“Elisa was the best!!! I am so happy I found her to care for our two cats while we were gone. We always hate leaving them, but we knew they were well cared for by Elisa. She sent a detailed review each day & also took the best pictures of them while we were gone. Thank you so much Elisa for providing the best care for our cats. We’ll for sure be contacting Elisa again in the future.”

About: While I've had dogs for 8+ years, I have learned the importance of training and instructing animals. In the past, I have trained dogs to understand commands such as sit, stand, lie down, paw, and many more. Not only have I focused on training, but I also recognize the importance of exerting energy in which I can play fetch with dogs or even run with them. While I am in classes, I will have plenty of time throughout the days and most nights to watch, walk, and care for your animal. When it comes to hours or even a few minutes, there is always a way to work taking care of your pet into my schedule. The middle of the days are usually harder for me since I am in class, but other than that, I have pretty much open availability. In my own personal home, It would be hard for me to house an animal considering my roommates have both a dog and a cat. I wouldn't want any animal to be reactive so I would have to visit rather than bring to my home. I am more than willing to travel to a destination to care for your animal. I am also able to walk your animal in any area deemed fit and safe for both the animal and myself.
“Ian was great! He provided such great care to our puppy on such short notice. We appreciated his detailed feedback and how attentive he was. He was also easy to get in touch with and very responsive. We highly recommend Ian!”

“Heather took such good care of my fur baby Raz While I was away. She always goes above and beyond in caring for him! He definitely loves her and I trust her implicitly.”

“Hannah did a great job caring for our 2 cats. She followed instructions well and is super friendly. Our boys were well cared for. One of our cats has diabetes and needs insulin given subdermally via syringe, along with oral meds, and Hannah did well with administering those. Very reliable, kind sitter. I would highly recommend Hannah!”

“Devyn was great- I was certain that Jack was well taken care of! Our cat is not particularly cuddly with new people, but somehow Devyn still managed to snag photos of him. I would recommend her.”

“Angela was not only super reliable, but flexible with her schedule and with our pets. Our pets seemed to be so happy with her and with good reason, she treated them as her own. We would highly recommend her as well as utilize her services in the near and distant future!”

“Meghan provided excellent care to my two kitties. She was very conscious about keeping the food dishes clean and keeping the litter box clean. She spent time with them , giiving some love and comfort. I have reserved Meghan for multiple trips during the next year.”

About: I’ve walked dogs since high school! I have also volunteered at an animal shelter for the passed 2 years taking care of a variety of different sized breeds. I have also been a vet assistant at clinic since September! I’m currently in college and working part time but have more time on the weekends and to do overnight pet care if needed! I also have some time during the week and will be more available this summer. In a clients home, my attention would be on the dog! I would not let them be outside unsupervised, and would strictly follow the instructions given by the owner.
“Roxxie was great with my pups, she was very prompt and sent lots of pictures on their walks and playtime. My oldest and hardest dog was great and was excited to see her every visit. Last minute we had to add some drop in visits and Roxxie was willing and able to work this out for us. We will be using Roxxie for all our other trips.”

Hi, my name is Kristina! I know leaving your pet home alone can be a very stressful time for you and your pet. Knowing your pet is in good hands while you're away is important to ease your mind and ensure your pets health and safety. Here is a little background information regarding my experience in the pet care industry to help reduce the stress of leaving your pet. As a child I was raised with a household of pets from dogs to cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, turtles and fish and more! I am currently a dog mom to a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher Mix name Charlotte who has a history of separation anxiety. Outside of my personal household, I have over 15 years' experience as a private pet sitter for dogs and cats as well as a dog walker. I have experience with separation anxiety and will do my best to accommodate your pets needs while you are away. If your pet needs extra treats, has a favorite TV show or music they like, let me know! I will care for your pet like they are my own. I offer walks, drop ins, playtime and scratches and more! Anything your pet needs! You will receive a photo of your pet during this time!
About: I've been with and around pets since I was 14. I am a reliable resource to pet, play, feed, and walk neighbors' and friends animals for lots of time. I don't personally have any pets myself, but I often have dogs come stay with us and go visit other people's pets. I'm used to a dog running around and everyday responsibilities of having a pet/ I care for pets in my home or clients' home with the knowledge of what the dog is allowed and not allowed to do, what boundaries the home has, and the animal's safety at the front of my mind at all times.

“Amy is absolutely incredible! She is very flexible and hard working, always sends the cutest photos. Her positive, friendly demeanor made me instantly feel comfortable leaving my kitty with her. Best rover sitter I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to book her again! 🐈⬛💕”

Thank you again for caring for our furry baby. While lime takes a while to warm up to people we know he is always safe and cared for even if it’s on his own terms. We can travel without having to worry as Jeanne is super reliable and keeps in close contact. This is probably the 5th or so time we have used her and will continue to! She is the BEST

Joey did a great job taking care of our kitties and giving them lots of attention while we were in Colorado for a long weekend. He had great communication with us and made sure to take photos and check in with me everytime he stopped by. Would love go have him watch them again in the future!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in New Britain. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
