“Amy took great care of my dog and cat. I can’t explain what a relief it was to find her. My mini dachshund is 16 years old and I don’t like to bring him into new environments or away from his best friend pelé the cat, so it worked out perfectly. I would highly recommend Amy!”

“I booked Siobhan last minute over a busy holiday week, and I seriously couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She took incredible care of my two dogs and I got regular updates, photos, and total peace of mind the entire time. I’m so grateful for her help and will definitely be booking again. Highly recommend!”

About: I’m an avid animal lover with years of hands-on experience and you can rest assured when your pets are in my care! I’ve worked as a dog handler for an animal shelter and as a professional dog walker and pet sitter before starting my own business. I now proudly operate Wander Paws LLC, my fully insured pet care company, which I’ve been running independently for over six years. All pet care services are delivered personally by me, because your pets deserve familiar care and happy routines. Many of my clients have been with me for years, and I’ve had the joy of caring for several of their pets since puppyhood! Over time, I’ve looked after countless dogs, cats, and other small animals of all breeds, ages, and temperaments while their parents are home or away. I’m 27 years old and I am focused on building my business! I truly love spending my time taking care of your pets. And when I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my own pack of pets at home: three dogs (a shepherd mix, a lab mix, and a terrier mix) and five rescue cats😊 I would love to provide all your pet care needs, from walks and playtime to feedings and medication. I’m also comfortable with light household tasks like handling keys, operating security systems, scooping litter boxes, bringing in mail, cleaning up pet messes, and keeping your home safe and secure. I will precisely follow the instructions and routines you provide. As a lifelong pet owner, I understand how important it is to leave your pets in the care of someone you trust. I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own, with plenty of love, consistency, and attention to detail. 💛 Flat rate care: I never charge extra for multiple pets or puppies. Medication, feeding, and special routines included. ✨ Don’t hesitate to reach out to schedule a free meet & greet. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets! AVAILABILITY: I have a daily schedule of dog walking & pet sitting Mondays-Fridays and I am now accepting new clients! I try my best to be very flexible, so please reach out and let me know what times you might need pet care and I will do my absolute best to accommodate whatever you might need. SAFETY: My clients’ safety, (both pets & people!), is my upmost priority. When going for walks, I will make sure your dog(s) is harnessed/leashed up extremely securely. Most of the time, I will attach their leash to BOTH their collar and their harness so if there is ever a product malfunction, they won’t ever get loose. I will walk your fur baby with my full attention and will not allow them to greet other dogs on their walk unless I am 100% sure that both dogs are friendly. I completely avoid any loose dogs that we might see on our walks to avoid confrontation. When letting your pets in the yard, I will always make sure that the gate(s) are securely closed before letting them out. If you have indoor cats, I will make sure they are safe inside of your home at ALL times. I will only feed your pets treats & food that you provide to avoid any allergic reactions. I triple check that all doors to your home are locked while I take your dog(s) out for a walk and after I leave. I am comfortable using any security systems you might have to ensure that your home is completely secure. If you confine your dog to a space for their safety while you are not home, (crate, room, playpen, etc.), I will also triple check that they are secured in that space before I leave. I will do everything in my power to make you & your pet(s) feel as comfortable as possible. Please communicate any safety concerns you might have with me. Your peace of mind is my top priority!

About: I’ve taken responsibility of my own pets in my family for 10 years. Dog sat for my aunt for two years. Grew up with a Border Collie and two Dobermans! Trained my families new edition corgi, chow chow, and kelpie Shepard mix who’s now 2 years of age. I work part time as a college student finishing up my second semester before summer break. I’d love to walk or check in on any furry friends before/after my lectures and final semester!! I provide a safe, calm, and clean environment, following each pet’s routine closely. I respect their individual needs, ensure secure spaces, and give gentle, attentive care with regular updates.
About: I’ve worked with pets of all ages, sizes, and energy levels—from playful puppies to slow-paced seniors. I tailor my care to each animal’s unique needs, whether that means reinforcing good leash manners, sticking to medication schedules, or simply providing comfort and consistency while you’re away. What sets me apart: • Experience with puppy training basics (crate time, potty schedules, leash work) • Comfortable with senior care, including slow walks, joint supplements, and extra TLC • Clear, consistent communication with photo updates you’ll actually look forward to • Flexible scheduling and a calm, confident approach to any surprises Every pet is different—I pride myself on learning their quirks, respecting their routines, and becoming a familiar, trusted presence while you’re gone. Pet care is my main focus and part of my daily routine—I do it often and love every minute of it! My schedule is flexible, which means I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and overnight stays throughout the week. Your pet’s needs are my priority, and I make sure they get consistent, loving care whenever you need it. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, their safety and comfort come first. I follow all care instructions closely, keep environments clean and pet-friendly, and never leave animals unattended in unsafe situations. I respect your home like it’s my own—locking up securely, tidying up after visits, and making sure your pet feels relaxed and loved the entire time you’re away. I also give regular updates so you can feel confident and connected, knowing your pet is happy, safe, and in good hands.
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my background in K9 training and management and my genuine passion for working with dogs of all ages and personalities. I’m currently studying at SUNY Cobleskill, so I bring both hands on experience and current training knowledge into my care. I’m especially comfortable with puppies, helping with basics like leash manners, crate training, and building good habits, and I’m also very patient with senior dogs, making sure they stay comfortable and safe. I pay close attention to each dog’s behavior and body language so I can adjust to their needs, whether they’re energetic, shy, or reactive. I’m not just there to watch your dog, I’m there to understand them, support them, and make sure they feel safe and cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits easily into my routine because I’m currently on summer break from SUNY Cobleskill where I study K9 Training and Management, so I have a lot of free time and flexibility in my schedule. This allows me to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day, including walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins. Since working with dogs is something I’m passionate about and studying for, I enjoy making it part of my daily routine and making sure each pet gets the care, exercise, and attention they need while their owners are away. When caring for pets in your home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I follow your instructions closely for feeding, walks, medication if needed, and any specific care the pet requires. I also make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and exercise depending on their energy level and personality.
“Having Lauren care for my cats gave us peace of mind while we were on vacation. With each check in she sent us photos and was always available if we should have any questions. I will certainly be reaching out to her again to check in on my cats for any future vacations.”

My husband also has 10+ years of veterinary experience so that’s why our goal is to open our own facility as we know how important it is to find a place you can trust with your babies! During my visits with your babies I’ll make sure they get all the attention they need and love so they don’t skip a beat while you’re away!
“Our cats are our kids and we hate them being lonely and uncomfortable when we are away. Our newest rescue also seems to not like men so much, so this time when we needed a sitter last minute we reached out to Ella and hit the jackpot!! Ella followed all our directions for feeding etc and kept our house clean while we were away...which isn't easy with 2 cats. Our cats, which can be very shy initially, fell in love with Ella and it put us at ease knowing how happy they were with her and how much they looked forward to seeing her. Highly recommend Ella to take care of your pets. She is very responsible, corresponds with you very well, and loves your pets like her own.”

About: Hi! I’m Hallie. I am a lifelong dog lover who understands how important it is to trust someone with your pets. I grew up around dogs and currently have two of my own who are basically my whole world. Because I’m a dog parent myself, I know how much care, patience, and attention each dog deserves. I’m very active and love long walks, beach walks, and getting outside, so your dog will get plenty of exercise and attention. I’m comfortable with different personalities and energy levels, including dogs who may be a little shy, reactive, or still learning the ropes. One of my own dogs is a rescue, so I’m very patient and experienced with dogs who need a little extra reassurance and confidence building on walks. Safety and communication are really important to me, so I always make sure dogs feel secure, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I’m happy to send updates, photos, and videos so you can feel at ease knowing your pup is having a great time. Whether your dog needs a fun walk, some company during the day, or extra attention while you’re away, I’ll treat them like one of my own! Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine because I have two dogs of my own. My days revolve around walks, exercise, and making sure they’re happy and well cared for, so adding additional walks or drop-in visits fits very naturally into my schedule. I’m active, reliable, and love spending time outside with dogs of all energy levels. I care for every pet like they’re my own. I follow their normal routine for feeding, walks, and playtime so they feel comfortable while you’re away. I’m attentive, patient, and always prioritize safety, and I’m happy to send updates and photos so you know your pet is in good hands.

About: Hi! I’ve had dogs in my life since I was 10—mostly golden retrievers growing up, and now I have a 5-year-old corgi named Monty. I work from home Monday through Friday, so I’m always looking for an excuse to take a break from my desk and get outside. I’m available for dog walks, drop-in visits, play sessions, or staying in your home while you’re away to keep your pet company and give them a little vacation of their own. I also love cats and have fostered both dogs and cats in NYC over the last several years. Excited to meet your furry friend! I work from home Monday through Friday, so pets are woven into my entire day, not just squeezed in before and after. I take regular breaks throughout the day and genuinely look forward to getting outside for long walks and fresh air. Having a four-legged companion along makes those breaks the best part of the day. I can accommodate multiple walks, check-ins, feeding times, or playtime sessions on whatever schedule your pet is used to. Whether I'm watching your pet in your home or mine, my goal is simple: keep their routine as normal as possible so they barely notice you're gone. I'm available for overnight stays in your home and am equally comfortable with crate-trained dogs or pets who have free roam. I'll follow your lead on feeding schedules, exercise needs, favorite toys, and any house rules you have in place. Because I work from home, I can adapt my schedule on the fly. More walks on a rainy day when your pup is restless, a quieter afternoon for a senior dog who needs rest. I treat every pet like they're my own, and I'll send updates and photos so you always know they're happy and in good hands.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
