dogs are crated trained as well as i have a fenced backyard. So i feel comfortable putting ur dog in a crate if needed. Im all about the dogs comfort
“Having Karen as our dog walker is such a relief. I never have to worry whether or not she's going to get to my house to walk Kailani. Karen is ultra professional super reliable. I recommend her highly.”

“Ella provided top flight and very loving care for my 12 y/o diabetic miniature schnauzer. Ella goes above and beyond walking, feeding, and giving medicine, she gives hugs, kisses and companionship to my Dillon. On top of all that she checks his water, washes his food bowl and provides a detailed report of their time together. I would absolutely recommend Ella to care for your pet. You will have peace of mind that your pet is safe and well cared for.”

About: As a proud dog owner of two family dogs, I have hands on experience caring for pets every day. Taking care of them has taught me the importance of patience, responsibility, and giving pets the attention they deserve. I have also dog sat for family members and friends, helping with feeding, walks, playtime, and keeping pets comfortable while their owners were away. I genuinely enjoy being around dogs and treat every pet as if they were my own. I am reliable, easy to communicate with, and genuinely passionate about animals. My flexible schedule allows me to be available for last minute bookings, drop in visits, and walks whenever needed. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always follow the pet owner’s instructions and routines to help pets feel comfortable and secure in their familiar environment. I make sure pets have fresh water, are fed on schedule, receive plenty of exercise and attention, and have a clean living space. During walks and outdoor time, I prioritize safety by keeping dogs securely leashed and monitoring their surroundings. I treat every home with respect, keeping it clean and secure while providing dependable and loving care for each pet.
“Stella is always so happy to see Michael ! Always on time and able to handle her puppy energy. He even took her out on Thanksgiving in the rain since I am out of town. I am so glad to have him around when I have to go away for a while, it is always a pleasure working with him!”

About: I've had dogs my whole life, so caring for them comes as naturally to me as anything. When I got my puppy four years ago, I dedicated myself fully to his training and development, spending every day with him through those early months to make sure he grew into the happy, well-behaved dog he is today. I also have experience with the more challenging side of pet care. My older dog had diabetes, and I spent a great deal of time managing his condition, administering medication daily, and making sure his final years were as comfortable and loving as possible. It taught me a lot about patience, attentiveness, and caring for pets with special medical needs. Beyond my own dogs, I've spent years babysitting, walking, and watching dogs for friends and neighbors. Animals have always been drawn to me, as I have a natural calm with them that puts even shy or anxious pets at ease. While I'm new to Rover, I bring a lifetime of hands-on experience. Whether it's a long walk, a trip to the park, or just cuddling up with their favorite toys, I pour real love into every visit. I understand how much your dog means to you, and I'll treat them like my own every single time. I recently graduated from college and will be starting my Master of Social Work program at NYU in September. I am available all summer and have plenty of time to give your pet the attention they deserve! I'm currently based in Plainview, Long Island, where I'm free and flexible for any and all pet care needs throughout the summer. Come September, I'll be living in New York City, where I'll be available for drop-in visits and walks during the week, and open to extended stays on weekends. Whether you're on Long Island or in the city, I'd love to help care for your pup! Your pet's safety and comfort are always my top priority. I have experience both crating and not crating dogs, so I'm happy to follow whatever routine works best for your pup. If needed, I can crate them safely when stepping out, or leave them with a frozen treat and a favorite toy to keep them calm and comfortable, especially if they experience separation anxiety, as my own dog does! I tailor every visit to the individual dog. Whether your pup needs a long, energetic walk or a short and easy stroll, I'll follow their lead. I'm always attentive on walks, making sure they don't pick up anything harmful off the street, and equally watchful in the home to keep them safe and out of trouble. Most importantly, your dog will never be short on love. I'll give them all the pets, cuddles, and attention they could ever want because I truly love animals!!
“Caroline was fantastic!!! Highly recommend her!!! She was very mindful of our doodle on their walk! Lots of pictures! She even let our 2nd much older dog (who can’t walk much) out while she was heading out as a just in case. We’re so thankful!”

“Alec has been wonderful with Aria. He’s reliable, friendly, and truly committed. Even on a day when his car broke down, he still showed up to walk her. I felt completely at ease knowing Aria was in such good hands while I was on retreat. I will continue calling him everytime I need his help.”

About: I've been in love with dogs my entire life. I begged my parents for years until one day when i was 10 we welcomed my best friend teddy into our family. I loved playing with him and caring for him. he was my best friend and i will always love and cherish the time i spent with him! The love I had for my doggo is not unique to me. Countless people have their own dogs they love and care for and i would be honored for the opportunity to meet and work with them. I run my own business from home so my schedule is completely flexible! I'm happy to visit your doggo when ever is most convenient for you and your pup! I will gladly send you photo and video updates of your sweet doggo. i also would be more than happy to play with them using they're favorite toys and don't mind spending any extra time giving them belly scratches while I'm there! I run my own business from home so my schedule is completely flexible! I'm happy to visit your doggo when ever is most convenient for you and your pup! I am available for any care your dog might need. I love walks and i can feed them as well. Hopefully have some play time as well!

I reached out to Abigail super last minute as I had to take a last minute trip and she didn’t hesitate to help. She walked Nala three days straight, followed all instructions, and kept me updated the whole time. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing Nala was in such caring hands while I was away in Florida. I will absolutely book again!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
