“Michael and Loraine took great care of Jax, our Bichpoo. You can tell they have had dogs and are true dog lovers. Jax took to them right away, thanks to their loving manner and welcoming warmth. We’re already booked for our next trip!”

“Ceinwen is absolutely fantastic. She and her lovely two daughters have gone above and beyond to ensure that my fur kids are safe and well cared for when I travel. I can’t give enough stars!!!”

“Cindy was so great and attentive to Maggie! She took care of her even while she was sick. She out me at ease having to leave while Maggie was feeling under the weather. She was able to give Maggie meds and kept me updated the whole time. I would definitely leave Maggie with her again!”

About: Hi! I’ve grown up with pets all my life. Now that I’m an adult I have 5 cats and a dog. I’ve fostered (and foster failed) both cats and dogs over the years. I watch my friend’s pets here and at their homes as well. At my house I have a spare room that can be your animal’s home away from home if they need their own secluded space. I also have a fenced in yard with friendly neighbors who are also animal lovers. Come in the summer and I’ll send you home with some fresh veggies from my garden too! I get up early for work and make sure to leave plenty of time to feed, clean litter boxes and make sure all my four legged babies are ready for the day. Once home in the afternoon and after I lay down on the couch they all come to find me for love and to lay on me for all the pets. At night all are welcome to sleep with me, on the couch or wherever they are the most comfortable. I home almost all day over the weekends except for the morning time on Sundays. I have a fenced in yard so any dogs are able to go outside whenever they need to to play, pee or lay in the sun. I watch my neighbor’s dogs as needed and will go over every 4 or so hours to let them out over the weekends. During the week I let them out before I go to work and then as soon as I come home. I then let them out again before bed around 8pm. I also am able to let them out as needed when they are in a pinch and can’t get home in time. My cats and yours if they come for a stay will have water and toys available to them at all times. They will be fed twice a day with a snack of crunchies before bed. If you needed me to come to your house to take care of your cats and/or dogs, I would be able to come early in the morning, after work and before bed during the week and every 4-6 hours during the weekend. While at your house I can take animals for a walk, play, give pets and love, brush or whatever else is needed. Of course I’d feed them and clean kitty litter boxes or whatever else your babies need. I am good with giving medicine to cats and dogs. I give daily medication to my dog and have had to give cats medicine in the past.

About: I am a teacher, so I have lots of availability in the summer for dog sitting and walking. I also have unlimited patience and lots of energy for pets. I am the proud fur-baby mother of a rescue dog! He is about 70 pounds and tricky to walk, which has given me great experience. I know how to handle anxious pets. I am an active person who enjoys spending time outdoors, especially with my dog. In the summer, we spend most of or time in the backyard playing and spending time together: When my dog gets hot he relaxes on his outdoor cooling bed next to cold bowl of water or takes a dip in his doggie pool. The only thing that keeps us inside is thunder or lightning. Overall, I am a very devoted dog owner and animal lover and looking forward to meeting many new dogs!
“Yujie was fantastic with our dog while we were away for a week. She was easy to communicate with prior to the trip and set up a meet and greet so we could make sure Lacey was comfortable with her and in her home. During the trip she provided daily updates and we felt like Lacey was having a great time. Would definitely trust Yujie with our dog again next time we travel!”

“Deb took fantastic care of Sadie! She sent photos and a video of her fun time at her house with her new friend Gleason! We look forward to Sadie staying there again over the 4th of July weekend.”

“Theresa & Kevin were absolutely wonderful with our Choco👍🤗 During our 2 weeks, we received daily photos, videos, updates which gave us peace of mind knowing Choco was in great hands⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Shamira takes such wonderful care of my elderly dog. Nina is blind and has a lot of special needs — diapers, meds, eyedrops! Shamira handles it all in stride. And she makes sure to shower Nina with attention and give her plenty of the things she likes such as spending time in the sun.”

“It was our first time away from our dog. Kristin was amazing at taking care of Millie! We got updates everyday, multiple pics each day. Millie had a great time too! She came back home Happy and super tired. It was evident she had constant play sessions with Kristin's dog :D. It was more of a vacation for Millie than us! Would highly recommend Kristin for dog boarding!”

“Highly recommend Olivia! I’m new to the area and don’t know a lot of people so leaving my dog (Indy) for 5 days was very scary for me. Olivia answered all the questions I had to make sure I felt at ease leaving Indy with her. She is very knowledgeable about dogs and their behavior. She was very responsive throughout the stay and sent me a lot of pictures and videos to ensure Indy was okay! I could tell she quickly warmed up to Olivia and had a great time playing with her and the other dogs. We will definitely be back.”

“Amy was extremely flexible on the day that I dropped off my pups. I was greatly delayed because of an accidental slip-and-fall event as I prepared to leave home, but she was extremely accommodating. My pups were clearly well cared for and the picture she sent of them snuggling together was very reassuring. I will definitely be calling on Amy for help once again for my two dogs.”

“My dog had an excellent time staying in Carole’s home while I was working. She has a beautiful home with plenty of space for dogs to run and play. Would definitely recommend!”

“Daniel was great with both of my dogs Lots of pictures and has the perfect approach for handling dogs. Property is impressive with a lot of room for our dogs to roam”

“Stephany was awesome! Very communicative, great handler, and my dog loved her. She took my Nala on big walks, let her out on a leash in the yard, and was attentive to her, sent me multiple pictures and videos, and I can tell my dog wants to go back. Not to mention, she took my booking request on a days notice and I went from requesting to drop off in less than 24 hours. Perfectly reasonable price, will definitely be rebooking in the future!!!”

“Andrew was wonderful from start to finish. He was easy to communicate with, very responsive, and flexible- we had to adjust our days after booking due to an unexpected funeral and he made the changes quickly. Our dog got really great care with frequent updates and pics and it was very clear Andrew really enjoys taking care of animals! Would highly recommend. Thank you!!”

“Ani thoroughly enjoyed spending time with Sarah and her family. Bruegger was particularly kind and welcoming towards small dogs. I would certainly make another reservation in the future!”

“Roseanne and her family are beautiful. They took great care of my pup, provided updates and lots of pictures. I could easily tell that my girl enjoyed her stay with them. My pup was also recovering from surgery so the extra care was really appreciated 💗”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - New Britain
We had a wonderful experience! Taylor took such great care of our dog Rosie while we were away and gave us complete peace of mind! She kept me updated with photos and videos, and it was clear Rosie was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Rosie is very energetic and can be anxious and that was no issue at all, when we arrived Rosie was instantly comfortable and I knew she was in great hands! We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!

Heather is great! As soon as we had a meet and greet with our dog we knew this would be just fine. Heather is attentive and caring. Rudy got along well with the other dogs. Daily pics helped confirm he was doing fine! Highly recommend. Will definitely book with Heather in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
