Dog Walking Newburyport

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 10, including my own dog! Neighbors, friends, and family can rely on me to give their pets ample attention, long walks, and personal care. I am comfortable with dogs of many sizes and ages. I have experience working with senior dogs who require medication and special treatment, as well as puppies who need extra care while they learn the ropes. I work part-time and have an active lifestyle, so I can accommodate long walks during the day or stop by visits on the weekends. I have my own dog, whom I love to bring on off-leash walks multiple times a day, and who is friendly with other animals. I have a small fenced-in backyard, and a small dog who gets along well with others. Our backyard has a door with a handle rather than a doggy door that requires me to let the dogs out and watch them while they play to ensure their ultimate safety.

About: I have had pets of all kinds my entire life, to which I have been trusted to take care of them. I have experience pet sitting for family and friends, though most of my pet experience has come from my personal pets. My dad is also a K9 officer and dog trainer, which has given me a lot of experience being around big dogs and seeing how to take care of dogs. About: Donna and I started taking care of dogs when we lost our Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Dutchin. We got her when she was 3 months old and she was our baby. When she crossed the Rainbow Bridge, we couldn't bring ourselves to get another dog, but wanted to still experience the joy that dogs bring to our lives. We decided to provide both care and a safe, loving home for other people's pets while their humans are away or otherwise unable to care for them short-term. This way, we can give you peace of mind in knowing your best friend is safe and happy, and we get to interact with all kinds of dogs, which gives us great joy! Your friend will get all the love and attention you give them; and, well, if we spoil them a bit too much, sorry (not sorry)! We are both retired, so we have plenty of time to care for your pets whether in our home or yours. We are available for walks, drop in visits and overnight boarding in our home. When boarding with us, your fur baby will never be alone as someone is always home. We have a large fenced-in yard where your dog can run and play off leash safely. Are your pets used to making themselves at home on the couch? Not a problem! They are more than welcome to snuggle up on ours. If you wish to make your pet a little more at home, you may bring your pet's bed, toys and/or crate.

About: I've been around animals my whole life. I grew up with dogs, and these days I'm often the person friends and family call when they need someone to look after their pets. I've spent plenty of time walking dogs, feeding them, playing with them, and making sure they're well cared for while their owners are away. I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes, including larger, high-energy breeds. I enjoy getting to know each animal's personality and building trust with them. I've even trained my own cats to do tricks and respond to commands using positive reinforcement. Taking care of animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and I take the responsibility seriously because I know how much people's pets mean to them. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I work from home on Mondays and Fridays, which gives me the flexibility to provide walks, drop-in visits, and pet care throughout the day. Outside of work, taking care of animals has always been a regular part of my life, whether that's spending time with my own pets or helping friends and family with theirs. Because I work a consistent schedule and plan my time carefully, I can be reliable and punctual when it comes to pet care. I enjoy getting outside for walks and spending time with animals, so it's something I genuinely look forward to rather than trying to squeeze into a busy schedule. I try to keep things as close to the pet's normal routine as possible. When I'm caring for a pet in their home, I follow the owner's instructions and make sure they're getting everything they need, whether that's walks, meals, playtime, medications, or just some company while their owner is away. I pay attention to each animal's personality and body language and adjust my approach accordingly. Some pets want lots of attention and activity, while others are happier with a quieter approach and a little extra patience. I'm comfortable with both. Safety is always important to me. I make sure doors, gates, and leashes are secure, and I keep an eye out for anything that seems out of the ordinary. My goal is to make sure pets are comfortable, well cared for, and as stress-free as possible while their owners are away. I make sure that I'm always available, and communication is a huge priority for me

About: Excited to return to Rover! I've owned and surrounded myself with dogs (and other pets) my entire life and love it! My pups are my best friends and adventure buddies. Friends and family often call on me to help care for and train their canine friends or for advice because of my experience from working with various temperaments and behaviors. I also used to foster dogs and plan to return to that at some point. I love all breeds, ages, and sizes and find they all have unique personalities, just like people! I provide much love and attention, but know when to be a stern pack leader to keep everyone safe and in check! I use positive reinforcement and correction/redirection over discipline and I believe more exercise and encouragement can make most dogs a "good dog." Dogs tend to love me and are responsive to my leadership style. I currently work per diem and part-time so my schedule is often flexible and I love to fill my down time with furry friends I find the most critical care to be love, pats & praise, and structure & consistency. When it comes to others’ pets, I want to provide individualized care that is consistent with their daily life, so I try to incorporate owners’ standards and parenting styles. I am currently available most days of the week. I work part time nights at a restaurant. On the days I work I am still available to watch/walk your pets before and after my shift.
