Marsha was a lifesaver! We booked her just hours before we needed her. She was available both times for two days. Our girls really loved the attention, play time and loves she gave. We felt like she treated our 2 girl pups like they were her own. We will definitely be using Marsha again.

About: My motto is that it's my responsibility to make sure that each dog feels the most comfortable, loved, and most importantly safe in the short time I have them. Every day that I'm with your pup, I keep that motto at the forefront of my mind. I know how important dogs are to our lives, so it's my duty to make sure that your pup gets to experience the same kind of love and care that they're used to at home. I'm an out of state college student who has three larger dog breeds at home that I miss so much. And I’ve grown up around dogs all my life so making pups as happy as I can and taking care of them just come second nature for me! Although I've been a lifelong dog lover, my experience with pups is much more far-reaching than that. I recently have over 2 years of volunteering experience at a no-kill animal shelter called “City of Norman Animal Welfare” and I’m hoping to take my lived experience and activism with animals into a summer job. I've worked with dogs big and small and loved taken care of all of them equally. I've also been trained in Pet First Aid and am experienced administering medication. When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It's a great way to make sure that we're all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your pup, their needs, and your care expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do, so it's always great to chat with owners in person about what makes their pup tick! Finally, I just love meeting new dogs!! like to get down on their level to show them that I'm a welcome presence here to make friends, and I'm sure we'll be best buddies in no time at all. I know how difficult it is to be away from your best friend, so communication is the name of my game. I'll make sure to send plenty of regular updates with accompanying pictures so you can see just how much fun your pup and I are having together <3 Note: Might do cats in the future, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve grown allergic so Benadryl is a must. I am currently working an internship at a museum with very flexable hours for the summer giving me lots of time to play and walk your pups! With the internship I just need to work 12 hours a week but can come and go from the museum as I like and can take an hour off for lunch, work only 2 days a week, only work early mornings, it is truely amazing having such an independent schedule, which is why I thought dog sitting & walking would be a great idea. Would love to do boarding/doggy daycare, like I said in my bio, I miss my dogs at home so much so giving some weekend love to yours won’t be a problem. But I do live in an apartment and having any animal for longer than a week without having them registered with the building would be against my lease, so I cannot do super long sleepovers :( My entire apartment complex is fenced in but because theres other people they would be on a leash, but theres PLENTY of grass to go potty and frolic. We also have a large yard in the center of the apartment complex where they can run and stretch their legs off leash. While all dogs are outside on or off leash they will NEVER leave my sight regardless of have a history of running away or not. Love playing fetch with dogs and rewarding good behavoir with lots of treats. (Dietary concerns considered) I drive a toyota highlander SUV with plenty of space for transporting your pups and making sure they’re secure and totally safe. Just like watching your dogs transporting them should be done with the utmost care and I have a squeaky clean drivng record. I currently do not have a crate at my apartment, but dogs generally feel most comfortable in their own bedding especially in a new unfamilar environment, if you’d allow me to bring it from your home and return it with your pet. There’s plenty of space in the apartment, but I’d only sit about three large dogs at a time to allow plenty of playtime space or incase they get the zoomies. Dog beds or crates can be in the livingroom or my bedroom wherever your pet is most comfortable sleeping. I am also comfortable washing dogs after having multiple sessions with them to gauge temperment. A lot of dogs get anxious with baths and I am more then comfortable handling that and have multiple times in the past, but I do not need to put myself in harms way dealing with aggressive untrained dogs. Nonetheless I understand that for a lot of middle aged dog parents bathing dogs is tedious and can hurt your back, so I am happy to provide a clean pup for an additional tip! (Skin concerns considered with products used)

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life! From birth to graduation, I’ve always had a pet to look after. There’s nothing I can’t handle. Whether you have an old pooch with a laundry list of instructions or a brand-new puppy, it’s nothing I haven’t dealt with. I also volunteer at a Red Dirt Boxers, where I frequently stay the night and have even delivered and taken care of newborn puppies that had to be fed every 2 hours (yes, including at night, hah). I’ve pet-sat (overnight house-sitting experience included) for a multitude of people before, so this is nothing new to me. I can also safely and properly administer insulin (I had a dietetic dog for 3 years). I work part-time at the moment and attend college at the University of Oklahoma. I frequently walk my dog before andafter my shifts and feed it at a strict time. I can be as flexible with you as you are with me! I will follow every instructions to an absolutely T. I am extremely careful to make sure absolutely everything asked of me is done. This includes things outside of pet care as I will water plants, take out trash, clean ect. When you come back to your home , I will do my absolute best to make sure it was like no one was there. I will also write you a note detailing how the stay/care went and will go into detail over any mishaps or misbehavior experienced.

About: Dogs are a man's best friend. Be it small, medium, or big dogs, they are every person's precious fur baby. I have taken care of my family's dogs for years as well as friends and neighbors. From Pugs to Great Danes, I have a wide variety of dogs I have cared for and loved. I currently work part time, so fitting in some time to play with and walk pets will be no problem for me. I am typically available after 3 PM, but please feel free to reach out if you are looking for a different time! Keeping pets loved and happy has always been a goal for me. I enjoy being active, so when animals have those bursts of energy I like to play it all off! However, if a pet is showing that they want space to themselves, that is okay. Whatever they need is what I am willing to provide.

About: Grew-up around dogs and looking after neighbors/friends’ pets! Have had experience taking care of both puppies and senior dogs; small and larger breeds. I am comfortable and familiar with a wide range of dog behaviors (e.g. energetic, skittish, chill, anxious, etc.) And I absolutely love to be outside walking and/or running with them, so I can exercise your energetic pup in addition to sitting. Can do some easy, unofficial training if desired - sit, stay, lay down, leash-walking, etc. Can administer oral or topical medication. Additionally, I am a college student so my hours are a bit more flexible! Especially during the summertime. Currently working only part-time (Tues/Thurs), so my hours are pretty flexible and open. I cannot currently board pets in my own home but am more than happy to do multiple check-ins, walks, play dates, etc. a day for however long your pup needs to thrive and feel happy, healthy, and safe. I am extremely clean, dependable, and understand that the rules and expectations you have of me for your precious pet always come first! All pets, homes, and clients are treated with the utmost kindness and respect. Again, your rules/expectations are of utmost importance to me when checking-in on, playing with, and walking your dog. I am diligent in their specific feeding, potty, and exercise routines, as well as to their safety (taking caution that all gates/doors are shut or when walking in new areas, etc.).

About: I’ve taken care of a variety of breeds, littles to bigs, all ages, starting since I was young kiddo. Dogs are drawn to me and feel safe. I don’t know how, but I’ve never met a dog who wasn’t okay with me. I’m excited to feed, walk and play with your pets! I’ve never had any problems. I was at the birth of 3 litters of puppies and raised them until a forever home was found. I have 4 mini aussies who are full of energy and wonderment. I also love to dote on my parents’ senior pets. It’s a gift that pets naturally like me! I have a calm disposition until I learn your pet’s vibe and adapt to that. My clients will tell you that your pet is in great hands! I work from home so I’m flexible to your pet’s needs and habits. I have time to play and/or walk your pups as long as you’d like, whenever you’d like! I provide a safe environment for your pups! I have 4 friendly mini aussies and a doggy door out to a fenced yard. I live in a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors. I can always send my dogs to my parents’ house if need be. About: Ever since I was little I have had a passion for caring and loving animals! When I was just 13 years old, I started my own pet sitting company and I’ve been doing it ever since. I have taken care of very old and injured dogs as well as newborn puppies. I love them all:) I am currently in college and have a very flexible schedule. The only time I have class is MWF from 10am-3pm. Tuesdays and Thursdays no class! I like for the animals to be inside with me, when I am out or inside the house. If I let them out, I like to be outside watching them most of the times. They are always welcome to be inside with me whenever they want.

I am available everyday except Sunday and Wednesday. If I do long days or overnights I would have to leave to check on my own cat but it would be for a short amount of time I will always put the animals needs first before my own. So happy with my decision to use this site and I picked just the right person to take care of Andy while I was away. He is not really comfortable with strangers but Autumn took the time and patience to make him feel good with my absence and it took my worry away about leaving him. She made sure all his needs were taken care of and the pictures she took let me know everything was fine. She is totally awesome!! And to add she is very trust worthy with the security of your home. Highly recommend her!!

About: I’ve always loved animals and really enjoy getting to know each pet and their individual personality. I’m responsible, dependable, and understand how important it is to have someone you trust taking care of your pets while you’re away. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, keeping up with routines, and giving pets plenty of attention and love. I’m also happy to send pictures and updates so you know how your pet is doing! I’m available before and after classes, in the evenings, and on weekends for walks, drop-in visits, and overnight stays. I’m organized with my schedule and can plan ahead to make sure your pet gets the attention, exercise, and care they need! I want every pet to feel safe and comfortable while they’re in my care, whether that’s in my home or theirs. I always follow the owner’s instructions and try to keep pets as close to their normal routine as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any house rules they’re used to. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and make sure everything is secure when coming and going. I also pay close attention to each pet’s personality and comfort level and am happy to send pictures and updates so owners can feel comfortable knowing their pet is safe and well cared for!

About: Hi my name is Randen. I am a US Army veteran and OU alumni. I have a flexibile schedule and plenty of time to give your pet a lot of attention. I’ve grown up with, and taken care of dogs of all sorts and sizes. From my two loveable 12 lbs Bischon Havanese (Kari and Nana), to my 115 lbs drool monster ST Bernard (Ally). If your dog is a free spirit who can run for days or a chill dude that wants to sit in the grass and get some sun, I’m here to help. I have also assisted with medication applications - whether it be pill form or eye drops. If your pet has any special needs I will be patient and careful with them, just inform me of what is required. Looking forward to meeting you and becoming your fur babies new best friend.

About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was six years old when I fell in love with animals, since then I have taken care of neighbors and friends pets when they have been unable to. I know the stress and fear that come with having to leave your babies at home. I strive to be someone who can give your pets love and care so when you are away you can know they are safe and happy so you won’t need to worry and can come home safe and smother you babies with love for the time you were away. I am not currently working and have plenty of time to take care of pets. I am available weekdays and weekends (Sundays included) morning till night. No matter what animal or breed I always give animals the love and care they deserve. I have experience with shy and mildly aggressive pets and know how to care for them with both our safety in mind. I also have light experience in dog training and handling.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Norman with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Norman. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
