About: As a proud dog owner of two family dogs, I have hands on experience caring for pets every day. Taking care of them has taught me the importance of patience, responsibility, and giving pets the attention they deserve. I have also dog sat for family members and friends, helping with feeding, walks, playtime, and keeping pets comfortable while their owners were away. I genuinely enjoy being around dogs and treat every pet as if they were my own. I am reliable, easy to communicate with, and genuinely passionate about animals. My flexible schedule allows me to be available for last minute bookings, drop in visits, and walks whenever needed. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always follow the pet owner’s instructions and routines to help pets feel comfortable and secure in their familiar environment. I make sure pets have fresh water, are fed on schedule, receive plenty of exercise and attention, and have a clean living space. During walks and outdoor time, I prioritize safety by keeping dogs securely leashed and monitoring their surroundings. I treat every home with respect, keeping it clean and secure while providing dependable and loving care for each pet.
“Diana is amazing! She is super attentive to every detail, patient, and really cares about making sure our Cookie felt comfortable and taken care of. We have an elderly dog and she understood her needs exactly. Will definitely be requesting Diana’s help again!”

“Amy is the best! She let the cats be themselves and it all worked out perfectly. She sent daily updates with pictures of both Spooky and Cleo, which added to the sense of security we needed. She did a wonderful job and we are so grateful!”

“Siobhan was our cat sitter for a couple of days while we went away to visit family. She was kind and enthusiastic. She took the initiative to come over our house ahead of time to meet the cat and see where we keep things. She was very flexible about our needy cat who just wants to sit on someone’s lap. She was neat about feeding the cat and trash and everything. She’s been very responsive throughout via the Rover texting. Plus, she sent us pictures that included interaction with our cat. We will definitely use her again as a cat sitter.”

“Max is amazing! And Jackson adores him! Max recently came by for a drop in visit. He arrived on time and was able to take Jackson on a much-appreciated walk. Then he spent time playing with Jackson and giving him one of his favorite biscuits!! Max kept me updated on how things were going so I didn’t worry. Great communication. I knew Jackson was in good hands. Max is very dependable and I am so grateful that I found him. He will definitely be coming back to watch Jackson!”

“I am a senior living with my 5 senior cats. They are my family and their happiness is my happiness. Although I like to travel, I hesitate to ask my son and daughter-in-law to take care of them over and over again while I am out of town. I was planning to visit my other son and his family to see my grandkids in NC. I decided to give a try to drop-in care. After checking all the options, I decided on SARAH based on her background and reviews. What a choice I made; she was excellent, deserving more than 5 stars. First of all, she is an animal lover. My cats have a strong sense if a person likes them or not. They will either come to great that person or totally disappear. Looking at the pictures Sarah provided, they are all around her. Even on her shoulder, hugging. Yes, she sent me plenty of pictures every day, including before and after pictures of their plates, litter boxes, She let me know every detail about their wellbeing even sent me the pictures of throw ups, if she found one. When I was back, I found the house clean and in order. She even took all the garbage out with her. Well, I couldn’t ask anything more from her. I feel very comfortable leaving my cats with her again.”

“Janhvi was excellent. The experience felt luxurious with the way she operated. Never missed a visit, pics, vids and full report every time. Would definitely use her services again in the future.”

“Our cats are our kids and we hate them being lonely and uncomfortable when we are away. Our newest rescue also seems to not like men so much, so this time when we needed a sitter last minute we reached out to Ella and hit the jackpot!! Ella followed all our directions for feeding etc and kept our house clean while we were away...which isn't easy with 2 cats. Our cats, which can be very shy initially, fell in love with Ella and it put us at ease knowing how happy they were with her and how much they looked forward to seeing her. Highly recommend Ella to take care of your pets. She is very responsible, corresponds with you very well, and loves your pets like her own.”

“Samantha was great! She took the time to meet with us before her visits to make sure everything was in order and sent great updates and pictures each day. She was flexible and even able to add on an extra day when our plans changed. Would definitely use her again in the future.”

Janhvi provided such great care to my dog, Gracie. She gave Gracie lots of attention and I had such peace of mind that my dog was in excellent hands. I was also grateful that at each visit she notified me and sent photos for me to see how happy Gracie was in her care.
Leaving your pets behind can be stressful, but with Suzanne, I have complete peace of mind. She looks after my two dogs with the exact same love, patience, and attention to detail that I do. She keeps me updated, manages their routines effortlessly, and my pups absolutely adore her—their tails start wagging the second they see her! If you are looking for someone reliable, trustworthy, and genuinely passionate about animals, look no further. I couldn't recommend her more highly!

Stephanie once again cared for my four cats -- this time for 10 days. She is so great to work with. Responsive and responsible. She sent pictures daily, spent time giving my curmudgeonly kitties love and play time, and ultimately allowed me to enjoy my vacation without a single worry. She is just a wonderful.
Abigail was awesome with our two pups! She went above and beyond our expectations and would absolutely use her again when we need a dog sitter/walker. Elaina has been taking care of Max and Coco 4 days a week for several months now and they both just adore her! I have found Elaina to be loving and attentive with both, even getting Max to take his medicine even though he is a pretty stubborn little man! Elaina has been great about communicating with me after each visit and has been super flexible in terms of our schedule. Simply put, you will not find a better friend and care giver for your pet! Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
