“Brooke did an amazing job with drop in visits for our 3 poodles. She provided check-ins with photos and notes on how they were doing. I was able to enjoy the wedding and know they were well cared for. We definitely will use Brooke again!”

“Hannah did a great job caring for our 2 cats. She followed instructions well and is super friendly. Our boys were well cared for. One of our cats has diabetes and needs insulin given subdermally via syringe, along with oral meds, and Hannah did well with administering those. Very reliable, kind sitter. I would highly recommend Hannah!”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs basically my whole life. I worked at a kennel for 3 years and still work at one to this day, and had dogs as pets for years. Since I’ve had dogs my whole life, I know how to care for my pets and your pets! Since I’m working at a kennel, I will update my availability depending on my work schedule. I usually work weekdays from 1:15-6 so I have a lot of free time on my hands. I make sure that the dogs get all of the care in world by making sure they are fed, have fresh and cold water, making sure they are safe, and of course playtimes.
“Love Delaney’s heart for our two fur babies! She was prompt, thorough, and patient when walking Bailey and receiving Dabby cat’s kisses. Can’t thank her enough for being there for them on so such short notice!! Will definitely be calling upon her again.”

“I am so very appreciative of Tricia! I love my doggos with my whole heart, and I wouldn't trust them with just anyone. I knew right away, and my dogs knew right away, Tricia was one of the good ones. Thank you so much for taking care of my babies!”

About: I bring a wide range of hands-on animal care experience that goes far beyond typical pet sitting. I’ve worked with animals of all kinds—from training dogs and caring for cats to handling farm animals like calves and horses. I’m comfortable managing pets with different temperaments, including anxious, reactive, or previously abused animals, and I take pride in helping them feel safe and cared for. I’m highly detail-oriented and quick to learn each pet’s routine, which allows me to notice subtle changes in behavior, health, or mood. I also have experience supporting both young and senior pets, including administering basic care, reinforcing training, and providing extra patience and attention where needed. What really sets me apart is my reliability, strong work ethic, and genuine love for animals. I treat every pet like my own and strive to create a calm, safe, and positive environment while you’re away. I currently have open availability and can accommodate a wide range of scheduling needs, including weekdays and weekends. I strive to be flexible and reliable to ensure consistent, high quality care for your pet. Safety, trust, and respect are at the core of the care I provide. I strictly follow all instructions, rules, and boundaries by the owner to ensure their pet’s routine and environment remain consistent and secure. I make it a priority to double-check that all doors are properly closed and lock before leaving your home, giving you a piece of mine while you’re away. I am dependable and punctual, always showing up when expected, and completing every task with care and attention to detail. I also ensure to leave your home, clean and well-maintained. My consistent, compassionate approach, not only build trust with pet owners also helps pets feel safe, comfortable, and at ease in my care.
“Meghan was amazing! Reliable, caring, and very attentive. She made sure everything was taken care of and gave our cats great company while we were away. We came home to happy cats and a clean space. Highly recommend her!”

About: I have lots of experience working with all different types of cats both in a home and shelter environment so I'm very good at reading their body language. I have volunteered with Stray Cat Blues animal rescue for arounf 4 years and have owned cats most of my life. I also have experience with medium and large dogs, having had them as pets. I am comfortable giving oral medications to both cats and dogs and would be willing to learn how to provide injectable medications as well. I'm currently on summer break from college so my schedule is pretty open. I will be taking a hybrid-online and in person course starting at the end of May and ending early July so I will not be free Wednesdays or any other day I may have a test. As I am not incredibly strong I would only be comfortable taking dogs 50 pounds or less on walks unless they are very well trained on the leash. I also would only allow pets out off leash in a fenced yard with their owners ok. As I am a pet owner of both cats and dogs I am familiar with common toxins, both in food and nature to avoid.
“Thank you, Kristin! Everything was done as requested. I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing our cat was well taken care of. Would highly recommend and will definitely use again.”

“Roxxie was great with my pups, she was very prompt and sent lots of pictures on their walks and playtime. My oldest and hardest dog was great and was excited to see her every visit. Last minute we had to add some drop in visits and Roxxie was willing and able to work this out for us. We will be using Roxxie for all our other trips.”

“Elisa was the best!!! I am so happy I found her to care for our two cats while we were gone. We always hate leaving them, but we knew they were well cared for by Elisa. She sent a detailed review each day & also took the best pictures of them while we were gone. Thank you so much Elisa for providing the best care for our cats. We’ll for sure be contacting Elisa again in the future.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Briarwyck
Haley went above and beyond to care for our pets and send us photos to let us know how they were doing. She clearly cares a lot for animals, and she's reliable with a great attention to detail. We look forward to hiring her again in the future next time we can get away!

Amy is an absolute gem of a cat sitter! We have three boy cats who can be a handful, and she handled everything with ease and care — including administering medications, which we know isn't always the easiest task! We came home to three happy, relaxed cats, which says everything about the kind of attentive, loving care she provides. It's so hard to leave your fur babies, but Amy gave us total peace of mind while we were away. She clearly has a natural way with animals, and our boys took to her right away. We will absolutely be booking her again and couldn't recommend her more highly to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate pet sitter!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Briarwyck. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
