“Jada was amazing with my sweet kitties. Her caring nature and compassion made me feel at ease while Away on vacation. Her prompt attention to any requests were quickly made with ease. I knew she was a cat whisperer when she sent sweet pictures of my shy kitty on her very first visit to my home. Even during a holiday weekend, Jada was prompt and attentive. I will definitely be booking with Jada for my next vacation. ❤️”

About: Hi! My name is Hannah, and I’m a lifelong dog lover with experience caring for dogs of many ages, sizes, and breeds. I have two black labs of my own, ages 12 and 5, so I understand the different needs that come with both senior dogs and younger, more active pups. I also have experience caring for a variety of other breeds and age groups. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or just some extra attention and care, I’m committed to making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I live in Massapequa and am available for dog walking and pet care services Monday through Thursday. I’m currently working part time so I have free time to walk, watch, and play with your fur babies! I will watch your dogs at your house and walk them around your neighborhood. I will care for your pets in your own home and/ or walk them around your neighborhood. I am very caring and will keep your pets company and get their energy out by playing with them as needed. I am prepared to crate them as needed and encourage good behavior.
“Paulina was amazing! She was able to accommodate for a last minute request and she did such a great job! I would recommend her 100%, definitely going to be booking again!”

“Samantha was amazing with my puppy Henry! She as patient and kind and kept in contact with me to update me on his status during her drop in visit! I know he’s in good hands with her during his weekly visits”

About: I have had dogs and cats my whole life. I alap have several years experience with reptiles and birds. Over the years, I’ve watched pets overnight at their homes and taken them for walks. I'm a teacher on summer vacation. My cats have someone else to take care of them at home, so I have the ability to work around you and your pets' schedules. I respect the rules laid out by the pet owner. You know best about your pet's needs. I ensure food, bathroom, and all other schedules are followed because consistency is just as important for our pets as it is for us.
About: We are a family of dog lovers! My husband and I both grew up with dogs, and though we don’t have pets currently, our love of dogs keeps us pet sitting and dog walking around our neighborhood. We have 3 young children who absolutely adore dogs, and love taking responsibility in taking care of them when we are pet sitting. We have a lot of snuggles to give your pups, and lots of walks to take them on, too! I am a stay at home mom so our schedule is pretty flexible! We are up early, and outside often. Any timing should be fine for us to work around. We have a fenced in yard with plenty of space for your fur baby. We can play fetch with your pup, give them lots of snuggles, and plenty of walks!
About: I have experience with puppies (basic training, routines) and senior dogs (gentle care, medications), and I treat every pet like my own while keeping owners updated and worry free. Pet care fits naturally into my routine since I work from home, allowing me to give dogs plenty of attention, supervision, and frequent breaks throughout the day. I also occasionally babysit for a friend nearby, which is easy to balance with pet care and never takes me far from the home. This flexibility lets me maintain consistent routines, playtime, and quality care for every pet. I follow each pet’s usual routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. I provide plenty of supervision, playtime, walks, and affection, along with feeding and any special care needed. I keep the environment safe and calm, respect house rules, and share regular updates so owners always know how their pet is doing. 🐾

About: Hi, I’m Mindy — I run MindySits 🐾 I treat every pet like my own, simple as that. I’m patient, reliable, and pay attention to what each dog actually needs. Beyond pet sitting, I’m deeply involved in the rescue community and serve as a Foster Manager with BARRK Rescue, where I help oversee placements, guide fosters, and support dogs coming from difficult or uncertain backgrounds. This experience has given me a strong understanding of behavior, decompression, and how to meet each dog exactly where they are. Whether it’s walks or overnight care, I keep things calm, consistent, and make sure your pet is comfortable and well cared for. I’ll also keep you updated so you’re never wondering how things are going. Dependable care and a happy dog that’s always the goal 💛🐶 Hi! I work a hybrid schedule, home 2 days a week. My husband is home so your pup will rarely be alone. I have always been happiest with a dog close by. I live with my husband, daughter, and our dog Willie 🐾 We’re a calm, dog-loving home and I just really enjoy having animals around. I also help care for a senior dog, so I’m patient, gentle, and pay attention to what each dog needs. I’m easygoing but attentive, and I make sure every dog feels safe and comfortable while they’re with me
“Having Lauren care for my cats gave us peace of mind while we were on vacation. With each check in she sent us photos and was always available if we should have any questions. I will certainly be reaching out to her again to check in on my cats for any future vacations.”

About: I have worked with dogs since I was in middle school. I currently am in the process of getting my dog grooming license and work at an animal shelter at the moment. I have experience with large dogs to small dogs, scared and nervous dogs, Mouthy and jumpy dogs, walking strong pulling dogs, administering medication and Grooming! I am just looking to fill my free time doing something I love and passionate about! I’m currently working part-time at an animal shelter and I just received my dog grooming license. I am flexible with my schedule and only work 3 days a week. I would follow all of the instructions the owner has left. Provide your dog with enrichment, treats and walks. If your puppy is scared or anxious I will sit with them, spending the time trying to gain their trust so it’s a positive experience for both parties involved!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs for my entire life. I have my own dog whom I have trained and take care of. I have worked for Camp Bow Wow where I took care of dogs of all sizes. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I structure my day to include regular walks, feeding times, play sessions, and check-ins to ensure every pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for. Whether it's early morning walks or evening cuddles, I make sure their needs come first. In my client’s home, I follow their pet’s routine closely—feeding, walking, playtime, and any special instructions like medications or training cues. I keep their space clean and safe, and I always give updates with photos and messages for peace of mind. If I’m caring for pets in my own home, I provide a secure, pet-friendly environment with plenty of attention, exercise, and comfort.
About: I’ve been around pets all my life and have a lose cared for them. This allows me to give your fur babies the attention they need. I am able to take them on walks and take time to play with them as well. I live in an apartment but I allow pets to roam free in my home. I do have blankets and toys as well for your pets. My apartment complex has lots of grass where they can run and play as well. “Kaylee not only took care of our dog while we were away but cleaned up after him. He is an older dog and has accidents now. Kaylee is very kind and has left us with a such a good feeling that Jaxson is being treated well while we are traveling !”

“Communication with Lisa was very easy. She arrived within the time window and took care of all of the details My very shy cat actually showed his face when she was around, which is good. When I arrived home, everything was neat and clean I will repeat”

About: As an owner of a hound mix, I will make sure that your fur baby's happiness is a top priority because I would want the same thing for her. Because I'm semi-retired, I would have plenty of time to walk and play with your pup. I'm available most mid-mornings to late afternoons on weekdays with possible availability on Saturdays. I can walk, feed, and play with your pup at your residence if needed. I have worked with a trainer in order to walk on a lead with my dog and would apply those lessons yours. I can also crate your dog if needed.
About: I was raised with pets. Since my childhood, I have had cats and dogs. I have also potty trained, provided basic training (walking on leash, not pulling, socialization) for dogs. I am a dog grandma to a cockapoo and pitbull who adore me and drive their parents crazy when I am around because I spoil them. I have experience with dogs, cats and some farm animals (cows, chicken) from my yearly summer visits to Guatemala. Like Children, pets take to me because of my loving nature. I am a nurturer and enjoy the company of animals. There seems to be genuine connections. I enjoy their company, cuddling and talking to them. I will treat your babies as if they were my own. Although, I may not allow pets on furniture, if they are used to it, there is always an exception to the rule. They will always feel as if they were at home. Let's meet and I can guarantee your pet will have a great connection with me. I am available to pet sit at your home or mine. Either way, "mi casa" will be "their casa." I don’t mind cat sitting. However, it would be best to care for them in your home as I recently found out, my live in boyfriend is allergic. I currently work from home 3 times a week and my husband twice a week. We have a spacious backyard and can provide their daily activity as needed. We also have the flexibility to walk our furry friends (as requested). Please note: your pets will have their own space and will get lots of love from us. We have a fenced yard with plenty of space and a friendly furry friend. We are available for a meet and greet before finalizing a booking.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Farmingdale
Siobhan is absolutely amazing! She took care of my two dogs while I was away, including one who is extremely shy and usually takes a long time to warm up to new people. Siobhan was so patient, kind, and attentive that by the end of the stay, they had become great friends. During my trip, I had an unexpected family emergency and needed to extend my time away. Siobhan was incredibly accommodating and was able to continue caring for my dogs until I returned home, which gave me tremendous peace of mind during a stressful situation. She provided detailed updates and photos after every visit, so I always knew my dogs were happy, safe, and well cared for. She even went above and beyond by bringing in packages that were delivered while I was away. Siobhan is reliable, compassionate, and truly treats your pets like her own. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and will absolutely be booking with her again. Highly recommend!

Abigail was awesome with our two pups! She went above and beyond our expectations and would absolutely use her again when we need a dog sitter/walker. She was flexible and easy to communicate with and took such great care of our dogs. She updated us daily about them and sent us pictures. Thanks so much again! The pups already miss her!
Elaina has been taking care of Max and Coco 4 days a week for several months now and they both just adore her! I have found Elaina to be loving and attentive with both, even getting Max to take his medicine even though he is a pretty stubborn little man! Elaina has been great about communicating with me after each visit and has been super flexible in terms of our schedule. Simply put, you will not find a better friend and care giver for your pet! Thanks Elaina!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
