“McKayla was awesome! Our cats love her and she took such good care of them! We will definitely be asking her to help again in the future! She sent tons of pictures and responded quickly too! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“I felt very comfortable leaving my pet for a few days knowing that Heather would be checking in on him. She shared a daily update and prior to our trip she stopped in to meet our pet and make sure she knew exactly how to best take care of him.”

“Hannah did a great job caring for our 2 cats. She followed instructions well and is super friendly. Our boys were well cared for. One of our cats has diabetes and needs insulin given subdermally via syringe, along with oral meds, and Hannah did well with administering those. Very reliable, kind sitter. I would highly recommend Hannah!”

“Katie was an amazing sitter. She is very friendly and personable. We could tell immediately that our two dogs would be well cared for. She had more questions for us than we had for her at our meet and greet. Katie’s visit recaps are detailed and informative. She showered our dogs with attention and kept them both entertained and active during her visits. I wouldn’t hesitate to have Katie look after our 2 dogs again. 10 out of 10!!!!”

“I highly recommend Megan! Megan took great care of my two cats, one of whom is on medication. Her communication before and throughout the process was stellar. I appreciated her updates and pictures of my guys, and I returned to two happy, well cared for cats!”

“Once again, Delaney rocks with walking and sitting with our Bailey boy and Dabby cat. Don’t know how I’d get by without her! TYSM, Delaney! (If you’re reading this and deciding, contact her now! On second thought, we might need her… She’s great!!)”

“Mariela was amazing! Highly recommended on all levels - she took care of my Savannah cat to the highest level and my cat really doesn’t like anyone and she loved Mariela - weather short term or long term book Mariela and you won’t be dissatisfied- 5 stars and two thumbs way wayyy up!”

“Marina was so good to my little dachshund! She let him out and fed him for 3 days around lunch. I received updates and cute pictures of my pup during her visit. She made sure to clean up any messes (he sometimes pees with excitement ??♀️) and my house was locked up upon her departure. I would recommend her and will be using her again in the future!”
“Meghan was amazing! Reliable, caring, and very attentive. She made sure everything was taken care of and gave our cats great company while we were away. We came home to happy cats and a clean space. Highly recommend her!”

“Erin was all around great. Erin came for a meet and greet and asked a lot of questions about our dog and how best to take care of her. Also during our time away Erin was on-time, considerate of our home, and great with our dog. I highly recommend her!”

About: I have taken care of my own pets since I can remember. As well as helping with a petsitting/dog walking service for the last 10 years. I currently work a 9-5 M-Th so weekdays do not usually work for me unfortunately. My schedule opens up in August going forward as well. I can do overnights as well. I have had many years of experience with all pets ranging from puppies and kittens to senior animals and have no issue delivering medicines or adapting to their schedules and needs.

“Amy had been Nittanys walker for maybe 2 years she has been AMAZING! She is thoughtful and kind and is very sweet! I feel so much better knowing Nittany is with Amy, when I have to be away.”

About: I started taking care of dogs when I was around 11, beginning with my neighbor. I’ve also owned dogs since I was young and still have two currently. I am currently working a full time 9-5 job, so am available nights and weekends. My schedule is consistent and reliable. I am able to make space in my routine on a regular basis. I like to be detail oriented and as focused to the pet’s individual needs as possible. The more info the owner can give, the better. I want the pet to always be safe and happy.
About: I grew up with dogs and now currently have a 6 month old black lab/shepherd mix of my own. I dog sit quite frequently and have been doing so for a very long time. In Charleston, I have been house/dog sitting for two years and would be happy to give references if needed. I have experience with dogs of all ages with a variety of different health concerns, so if your dog takes any medication or has any special needs that’s not a problem at all! I also work from home and have free time sporadically throughout my day and would love to spend some quality time with your pup! If you’re looking for a sitter or dog walker I can guarantee your pup is going to be in good hands! I have a lot of flexibility within my remote work from home schedule and am able to provide care and walks whenever needed! I would love to help take care of your loved ones. I treat my clients home with respect and as if it were my own. I will clean up any messes from your animals (life happens 😊) and make sure it is tidy for your return!
“Thank you, Kristin! Everything was done as requested. I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing our cat was well taken care of. Would highly recommend and will definitely use again.”

Haley went above and beyond to care for our pets and send us photos to let us know how they were doing. She clearly cares a lot for animals, and she's reliable with a great attention to detail. We look forward to hiring her again in the future next time we can get away!

Hannah did a great job caring for our 2 cats. She followed instructions well and is super friendly. Our boys were well cared for. One of our cats has diabetes and needs insulin given subdermally via syringe, along with oral meds, and Hannah did well with administering those. Very reliable, kind sitter. I would highly recommend Hannah!

Amy is an absolute gem of a cat sitter! We have three boy cats who can be a handful, and she handled everything with ease and care — including administering medications, which we know isn't always the easiest task! We came home to three happy, relaxed cats, which says everything about the kind of attentive, loving care she provides. It's so hard to leave your fur babies, but Amy gave us total peace of mind while we were away. She clearly has a natural way with animals, and our boys took to her right away. We will absolutely be booking her again and couldn't recommend her more highly to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate pet sitter!

I had a fantastic experience boarding my dog Mirana with Daisy. Daisy was incredibly responsible, caring. She kept me updated throughout the stay, and Mirana came home happy and clearly well taken care of. I would absolutely book Daisy again when needed and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable dog sitter.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Brittany Farms-Highlands. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
