I have two dogs and a cat of my own, so I know how important your pets are to your family as mine are to me and my family. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with dogs of all sizes, from large breeds like Labrador Retrievers to smaller ones like French Bulldogs. I’ve also spent time working at an animal shelter, where I primarily cared for small dogs and puppies. My responsibilities included feeding, administering medication, walking, cleaning, bathing, and helping socialize the dogs. During that time, I gained valuable experience working with senior dogs and pups with disabilities, learning how to provide the extra care and attention they deserve. My babysitting hours are limited to a few afternoons after school, and most of my classes are online, which gives me a flexible schedule. This means I have plenty of availability during the weekdays to care for your furry friends—and I’m completely free on weekends! I will not be offering boarding at my house mainly due to my dogs safety. If I am watching the pets at your home I will make sure to follow each and every rule given to me. My main concern is your pets safety so I will do everything in my power to keep them safe and comfortable. Also although I do offer same day bookings I require that I have at least a two hour notice as it is hard for me to drop whatever I have going on in a short amount of time.

I have over 15 years of caring for animals- I am from Michigan originally and grew up on a farm taking care of chickens, horses, cats, dogs, and small animals. I love my job and taking care of people, but I miss being around animals as well. Due to me being a travel nurse, care must be provided at your home. I only work 3 days a week, with one being remotely. I look forward to taking care of your fur baby! -Kate I only work 3 days a week, one being remotely, and I can always leave during my lunch hour so I can provide breaks every 4 hours to your fur baby. Keeping your dog’s routine is important! I can adapt to their schedule / maintain it. I miss being around dogs so giving them lots of attention, pets, and love will be easy for me.

“There is nobody I could recommend more for a job being a caregiver to pets than Shannen. Since I’ve known her, she’s always been an animal lover. I have seen first hand the affection she shows towards all animals. Her family has always had a dog, and she was the main caregiver. She would dogsit for our old tenant on a daily basis when he would go to work. Shannen is also very active in the community, volunteering to work with children through the PAL (Police Athletic League). Having a wide open schedule keeps her free throughout the day to stay both active and focused. We had a Guinea pig, and it lived a life of luxury thanks to the time and care Shannen would give to him.”
