Ask me about my $20 discount if you're new to Rover! *New clients, please allow time for a meet-and-greet so we can make sure everything is a great fit.* When I lived in Utah, I was lucky to stumble across Celestial Zoo Pet Rescue just as it was starting up. For the next two years, I served as Applications Director, where (in addition to fostering dozens of needy little kittens and pups) I onboarded new foster families, vetted potential adopters and helped match them with the right animals, and worked closely with the board to enact policies and help get this sorely-needed rescue on its feet. My husband and I had also adopted 3 senior pups of our own by this time (and our sweet kitty, Sophie). And we continued to stay busy with some of the world's best pups coming to stay with us through Rover! Now in PA, our own pets have passed on, so I especially enjoy getting to make new furry friends as a sitter. I know how hard it can be to find a sitter you can trust, so I do my best to provide the same high level of care for your furbabies that I always wanted for my own. Animals have so much to offer us, and my passion is helping them feel happy and safe in return--like Ace, a sweet pitty we fostered after major abdominal surgery to remove a corn cob he'd swallowed. Or kittens Alfie, Archie, and Arnold, whose scared feral mama needed a safe space to nurse her babies until they were ready for their families. Whatever your pet's needs, I believe in using positive reinforcement to reward frequently, build trust, and have fun! I also believe in open, thorough communication with you so we can both make sure your pet is getting the best care for his or her needs. Expect tons of adorable pictures and detailed updates when I care for your critters! They'll get lots of one-on-one attention, and I'll make sure everyone is happy and well cared for by the end of my visit, even if this means giving them extra time I don't charge for. Your pets' wellbeing is my top priority. *A portion of my earnings each month goes to animal charities like World Vets and Soi Dog Foundation. When visiting your pets at home, I will respect your privacy while carefully attending to your pets' every need. My job is to ensure the happiness and comfort of both you and your animals. Closed doors will stay closed, and I will leave your home clean and well cared for. COVID note: I am vaccinated and boosted but will be happy to wear a mask at our meet-and-greet if requested.

Mindy is an absolute angel and is so wonderful with my cats. She takes the time to learn their quirks and understands their personalities so well. Especially my kitty Kit Kat who has a hard time letting anyone in her little world, Mindy celebrates the big wins with her when she lets her get pets and attention. And my cute little boy Twix loves every second of play time with her and would keep her there for hours if he could!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Mindy who took care of my cats while I was away. From the moment we connected, it was evident that Mindy has a genuine passion for animals, especially cats. Mindy was very professional throughout the entire process. She arranged a meet-and-greet beforehand, where I felt comfortable leaving my cats in her care. She took the time to learn about my cat’s personalities, preferences, and routines. I appreciated receiving regular updates and photos during my time away, which alleviated any worries I had. While I was gone, Mindy went above and beyond. Not only did they ensure my cats were well-fed and had clean litter, but they also engaged in playtime and even provided some much-needed cuddle sessions. It was clear that my cats felt comfortable and happy in her presence. I felt completely at ease knowing that my home and my pet were in such caring hands. Mindy respected my space and followed all the instructions I provided. Upon my return, everything was exactly as I had left it, and my cats seemed content and relaxed. This was our first time having Mindy walk are dog Buster and she did an excellent job. She also feed him his dinner and spent some quality time with our cat Homer. I will definitely use her services in the future and I highly recommend her.

Schedule
I quit my job as an editor so I could focus on pet sitting full time, so your pets will be my top priority. My hours for travel are 10 AM to 10 PM. My favorite pups are big and chill! Though I do sometimes work with small dogs who have a quiet, calm demeanor. Cuddlebugs and bully breeds are my favorite! And I especially love helping with kitties. -------- Which service is right for you? 1) DOG DROP-INS: Great for checking in on pups while you're gone for the day! Can include a walk or potty break, fresh water, playtime, food, treats, cuddles, and anything else you and your pup need. Visits are usually 30 minutes, though I'm often there for longer to ensure everyone is happy before I leave. You can also book me for 60 or more to ensure your pup gets plenty of pampering. *Please note: If you're traveling overnight, I DO NOT OFFER doggy drop-ins since I don't provide visits before 10 AM. Dogs left overnight generally do best with boarding or house sitting anyway, as they benefit from greater supervision. If drop-ins work best for you, plan for a minimum of 3 visits/day and an absolute max of 12 hrs alone overnight unless your dog has access to a doggy door or another caregiver to fill in the gaps. 2) DOG WALKING: These are basically just drop-ins with no end date. Either service can include walks and anything else your pet needs. Feel free to book under either option if you just need someone to check on your pup while you're gone for the day. Note that for a 30-minute visit, the walk may be closer to 20 or 25 minutes to allow time for fresh water afterward, wiping paws, rewards like treats and cuddles, a little ball chasing, and sending you a thorough update with lots of cute pics! 3) CAT DROP-INS: Cats should almost always stay in their own home, as they can be highly stressed by changes to their environment, which can quickly lead to illness. Generally kitties do great with 1 visit/day (30+ min) around 10 or 11 AM unless your kitty needs medication, gets extra lonely, or has other extenuating circumstances. We'll have playtime, cuddles, fresh food and water, and anything else your kitty needs. If your kitty is super shy, I can sit and talk softly to them, offer treats, etc. until they feel comfortable coming out on their own. I'll also make sure to set eyes on each kitty each visit just to ensure everyone is safe and accounted for. 4) DOG BOARDING in a sitter's home: A great option if you're traveling. Dogs generally do very well adventuring in a sitter's home, but make sure to ask your sitter about their work schedule and other pups they may board simultaneously. And ALWAYS do a meet-and-greet! Pup not dog-friendly? There are many sitters in the area who don't have their own dogs--just use the search filter. 5) HOUSE SITTING in your home: A premium service offering up to 24/7 supervision, including overnight. Includes anything you or your pet may need--unlimited potty breaks, walks, playtime, meals, water, treats, cuddles, and as many updates as you can handle! Generally I would just need to leave to walk a few of my other clients' pets and would otherwise be home, but let's chat about your individual needs. (If using another sitter, make sure you chat about their exact schedule/time away, as that varies greatly for this service.) Generally I'm most able to help with short stays when I am available for house sitting, but feel free to ask. 6) A FEW HOURS in your home: Sometimes pets need a little extra supervision while you step out of the house. Maybe they are a new adoption (congrats!), are recovering from a medical procedure, or have separation anxiety exacerbated by COVID. Whatever the reason, I'm happy to come stay with your pet at a personalized rate that we discuss beforehand. You can request this under either house sitting or drop-ins, and I'll adjust the cost. --------
