About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs and other animals throughout my whole childhood and now I have my own cat that has been my best friend for about 12 years! I’m a full time Mental HealthCare worker and part time student but I do have lots of free time that I would love to fill with some of my own personal form of pet therapy ! I work 7am - 3pm, 5 days a week and am more than willing to spend the rest of my evening taking care of your loved ones ! I live in a house with my cat, and I will be more than happy to keep your pet and my pet in separate rooms, if there were to stay in my home.

About: I had a German shepherd for 11 years who always got treated like royalty; from her cozy bedding for her afternoon naps, to her healthy-quality treats, and even me changing up the route of her walk so she doesn't get bored, are a few things I do for her that keeps her energy and mood up. I have a huge heart and just genuinely care about living things because they have feelings too. Generally, I am a pretty reliable person; I don't have children and Rover Pet Care seems like the perfect position to supplement my schedule with emotional rewards. While caring for pets, I always keep an eye on them at all times (they can get into things that they aren't supposed to sometimes), when walking my dog, I never let her be in control and is trained to walk by my side with obedience. Treats should be given sparingly and after they have listened to a command. Lastly, discipline is important, especially at puppy stages in order for them to know what is right and wrong.

About: What sets me apart is the personal care and attention I give to every pet. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach—I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, routine, and individual needs. I’m dependable, attentive, and experienced with dogs and cats of different ages, personalities, and care requirements. I also believe communication with pet parents is just as important as caring for their pets, so I provide updates and photos to keep you informed and at ease. My goal is for every pet to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. I care for every pet as an individual, following their normal routine and giving them plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection. I make sure they are fed and cared for according to their owner’s instructions, have fresh water, and receive any medications or special care they need. I also pay close attention to their behavior and comfort so I can recognize if something seems unusual. Most importantly, I want every pet to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re in my care. I keep their families updated so they can feel confident knowing their pets are happy and well cared for. Pet care is a big part of my daily life, both personally and professionally. I run my own pet-sitting and dog-walking business, so caring for animals is something I genuinely love and am committed to every day. My schedule is built around providing walks, drop-in visits, overnight care, feeding, medication, playtime, and plenty of attention to the pets in my care. I enjoy getting to know each pet’s individual personality and routine and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their families are away.

About: As w most people here i have a love for animals and am on track for a career in veterinary medicine. I have a dog of my own but also have a wide range of skills with many different animals (rodent, reptiles, various exotics, etc) due to my experience working in and completing a two year BOCES program for veterinary medicine assisting which included dogs and cats ofc. I currently volunteer at a shelter walking the dogs there so I'm equipped to handle dogs of many sizes and temperaments. I also have experience working w cats of various sizes and temperaments from a separate shelter. I'm very good w adjusting my technique and handling for different animals in order to safely and properly handle them in the ways they need/ feel comfortable. Im confident in my skills and always willing to learn/ experience new situations. sooo yea im here☺️ I currently have a part-time job, but it has very flexible hours and while I am a student, I usually take these jobs on during breaks or downtime so I have open availability. I do personally have a fenced backyard and a dog back home usually if I’m hosting another dog I do my best to keep their schedules consistent but separate as my dog is very selective. Usually, I will do pet sitting at the other dog’s house where I can completely make sure that they are comfortable in their environment and follow their routine as close as possible.

Words cannot express how happy we were with the services provided by Seamus. His updates and photos put us at ease that our two cats were being well taken care of. Seamus was attentive and spent quality time with Skittles and Tomasina. When he was concerned about something ( a hairball) Seamus promptly and calmly contacted us. He treated our cats as if they were his own. We will be booking and the cats will be looking forward to their visit from Seamus in the near future.

About: I have experience caring for pets through both professional work and personal ownership. I currently provide dog walking and pet care through Wag!, where I’ve worked with dogs of different ages, sizes, and energy levels, including senior dogs and more active breeds. I’ve also had the opportunity to build trust with repeat clients by providing dependable, compassionate care. As a proud cat mom to two cats, I understand the importance of patience, routine, and recognizing each pet’s unique personality. In addition, I’ve volunteered with a cat rescue, where I cared for cats with a wide range of temperaments, cleaned enclosures, socialized cats, and administered oral and topical medications when needed. I also spent a year working at a family-owned pet store that specialized in dogs, cats, and exotic animals, giving me hands-on experience with daily animal care and pet wellness. My goal is to provide every pet with a safe, loving, and stress-free experience while giving pet parents peace of mind. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine because I work remotely, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate quality time to the pets I care for. Since I also drive, I’m able to reliably travel to visits, walks, and drop-ins. I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals, so caring for pets is something I genuinely look forward to each week. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. I believe pets feel happiest in their own home, so I take the time to learn their schedule, feeding routine, exercise needs, and any special instructions before each visit. I always ensure doors, gates, and harnesses are secure, keep a close eye on your pet during walks and playtime, and treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own. I’ll also provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.

About: Hi! I’m Oli, a recent grad with almost ten years of experience petsitting. I’m back on Rover for the first time in a while after some of my long-term clients moved/had kids & aren’t in need of a sitter as frequently as before, and I’m looking forward to building relationships with new clients and making friends with your pets. I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have experience taking care of dogs & cats of all ages and sizes with varying levels of needs, including rescues with significant anxiety/trauma and seniors with medical issues/cognitive decline. I can also maintain/clean freshwater fish tanks, and although I have minimal experience with exotic pets, I do have some familiarity with their needs and am quick & eager to learn more if you have any! Thanks so much for checking out my profile & considering me to take care of your non-human family members :^) I’m currently looking for work (great job market right now!!) and generally have a lot of free time. I’m mostly available during weekends and overnight during the week (when I know 100% that someone will be home to take care of Spencer), but I’m good to arrange weekday visits too!! Unfortunately, I cannot board your pet(s) in my home currently — my 14 y/o dog Spencer is ever-so-slightly senile and has developed some issues with reactivity & resource guarding

About: I've had pets my whole life. As I child i've had a dog and 2 cats. When I was 21 I got my first dog and 6 years later I adopted another fur baby. Ive trained these 2 dogs since they were puppies and they are very well house trained and lease trained. I have pet sit on many occasions. I schedule feeding times, walks, play sessions, and grooming as needed throughout the day. It's all about balance and ensuring that the pets in my care receive the attention and care they need while also managing other responsibilities. This consistency helps maintain a stable and happy environment for the pets. In both cases, creating a safe and comfortable environment is key. In my own home, I ensure there are designated areas for feeding, resting, and playtime. I stick to their usual routine as much as possible to minimize stress. For clients' homes, I follow their instructions closely, maintain cleanliness, and provide updates on the pet's well-being. Whether in my home or theirs, the pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection.

I cannot recommend Amy highly enough! As a first-time traveler leaving my dog Wawa behind, I was incredibly anxious, but Amy completely alleviated all my worries. When Wawa was having some issues during the stay, she went completely above and beyond, frequently extending her scheduled visits just to make sure my little Shih Tzu was safe and comfortable. On top of the exceptional care, Amy’s summary report cards were an absolute highlight of my trip; her fantastic prose and incredible comedic timing made them super funny and a joy to read. I felt completely at ease knowing Wawa was in such dedicated, compassionate hands.

Lily has been watching our pups and house sitting for us for the last year and we are so lucky to have her! She takes amazing care of our three pups (a very shy and particular husky, a golden, and a super high energy Dutch shepherd). She manages each pups personality beautifully and all three love her, which is a big deal considering our girl dog is very particular with who she lets care for her! We never have to worry when we go away because we know that the dogs love Lily and she has a ton of experience to manage all of the different breeds and their needs! She also takes amazing care of our home and our fish while she’s here! We can’t recommend Lily highly enough!

Sydney was great. We were very apprehensive about leaving Penny alone. We were going away and our usual sitter had a last-minute change of plans. She doesn't do well boarding anywhere so we had Sydney stop in to dogsit. She was great with communication and did everything we asked to make our dog feel more comfortable with us not being home. I would 100% have her do this again if we needed. Thank you.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Massapequa Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Massapequa Park with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
