“Elisa is a wonderful sitter. She took the time to get to know my kitties in advance of booking a stay - which helped them be more comfortable on her visits. She is a great communicator, my kitties are always so happy and well loved during her visits.”

About: I have extensive experience caring for cats/kittens, dogs/puppies, hamsters, bunnies, fish, chinchillas, ferrets, and more! I have over 5 years of experience as a professional animal care-taker where I cared for all sorts of animals as well as gave advice to customers on individual issues with their pets. My family also owns a farm so I learned a respect for animals at a very young age! Currently I have 2 rambunctious pet ferrets but growing up I had 2 dogs, 2 cats, a bunny, and fish! I have cared for many dogs and puppies in my neighborhood and for family and friends. I love dogs of all sizes and don't mind caring for multiple pets. I am currently a student, so I'll have plenty of time for walks, to play fetch with your energetic puppy, clean up soiled puppy pads, whatever you need! I'm available for housesitting, drop-in visits, and walks. I can take your pups for as many walks as you'd like; I am a very active person who loves walking/hiking! If you have a high-energy dog I can also take them on my daily runs! If your pet is more relaxed, I also love just spending time playing and giving lots of pets.
“I felt very comfortable leaving my pet for a few days knowing that Heather would be checking in on him. She shared a daily update and prior to our trip she stopped in to meet our pet and make sure she knew exactly how to best take care of him.”

“Ian was great! He provided such great care to our puppy on such short notice. We appreciated his detailed feedback and how attentive he was. He was also easy to get in touch with and very responsive. We highly recommend Ian!”

“Katryna was a pleasure to work with. Especially when my dogs were not on their best behavior, she was able to approach the situation with a can do attitude, and did a great job with them.”

“Katie was excellent! She was professional and most importantly our pets seemed happy and healthy under her care. We loved receiving the photos and updates; really put our minds at ease so we could enjoy a weekend away.”

“Hannah did a great job caring for our 2 cats. She followed instructions well and is super friendly. Our boys were well cared for. One of our cats has diabetes and needs insulin given subdermally via syringe, along with oral meds, and Hannah did well with administering those. Very reliable, kind sitter. I would highly recommend Hannah!”

“This was our first time using Rover for our 9-year-old dog, and we were a bit apprehensive—especially since our pup has allergies that require medication. We got Emily’s name from a friend, and she turned out to be wonderful! From the start, she put us at ease. She was punctual, attentive, and kept us updated with photos, notes, and regular check-ins. We were so happy with the care she provided and will absolutely be using her again in the future!”

“Sarafina did a great job caring for my cat, Lawrence! He just needed daily drop-in visits and she sent lots of photos. She stopped by beforehand to make sure she knew exactly what he needed and was friendly and knowledgeable! She did an excellent job with my instructions and gave him plenty of playtime while she stopped in. I highly recommend Sarafina for any of your pets needs!”

“Brooke did an amazing job with drop in visits for our 3 poodles. She provided check-ins with photos and notes on how they were doing. I was able to enjoy the wedding and know they were well cared for. We definitely will use Brooke again!”

I provide attentive, safe, and calm care in my client’s home, always following the pet’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable. I treat every pet with patience and care, and I always respect the home by keeping it clean and secure when I leave.

Joey did a great job taking care of our kitties and giving them lots of attention while we were in Colorado for a long weekend. He had great communication with us and made sure to take photos and check in with me everytime he stopped by. Would love go have him watch them again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Castle Valley. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
