About: Hi! I would love any experience and I love all animals. I also have a very flexible schedule! I would love to help anyone I can! I can help out most days of the week. Mostly mornings or afternoons, but working during the day on the weekends works perfectly for me! I love all animals and treat any I meet like my own! I would not mind having to respectfully visit client’s homes if that is needed!
“Julia was incredible with our Princess Ewok! I will definitely book with her in the future. The updates and daily pics were just what I needed everyday to give me peace of mind. Julia knew exactly what was needed with our older cat-lots of love (of course, on cat terms)”

About: I'm a dog mom myself & I treat every dog with the exact same love, patience, and care that I give my own. I understand that leaving your pet in someone else’s care requires total peace of mind, which is why I prioritize strict attention to routine, safety, and proactive communication. I currently work from 7am - 3pm on weekdays. I am fully available on weekends and overnights. After 3pm on weekdays I am fully available for drop ins and walks. I have a fenced in yard, and a Golden Retriever who is very friendly and well trained. I make sure there is always a water in my dogs bowl and I am on schedule with her feeding times.
“Allison is amazing! She has taken such great care of our dogs, we appreciate being able to leave them for an evening and know they’re getting the attention they need. Thank you for being so great!”
“Sarah was a lifesaver for our last minute request to watch our cats! She was amazing with Marlin and Lola… 2 very different 🐈🐈⬛personalties. We got lots of PICTs and messages… 💯 % recommend Sarah!”

“Mary was wonderful at helping us with a last-ish minute drop in. She offered to do a meet and greet on short notice and her communication was great. We plan on using her again!!”

“Thank you again Lynsday! Our animals look happy and content. We appreciate you so much!! If you are looking for a pet sitter Lynsday was great with our pets she will be great with yours!”

“Erin was great! She got along really well with my shy cat, and it was clear from the start that she has a natural way with animals. My cat usually takes a long time to warm up to new people, but Erin was patient, gentle, and earned her trust quickly. She kept me updated with messages and photos, and I came home to a happy and relaxed cat. I would definitely recommend Erin!”

“Brandon is truly the best cat sitter we've had on Rover (no offense to our other wonderful sitters). He sends great pictures, goes above and beyond taking care of our house, and best of all is a cat whisperer—beloved by even our most shy girl who doesn't come out for other sitters. Thank you Brandon!”

“Sandra did a truly wonderful job taking care of Kitty and Bruno! She was reliable, attentive, and clearly cared for them as if they were her own. I came home to two happy, relaxed pets and felt completely at ease knowing they were in such great hands. Her thoughtful updates were so reassuring, and she went above and beyond—even feeding the squirrels for me! It’s clear she puts a lot of heart into what she does. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. Thank you, Sandra!”
About: I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I recently graduated from college and moved to the city, and I’m excited to continue spending time with animals through dog walking and pet sitting. Over the years, I’ve pet sat and walked dogs for neighbors, friends, and family members, giving me experience with a wide variety of breeds, sizes, and personalities. My family has Dane Mastiffs, so I’m very comfortable handling large breeds, but I also adore small dogs like my aunt’s two mini dachshunds. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or calm and cuddly, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. I understand how important routines, exercise, patience, and affection are for dogs, and I’ll always treat your pet like part of the family. I’m dependable, attentive, and happy to provide updates and photos so you can feel confident your pup is in good hands! I work full-time, but my schedule is similar to shift work. I have open mornings and the occasional free weekend! Pet care is something I enjoy, gets me outside, and is a little bit of exercise all at once. I’m organized, dependable, and committed to making sure pets receive the attention, exercise, and care they need. Whether it’s morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening feedings, I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine and provide updates (and lots of pictures!) so you can feel confident they’re in good hands. My goal is for the pets to feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible. That means sticking to their routine, staying in familiar environments, and being aware of the surrounding stressors. I am great at following clear instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, medications, litter box care, and any special routines their pets are used to. I also keep homes clean and tidy, provide regular updates and photos, and make sure pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away. I can provide services at the client's home; I don't have boarding facilities.

About: I am a veterinary technician with hands on experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and temperaments. I have experience administering medications, monitoring post surgical patients, caring for our sweet senior pets, and working with anxious or reactive animals. I understand how important it is for pet owners to feel confident that their pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for and loved while they are away. Beyond my professional experience, I love all animals and treat them all as if they are my own! Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I strive to provide personalized care that keeps them happy, healthy, and stress free! I am currently working full time but my weekends are always open! My work schedule varies greatly each week but I am always available for overnights! I am able to schedule around your pet if needed! When caring for pets in a clients home, my priority is ensuring they are comfortable and maintain their normal routine! I follow all instructions regarding feeding schedules, medications, and household rules. I treat every clients home with respect and provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident their pets are receiving the absolute best care possible! My goal is to make your pets time away from you as stress free and enjoyable as possible :)
“Tommy is our go-to sitter for the few times a year we have to leave our two pandemic cats behind!! I love being able to visit family and friends across the country knowing our fuzz babies are being well cared for. Attentive, responsive and follows any instructions to the letter. Thanks again Tommy!”

“Amanda provided drop-in visits to feed my 2 kitties over 3-week long period. She made time to get to know my cats during meet-and-greet. She was flexible and showed up every week on time to feed my cats, clean their litter box and also take out trash. She is great at communicating quickly and positively. Will hire her again!”

About: I’ve owned, cared for & been around dogs of all shapes & sizes for as long as I can remember.I currently own 4 fur babies 2 Mastiffs (Diesel & Duchess) and 2 Cats (Kai & Toonces). (And give live updates) I currently do work a Full-time job with a ton of flexibility. Generally speaking I am available before 9am and after 5pm but depending on location & booking I can make reasonable accommodation during the day as well. Just shoot me a message and we can work something out! I have a fenced in yard but currently am not taking any boarding , doggy daycare or crating bookings. I will care for your animals the same way I would my own, following your instructions to a T. As only you know your pets best! Giving live updates and professional & timely responses.
“Savannah was amazing with our three cats, going above and beyond at every turn. Before our trip she came by and spent some time to get to know our babies and let them get comfortable with her. During her visits she gave each of them the personalized attention they needed - be it play, cuddles, or quiet time away from their brothers - so that we returned to happy cats. The food and water were full on return, the litter box clean, Savannah even went above and beyond and swept up the litter outside their box. Will absolutely be calling on Savannah for our next trip - she’s the cat foster mom we never knew we needed.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs all my life, and I have lots of experience with big breeds as I’ve owned three Newfoundlands and a Leonberger. I also have some experience with elderly dogs. I have assisted in training all the dogs I’ve owned, and most importantly, I love all animals! I’m a college student home for the summer, so I’ve gotten plenty of time to spend time with your doggy. I’m less available early in the day (6–9AM), but from 9AM onward I’m at the disposal of your puppy. :) I’m quite good with crate training, as well as dogs that are a bit more stubborn. I am comfortable staying with them as long or as short as needed. I also have a lot of experience walking dogs that require prong collars or harnesses.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Newfield
Mary was great. We were away for 2weeks and had her come 4 times to check on our cat and leave food and water for her. Everything was fine when we got home. We would absolutely book Mary again. She goes the extra mile if necessary, and kept us informed of some details that some people might not do. Mary is patient and attentive and even offered to mist our plants for us without us even asking her to. She definitely has earned her "star" status on Rover!
Kathryn , thank you! I am so appreciative of the efforts you made to locate our hiding Mr Gibbs, and attempts at engaging him out from his “not so un- obvious hideout”! Yes, he does leave “clues” around the house as to his 👻presence when opening doors and drawers. I am glad you detected “nose prints” signaling an appetite. 🤣. Your communication at each visit was so appreciated . We felt safe and secure knowing you were watching and caring for him!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Newfield. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
