“I felt very comfortable leaving my pet for a few days knowing that Heather would be checking in on him. She shared a daily update and prior to our trip she stopped in to meet our pet and make sure she knew exactly how to best take care of him.”

“I am so happy to have Brenda to help care for our family’s new puppy. It is very reassuring to me that he has a scheduled playtime with Brenda when we have other commitments. I especially love the pictures that she sends after the visits so that we can see how much fun our little guy had. She is a wonderful sitter!”

“Lauren was a great choice to watch our dog Leo! I booked her for my mom because she needed someone to watch our dog since both her and I were going away for the weekend. Lauren provided me with pictures and updates each time she went to let him out. I highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve been a huge animal lover and taken care of animals since I was about 14 years old. I have fed, walked, and spend time playing with dogs and cats of all ages. I’m very comfortable around dogs with different personalities and energy levels, and I always make sure they feel safe, cared for, and happy while their owners are away. I treat every pet like they’re my own and make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and care. I work from 7am to 5 pm monday-thursday every week, but I’m available most evenings and have open availability from Friday through Sunday. This allows me to spend quality time walking, playing with, and caring for pets. I have a fenced yard with plenty of space indoors and outdoors for animals to roam freely. I treat every pet like my own by providing a safe, calm environment and making sure they feel comfortable, well cared for, and loved while their owner is away.
“Kayla was great with my dog. He is older and can be a little stand-offish but she was very patient and understanding. She was communicative and let me know exactly how they were doing. I would definitely hire her again!”

“Dawn helped me with an emergency stop in-visit for a sick puppy. She is truly an advocate for my puppy and she does so much to give me peace of mind. I am so lucky to have found her”

About: Hi! I wanted to give you a quick update. Per my doctor’s recommendation, I need to limit longer walks as my pregnancy progresses. For safety reasons, I’ll be transitioning to drop-in visits only. I’m still more than happy to provide potty breaks, feeding, enrichment play, and shorter movement during those visits. Please let me know if I can help in anyway! I am currently a stay at home mama who’s schedule is thankfully flexible. I can and will adjust to whatever your dogs routine may desire. I can confidently walk, feed, and play with your four legged sweetie. While giving them the much needed time and attention needed while you’re away.
“This was our first time using Rover for our 9-year-old dog, and we were a bit apprehensive—especially since our pup has allergies that require medication. We got Emily’s name from a friend, and she turned out to be wonderful! From the start, she put us at ease. She was punctual, attentive, and kept us updated with photos, notes, and regular check-ins. We were so happy with the care she provided and will absolutely be using her again in the future!”

“Cathy was all I could have hoped for in a caregiver for my sweet kitty. She was loving and followed my directions carefully. Philly was happy to see me when I got home, but calm and content. She had eaten her normal amount of food and Cathy sent pics of Philly playing! The pics were very reassuring. Thank you Cathy.”

“Christina is very conscientious and neat as a pin. She has a warm personality and it is obvious that she loves animals. I highly recommend her. She is also responsible and mature!”

“I am so happy with Erica, she walks my dog every day. Erica is very trustworthy and conscientious, polite and super friendly. My dog really likes Erica, and enjoys going with her. I can tell by the photos I receive from the walks, that Erica provides a really engaging and energizing experience for my dog. An added bonus, is Erica is also a wonderful pet photographer, I look forward to seeing the pics after each walk.”

About: I've been around dogs my entire life - from high-maintenance Yorkies to big-hearted Rottweilers, so you could say I don't get thrown off too easily. Puppies, seniors, rescues, anxious or reactive pups - I've probably seen it, or something close to it. What makes me different is how seriously I take your pet's comfort and emotional well-being. I pay attention to their behavior, adjust my energy to meet theirs, and treat them the way I'd want someone to treat my own - with consistency, patience, and a little extra love. Whether it's following a strict routine or adapting to a new one, I bring calm, experience, and a real love for animals. Pet care is a natural part of my life. Right now I'm in between roles so have a ton of bandwidth and flexibility. I have two dogs of my own and start every day with a walk and time outside. I'll always make time for your pet the same way I do for mine - no matter what is going on. Whether it's early mornings, midday check-ins, or evening walks, this is something I want to be doing and will always prioritize. I treat your space and your pet with the same respect I'd expect if roles were reversed. I follow care instructions to a T - feeding, meds, routines, energy levels, everything - and I'm always checking in to make sure your dog feels safe and secure. We don't cut corners here. If I'm walking them, there's no phones and I'm present. If I'm staying in your home, I'll leave it as clean (or cleaner) than I found it. And if you need someone to just stop in and show your pup some love while you're away, I'm your person.

“Erin was all around great. Erin came for a meet and greet and asked a lot of questions about our dog and how best to take care of her. Also during our time away Erin was on-time, considerate of our home, and great with our dog. I highly recommend her!”

About: I have been caring for and loving cats and dogs for over 20 years… I have experienced all sizes and breeds of both dogs and cats. I have a very caring and loving personality and it never takes long for even the shyest of animals to warm up to me. I work a full-time job from 7 AM to 4 PM Monday through Friday so my weekends are usually caring for the things I love most… Animals. It has always been and always will be my favorite past time. I have pet set for all different types with very strict rules and I always take notes and follow instructions down to a science. I love to send pictures and videos to the pet parents just so that they know how cared for and loved their animal is while they’re away.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Jamison. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
