About: Hi, I’m Mindy — I run MindySits 🐾 I treat every pet like my own, simple as that. I’m patient, reliable, and pay attention to what each dog actually needs. Beyond pet sitting, I’m deeply involved in the rescue community and serve as a Foster Manager with BARRK Rescue, where I help oversee placements, guide fosters, and support dogs coming from difficult or uncertain backgrounds. This experience has given me a strong understanding of behavior, decompression, and how to meet each dog exactly where they are. Whether it’s walks or overnight care, I keep things calm, consistent, and make sure your pet is comfortable and well cared for. I’ll also keep you updated so you’re never wondering how things are going. Dependable care and a happy dog that’s always the goal 💛🐶 Hi! I work a hybrid schedule, home 2 days a week. My husband is home so your pup will rarely be alone. I have always been happiest with a dog close by. I live with my husband, daughter, and our dog Willie 🐾 We’re a calm, dog-loving home and I just really enjoy having animals around. I also help care for a senior dog, so I’m patient, gentle, and pay attention to what each dog needs. I’m easygoing but attentive, and I make sure every dog feels safe and comfortable while they’re with me

Words cannot express how happy we were with the services provided by Seamus. His updates and photos put us at ease that our two cats were being well taken care of. Seamus was attentive and spent quality time with Skittles and Tomasina. When he was concerned about something ( a hairball) Seamus promptly and calmly contacted us. He treated our cats as if they were his own. We will be booking and the cats will be looking forward to their visit from Seamus in the near future.

About: Hi! I'm Lauren :) As a school teacher, responsibility, patience, and safety are naturally built into everything I do, so you can rest assured your pup is in highly capable hands with me. I recently lost my beloved dog and absolute best friend, Charlie, and pet sitting has become my favorite way to channel all that leftover love into spoiling, pampering, and protecting other people's furry family members. I am a new homeowner, which means your dog will get to enjoy a spacious, fully fenced-in backyard that is perfect for safe outdoor playtime, fetch, and afternoon zoomies. Since I am on summer break, my schedule is completely wide open for boarding, housesitting, or check-ins and drop-ins to let your pup out. I know how tough it is to be away from your pets, so I make it a priority to send picture updates throughout the day so you always have total peace of mind. Whether your dog needs a high-energy or calm play space, I cannot wait to welcome them into my new home! I am a teacher, which means I am available all summer long. If your pet needs care in the mornings, evenings, or nights, whatever your schedule needs, I am there! I have a house with a spacious, fenced-in yard. I do not have other pets, so I would love to share my yard with some furry friends. Your pet will be my main focus, receiving lots of love and attention!

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my experience working with dogs in structured, public, and therapeutic settings. I am a high school teacher and regularly bring my certified comfort dog, Darla, into schools and community environments, so I am very comfortable handling dogs around different people, situations, and routines. I am patient, responsible, dependable, and focused on making every pet feel safe, comfortable, active, and loved while in my care. How does pet care fit into your daily or weekly routine? Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I already spend a lot of time caring for and working with dogs. I am a high school teacher, which gives me a consistent schedule during the school year and full availability during summers and school breaks. My schedule allows me to provide reliable walks, drop-ins, playtime, feeding, and attention throughout the week. I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals, so pet care is something I genuinely enjoy making part of my routine. I always focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible. I follow all feeding, walking, medication, and care instructions carefully, and I pay close attention to each pet’s personality and needs. I make sure pets get plenty of exercise, supervision, affection, and clean water while maintaining a calm and trustworthy environment in both my home and my client’s home.

About: I’ve worked with pets of all ages, sizes, and energy levels—from playful puppies to slow-paced seniors. I tailor my care to each animal’s unique needs, whether that means reinforcing good leash manners, sticking to medication schedules, or simply providing comfort and consistency while you’re away. What sets me apart: • Experience with puppy training basics (crate time, potty schedules, leash work) • Comfortable with senior care, including slow walks, joint supplements, and extra TLC • Clear, consistent communication with photo updates you’ll actually look forward to • Flexible scheduling and a calm, confident approach to any surprises Every pet is different—I pride myself on learning their quirks, respecting their routines, and becoming a familiar, trusted presence while you’re gone. Pet care is my main focus and part of my daily routine—I do it often and love every minute of it! My schedule is flexible, which means I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and overnight stays throughout the week. Your pet’s needs are my priority, and I make sure they get consistent, loving care whenever you need it. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, their safety and comfort come first. I follow all care instructions closely, keep environments clean and pet-friendly, and never leave animals unattended in unsafe situations. Siobhan is absolutely amazing! She took care of my two dogs while I was away, including one who is extremely shy and usually takes a long time to warm up to new people. Siobhan was so patient, kind, and attentive that by the end of the stay, they had become great friends. During my trip, I had an unexpected family emergency and needed to extend my time away. Siobhan was incredibly accommodating and was able to continue caring for my dogs until I returned home, which gave me tremendous peace of mind during a stressful situation. She provided detailed updates and photos after every visit, so I always knew my dogs were happy, safe, and well cared for. She even went above and beyond by bringing in packages that were delivered while I was away. Siobhan is reliable, compassionate, and truly treats your pets like her own. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and will absolutely be booking with her again. Highly recommend!

Sydney was great. We were very apprehensive about leaving Penny alone. We were going away and our usual sitter had a last-minute change of plans. She doesn't do well boarding anywhere so we had Sydney stop in to dogsit. She was great with communication and did everything we asked to make our dog feel more comfortable with us not being home. I would 100% have her do this again if we needed. Thank you.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
