Lindsay was an extremely communicative and thoughtful sitter who handled my little pit mix like a pro. She’s a ball of muscle and working on her training currently so while a sweetheart can be a lot to handle, but Lindsay more than managed and kept her occupied and happy while I was away for 3 days. I will certainly be using her services again in the future!

About: I have experience caring for pets through both professional work and personal ownership. I currently provide dog walking and pet care through Wag!, where I’ve worked with dogs of different ages, sizes, and energy levels, including senior dogs and more active breeds. I’ve also had the opportunity to build trust with repeat clients by providing dependable, compassionate care. As a proud cat mom to two cats, I understand the importance of patience, routine, and recognizing each pet’s unique personality. In addition, I’ve volunteered with a cat rescue, where I cared for cats with a wide range of temperaments, cleaned enclosures, socialized cats, and administered oral and topical medications when needed. I also spent a year working at a family-owned pet store that specialized in dogs, cats, and exotic animals, giving me hands-on experience with daily animal care and pet wellness. My goal is to provide every pet with a safe, loving, and stress-free experience while giving pet parents peace of mind. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine because I work remotely, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate quality time to the pets I care for. Since I also drive, I’m able to reliably travel to visits, walks, and drop-ins. I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals, so caring for pets is something I genuinely look forward to each week. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. I believe pets feel happiest in their own home, so I take the time to learn their schedule, feeding routine, exercise needs, and any special instructions before each visit. I always ensure doors, gates, and harnesses are secure, keep a close eye on your pet during walks and playtime, and treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own. I’ll also provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.

I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I treat every dog like they’re my own. I’d love to meet you and your pups! I’m available early mornings, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons, plus most evenings. I’m also comfortable caring for multiple dogs at once. About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life and take pride in providing attentive, active care. I’m certified in behavior analysis which comes in handy when reading what a dog needs in that moment and develop new skills. Being a foster dog mom to a beautiful pitty has also depend my experience with working with different personalities and needs. I love incorporating engaging and enriching activities for my pups to support development and mental stimulation. I’m currently working a full time job Monday through Friday 9 to 5 but, I am also available all day Saturday through Sunday. Monday through Friday I can be free to provide evening walks and potty breaks. On weekends I can provide walks, potty breaks and dog sitting. While I do not provide boarding at my home due to having limited space, I am available to do the dog sitting in your home. In my home with my current foster, it has been important with keeping her schedule consistent to help with her anxiety. This means that I play an important role with sticking to the schedule we have set. We also focus on redirecting her anxiety to preferred activities or toys like her bones or even letting her run it off in the back yard. She is very affectionate so I am also used to giving her lots of praise when she is doing things she is supposed to be doing and giving her lots of hugs when she cues for them.

About: I had a German shepherd for 11 years who always got treated like royalty; from her cozy bedding for her afternoon naps, to her healthy-quality treats, and even me changing up the route of her walk so she doesn't get bored, are a few things I do for her that keeps her energy and mood up. I have a huge heart and just genuinely care about living things because they have feelings too. Generally, I am a pretty reliable person; I don't have children and Rover Pet Care seems like the perfect position to supplement my schedule with emotional rewards. While caring for pets, I always keep an eye on them at all times (they can get into things that they aren't supposed to sometimes), when walking my dog, I never let her be in control and is trained to walk by my side with obedience. Treats should be given sparingly and after they have listened to a command. Lastly, discipline is important, especially at puppy stages in order for them to know what is right and wrong.

Seamus watched my two dogs for a week while I was away and I would not hesitate to recommend him or enlist him to watch our pets again. From the moment we met, I felt comfortable -- Seamus clearly loves animals and they love him. I received photos and updates for each visit with my pets every day, twice a day, and he checked in with me several times outside of any requirements. This was my first time using any service to take care of the boys and it worked out so well!

Lily has been watching our pups and house sitting for us for the last year and we are so lucky to have her! She takes amazing care of our three pups (a very shy and particular husky, a golden, and a super high energy Dutch shepherd). She manages each pups personality beautifully and all three love her, which is a big deal considering our girl dog is very particular with who she lets care for her! We never have to worry when we go away because we know that the dogs love Lily and she has a ton of experience to manage all of the different breeds and their needs! She also takes amazing care of our home and our fish while she’s here! We can’t recommend Lily highly enough!

Siobhan is absolutely amazing! She took care of my two dogs while I was away, including one who is extremely shy and usually takes a long time to warm up to new people. Siobhan was so patient, kind, and attentive that by the end of the stay, they had become great friends. During my trip, I had an unexpected family emergency and needed to extend my time away. Siobhan was incredibly accommodating and was able to continue caring for my dogs until I returned home, which gave me tremendous peace of mind during a stressful situation. She provided detailed updates and photos after every visit, so I always knew my dogs were happy, safe, and well cared for. She even went above and beyond by bringing in packages that were delivered while I was away. Siobhan is reliable, compassionate, and truly treats your pets like her own. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and will absolutely be booking with her again. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Massapequa Park with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
