“We are so fortunate to have found Kadence. She has a calm, soft demeanor and was unfazed by my fearful Chihuahua barking at her.Once Finn realized that I was leaving he jumped onto her lap and watched me go.That never happens.Kadence sent pictures that assured me that Finn was laying calmly with her.It was a huge relief for me to be able to spend Thanksgiving with my family knowing that Finn was in good hands.Kadence is professional and was here when she said she would be.I highly recommend her.I’ve already booked her, again, for a weekend.”

“Dog loved spending time with her! Communication was good, and she took excellent care of my doggy friend, including applying some medication daily to his ears (and as a result is now cured). Thanks, Jess!”

About: I have volunteered at animal shelters many times as well as pet sitting for many years. I have grown up around them and have seen others warm up to me very quickly. I do work full time so my availability will be either weekends, early mornings or late nights. If I have advance notice I can move around my work schedule to accommodate middle of day shifts Will always keep an eye on them at all times. Or make sure that they are safe in an area that they can’t escape and become lost.
“Maggie was great, so appreciative of her watching our dog Winnie on short notice while we were out of town when our usual care was unavailable. Easy to communicate with and made us feel better about leaving our dog behind!”

“5 stars across the board.... We felt so comfortable with Carolyn house sitting and dog sitting... She sent so many photos and our dog looked so happy... Amazing communication and super caring!!! Carolyn will be our "go-to" hopefully long term”

About: With a passion for animals and a commitment to their well-being, I treat every pet like family, offering the best experience for both you and your furry companion. Pet sitting fits well with my schedule, I would like to devote as much time as I can to pet sitting, It’s a hobby for me. I have a big backyard and a clean home. I am willing to take the dogs on walks to keep the pets active. Giving the pets all the love and affection they need.
“Ty literally came to the rescue for us. He was accommodating and so understanding of our ever changing plans. He arrived on time and was very communicative. When we arrived home our dog seemed quite content. We will use Ty again.”

About: Donna and I started taking care of dogs when we lost our Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Dutchin. We got her when she was 3 months old and she was our baby. When she crossed the Rainbow Bridge, we couldn't bring ourselves to get another dog, but wanted to still experience the joy that dogs bring to our lives. We decided to provide both care and a safe, loving home for other people's pets while their humans are away or otherwise unable to care for them short-term. This way, we can give you peace of mind in knowing your best friend is safe and happy, and we get to interact with all kinds of dogs, which gives us great joy! Your friend will get all the love and attention you give them; and, well, if we spoil them a bit too much, sorry (not sorry)! We are both retired, so we have plenty of time to care for your pets whether in our home or yours. We are available for walks, drop in visits and overnight boarding in our home. When boarding with us, your fur baby will never be alone as someone is always home. We have a large fenced-in yard where your dog can run and play off leash safely. Are your pets used to making themselves at home on the couch? Not a problem! They are more than welcome to snuggle up on ours. If you wish to make your pet a little more at home, you may bring your pet's bed, toys and/or crate.
About: I have 10 years of experience with all kinds of dogs, including Rotties, Huskies, Shepherds, and Pitties. I’m comfortable with a wide range of personalities — from total couch potatoes to pups who just need a little space and patience. I’ve fostered and volunteered with dogs for years, and I’m happy to help with training or just hang out and lounge — whatever your dog needs, I’m here for it 😊 I'm currently in the process of switching jobs so I have an incredibly flexible schedule. I can dog sit or walk during weekends and weekdays. If your dog does better with others I can bring along my own dog whose verryyyy relaxed and easy going. Caring for dogs is about adapting behavior to match theirs, which is where trust is built! If your dog is anxious around a lot of energy, we tone it down. If your dog is a bubbly, there's lots of playing! Body language is key when it comes to our puppies so I always make sure to stay tuned in 🎶
About: Hi there, I’ve been taking care of my dogs for over 20 years. I’m mature and responsible, and afraid of nothing! I know how their minds work, and know that they just want to be loved. I’m a stay at home mom with free time from 7:30am to 2pm, and evenings after 6. I’m also available for overnights as my husband schedule allows. Pet safety is always first, so when out, I’m constantly aware of our surroundings so I see things before your fur baby does. In the meantime I’ll be making sure I build trust through calm, kindness, and fun.
About: I have an incredibly healthy 17 year old Maltipoo. He wouldn’t be with me during sitting but his overall health and happiness is the most important thing to me on this planet. I treat everyone’s dog with the same respect and love that I would my own little guy. I have experience taking care of breeds up to 140 lbs and as small as 4 lbs and I am also totally fine with dogs even larger. Open schedule currently. Pet care is my daily life as I have a pet myself. However, my animal has care for when I am caring for yours to ensure the safety and tailored care to your pet and my own. ❤️ As if it were my own home. I am a pretty meticulous and clean person. I would always leave a space as it was when I entered it.
About: With over 10 years of hands-on experience, I bring a lifelong love of dogs and a deep understanding of their care. I grew up caring for our family dogs from puppyhood through their senior years, and I’m comfortable with everything from daily walks, feeding, and playtime to grooming, baths, and administering basic medications. Over the years, I’ve also provided reliable care for friends’ and family members’ dogs, including overnight stays. Whether your pup needs lots of play or extra snuggles, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and well-loved while you’re away. I am currently available weekdays and weekends for walks, drop in visits and overnight stays. I am working part time and my schedule is flexible. I believe in keeping the lines of communication open! I will keep you posted daily on how your pup is doing and any details of their experience or behavior that I think you should know. I will ask questions if I need more information and I would ask you to let me know anything you are wondering about while you’re away.
About: I've owned and been around dogs (and other pets) my entire life and love it! My dogs are my best friends and adventure buddies. I have also fostered dogs and plan to get back into doing that at some point. I love all breeds, ages, and sizes and find them to all have unique personalities just like people! Friends and family call on me frequently to help care for and train their canine friends or for advice because of my experience and knowledge in working with various temperaments, behavioral issues, and training. I provide much love and attention, but know when to be a stern pack leader to keep everyone safe and in check! I use positive reinforcement and correction/redirection over discipline and I believe a lot of exercise and encouragement can make any dog a "good dog." Dogs tend to love me and are responsive to my leadership style. Daycare and/or Boarding: I do meet & greets so you and your pup can meet me, my dogs, and sniff around my space before services begin. I’m currently only taking familiar dogs into my home (I.e. I will consider taking in those who I’ve cared for or walked). Please feel free to contact me with questions or suggestions - I want to do my best to meet you and your dog's needs. I currently work per diem so my schedule often leaves me entire days to be flexible and I love to fill my down time with furry friends I find the most critical care to be love, pats & praise, and structure & consistency. When it comes to others’ pets, I want to provide individualized care that is consistent with their daily life, so I try to incorporate owners’ standards and parenting styles. I recognize consistency is key to improve dogs’ understanding and reduce their stress. Let me know how to accommodate you and your pet.
About: I have cared for family and neighborhood pets all throughout my young adult life, and I have raised my own pets and supported them during their years of senior living. I am working remotely, so I can be available anytime for pet sittings! Time spent with animals is my favorite hobby, so I am always eager to get into a new routine with your pet! I prioritize respecting your home by following all your guidelines, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring everything is as you left it. Your trust and peace of mind are important to me.
About: I’ve had pets my entire life, and since I was a teenager have walked, bathed, and cared for pets on rover, and worked at a dog daycare and boarding center. Animals are my passion! I am currently out of school so will be fully available to care for animals, though i’m going to school this fall. I’m fully committed to caring for pets and using all my spare time to do so. At my home, I have a friendly dog named Cindy Lou that I care for and love. I have everything a pet owner would need, which is accessible for your pets, too! I will make time for your pets’ needs, no matter what they are.
About: I have always been such a dog lover and have gained experience taking care of others dogs as well as my own dog in the past 5 years. I am a very active person so I love to take my dog and others outside for walks, hikes and adventures. My dog is a rescue which has provided me with experience in what it takes to make a dog feel comfortable, loved and well taken care of in their home environment. I work in healthcare however in a very flexible position that allows me to make my own schedule. That way I can work around the needs of the dog. It is so important to me to give each pet the care that they deserve and to make them as comfortable and cared for as possible in their home.

Newburyport pet parents share their Rover experiences
Lyndsay was wonderful. We’re pretty sure our dogs lived their best lives while we were away. We were out of the country, so we needed someone we could trust and who could handle anything that came up. She did all that and more. Even tried to teach our young dog some new commands. Highly recommend.

We are so happy to have found Julie to house sit our aging corgi and pampered cat. She was reliable, communicative, and most of all, kind. Our corgi seemed very happy to be walking and relaxing with her, and she even got our people-shy cat to come out for her during the day. We will definitely ask her first when we need overnight care ❤️
