“Robyn has been a wonderful regular dog walker. She is reliable, let’s us know in advance when she won’t be able to do our normal schedule and takes the best pictures of our pup. Anyone would be lucky to work with her!”

About: I have grown up with dogs/cats all my life and don’t know what I would do with out them.I enjoy all animals and will be very flexible with everyone’s schedules! I enjoy spending time and playing with dogs/cats of any size. I have been dog sitting and walking for family and friends for years. I have allways been reliable with any task given to me and will never cancel or be Iresponsible with your dogs. I recently moved to mount pleasant in September and am loving it! My schedule is pretty flexible so I can attend to your pets needs! I have grown up with pets and love them with all my heart. I currently have a large dog named kiko! She is my everything and we have a very strict routine. My day starts early between 6am-7 with a 40 minute walk/off leash running which sets both mine and her day up for success. She all-ways eats at the same time and has enrichment toys throughout the day to keep her anxiety levels down and ease stress. We end our day with another “sniff” walk then snuggle on the couch together with a late night let out to end the night.
“Meaghan was such a big help and I’ll definitely be requesting her again! She sent plenty of photos from the walk and refilled my dog’s bowl without me even asking. I definitely recommend her!”

About: I have taken care of various friends and neighbors pets since I was a kid. I currently watch my parents senior cat when they travel. I unfortunately don’t have a dog of my own, but I do have a wonderful cat named Ophelia. I look forward to providing pet care for you and your family. I have an incredibly flexible schedule. I’m an accountant who works from home. I am available for drop in visits and walks during most days. As a pet owner myself, I understand the stress of finding a trusted pet caretaker. I am punctual and kind and look forward to providing excellent service for you and your pet. I love sending pictures and videos!
About: Hi! My name is Brooke, and I am looking to help out with some pups! I’m willing to do one-time, or repeating walking schedules, home care/drop-in visits, and other requests! I’ve always grown up with dogs and cats, I am comfortable around them, and since I am a stay at home college student, I have experience being the go-to for family and friends dogs sitting needs often. Please message me if interested! I currently work part-time as well as am an online college student, therefore my schedule can tend to be flexible! I also nanny, but me and my toddler go on many puppy walks daily and would love to bring a new friend along! I have a fenced in yard as well as an older pup who loves to spend time socializing with other dogs! In a clients home, I am always respectful of the spaces and make sure me and the pup keep everything clean and clear.
“Erin was great with Reggie and came through for me when I needed someone on short notice. Everything went smoothly and I came home to a contented dog. Thanks, Erin! Will definitely use you again.”
“Nicole was awesome. She kept me updated on all the walks and sent me pictures. When Bridget hadn’t eaten one day she let me know right away. I highly recommend Nicole to watch, walk and feed your dog.”

“Maggie is great! Very calm, reliable, and a great communicator. And ... our dog gets excited when she arrives (which isn't true for everyone), so she is a great fit and we feel so comfortable when we know Maggie is with our dog!”

About: Hi, I’m Sally! I work from home on the Massachusetts coast, so my schedule is flexible and there’s always time for a midday walk or a little extra attention. I’ve completed many Rover visits and have cared for dogs at every stage, from brand new puppies to sweet seniors, and I’m happy to adapt to whatever routine keeps your pup comfortable. As a Frenchie mom myself, I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s hands, and I treat every dog like my own. I’m also very active, so expect a happily tired pup. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so pet care fits naturally into my day. I’m available for midday walks and drop in visits most weekdays, and for house sitting I can often work right from your home, which means your dog gets company for most of the day instead of just mornings and evenings. Since I care for dogs in your home, I follow your rules and routines exactly, from feeding instructions to house boundaries. On walks, dogs stay securely leashed and harnessed, and I’m always careful around doors and gates. I pay close attention to body language and comfort, I ask plenty of questions up front, and I treat your home with the same care I’d want for mine.
“Nikki was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond caring for my dog Enzo—even bringing him homemade treats. He usually takes a long time to warm up to new sitters, but he bonded with Nikki right away. She's always on time and was great at communicating throughout, including providing great photos from each visit. I highly recommend booking her!”
About: I’m an experienced dog owner and longtime animal lover! I have hands-on experience fostering puppies, so I’m comfortable with everything from energetic playtime and basic training to keeping a close eye on routines, feeding, and potty breaks. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. I’ll treat your dog like one of my own and make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I’m happy to accommodate different personalities, energy levels, and routines to make our time together as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. Pet care is a very important part of my daily routine, and I always make it a top priority. I currently have a dog and a rescue cat, so I understand the time, attention, and consistency pets need throughout the day. I’m reliable with scheduling and communication, and I’ll make sure your pet receives the care and attention they need while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat their home with the same care and respect I would my own. I understand how important it is to feel comfortable trusting someone with both your pets and your home, so I prioritize safety, following your instructions, and clear communication throughout the entire stay. I’ll keep you updated and make sure your pet’s routine is maintained as closely as possible.

About: I have a weiner dog named Benny whom I raised and trained since he was a puppy. I’ve cared for puppies post-neuter/spay surgery as well as walking and caring for injured dogs. I have experience administering medication to dogs and cats. I’ve housesat for friends to care for their cats and have lived with and cared for a cat for over 3 years. I love animals and I’m passionate about their well-being and quality of life. I know every animal is unique, and needs to be approached with that in mind. I’m currently working part time in the evenings for a couple hours so I have early morning to late afternoon available. I also have availability on weekends. I’ve spent time with many different kinds of pets and I feel confident that after spending a little time with yours, I’ll understand how they want to be approached and cared for. I raised my dog since he was a puppy and took part in his training so I feel confident with dogs of any age. I’ve spent many years around cats and know their mannerisms and the quiet language that they use to communicate. I want you to come home to a pet that is happy and healthy, above all.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs all my life as I’ve always had a dog growing up. Ive cared for older dogs as well as two puppies. My family has relied on me to help feed, walk, and play with our dogs every day and I’d be happy to do it for anyone in need. I’m currently working full time from 3-11:30pm about 4-5 days a week, so I’m free most mornings and early afternoons before 2pm to help walk, feed, or play with animals. On days or weekends I have off, I can care for pets anytime of the day. I have a fenced in yard and two friendly dogs, one can be sensitive to some dogs but usually gets along with most dogs. I feed them breakfast and dinner, and take them on walks daily.
About: Donna and I started taking care of dogs when we lost our Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Dutchin. We got her when she was 3 months old and she was our baby. When she crossed the Rainbow Bridge, we couldn't bring ourselves to get another dog, but wanted to still experience the joy that dogs bring to our lives. We decided to provide both care and a safe, loving home for other people's pets while their humans are away or otherwise unable to care for them short-term. This way, we can give you peace of mind in knowing your best friend is safe and happy, and we get to interact with all kinds of dogs, which gives us great joy! Your friend will get all the love and attention you give them; and, well, if we spoil them a bit too much, sorry (not sorry)! We are both retired, so we have plenty of time to care for your pets whether in our home or yours. We are available for walks, drop in visits and overnight boarding in our home. When boarding with us, your fur baby will never be alone as someone is always home. We have a large fenced-in yard where your dog can run and play off leash safely. Are your pets used to making themselves at home on the couch? Not a problem! They are more than welcome to snuggle up on ours. If you wish to make your pet a little more at home, you may bring your pet's bed, toys and/or crate.
“Evan was amazing with Cooper. He was very caring and when Cooper got home he was smiling and had the zoomies he was so happy. Evan is incredible!!!! Thank you Evan. We will be calling you again!”

Eleanor was great. She took care of our Pepper for one day, giving her two walks and feeding her when she came by for the second walk. Very responsible and easy to communicate with. She found a tick on Pepper and removed it for us. Highly recommended to other dog owners.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
