I'm a retiring lady with no family and this type of work would suit me well. I am available most days unless I have some freelance design work. I require minimal notice and though I need the income this is truly a labor of love.

Well my queen is just that. I try to keep her happy and there are things I do daily, such as brushing loose fur, playing no less than 20 minutes a day, I never yell or get upset if she vomits, and if she is being difficult when taking medication, I sometimes roll her in a towel like a burrito. She has free reign to sleep where she wants, though she has a 6ft cat tree. I feed her twice a day and I often sit with her while she eats. I also give her up to 3 treats in a day but usually only two. If I was to take care of your cat/s I would like to be able to come into your home 2X a day and stay for about 30 minutes each time unless you desire more time. First, I would try and find your loved one/s. If they want my attention I will give them some love and I talk to them. Sometimes I will sing to them. My cat loves the singing and will come to me that way. Making Pss Pss noises doesn't work for her unless it's associated with the shake of the Temptation Treats container. If your cat is shy, I will just sit for a few minutes after scooping the pan and putting out food, etc. I will turn your TV on and just watch some TV for 15 minutes until they come out to meet me. Then I can play with them, etc. I never just grab or whole hand pet a cat. I always just put one finger out and see if they rub their cheek against it. Then, I slowly introduce more of my hand until they feel safe.

It's important to know all special needs. Does your loved one have any challenges with nervous/brain function, blindness, deafness, allergies, unusual fears, do they have digestive problems, or are they aggressive or seniors, etc.

I can bring toys if you like but will be happy to use yours. I have stick toys with feathers, I can bring a laser toy. Cat's are fascinated with bubbles.

What I love about cats is as they get older you really get to understand their personalities. My girl, as she got older, stopped eating for a bit until I discovered she doesn't like to eat alone. I make sure she has a space next to me. I learned that cats don't like their water near their food. I also learned that you can teach your cat not to use your furniture as a scratching post. You just have to catch them doing it and bend down and look into their eyes with sadness and disappointment and say no, and point to the nearby scratcher. Now when she gets the zoomies, she runs to the scratcher and looks at me to acknowledge that she is being a good girl. She loves that. Cleaning litter boxes are no problem for me. Also I have no problem picking up hairballs and cleaning the spot. I'm also a firm believer in play time. Cat's need time to get their energy out. I love to play with my girl with a stick toy under a blanket, peeking the feather end out to tease her. She loves it. I've had several cats over the years that hated taking medicine. If your cat is very difficult I can wrap them in a towel like a burrito. It tends to calm them down and it makes it easier to administer medicine. Also in emergencies I'm well versed on how to get a cat into a carrier. I take the carrier and place it in a small bathroom. Often the cat will be curious and come into that bathroom to figure out what's going on. I then quickly trap them in that bathroom and do my best to get the cat into the carrier before they have figured out what's up. Temptation Treats in the carrier also helps. My sister's cat was so smart she could point to get him to go in the carrier and he would go right in.

Amy is an absolute gem of a cat sitter! We have three boy cats who can be a handful, and she handled everything with ease and care — including administering medications, which we know isn't always the easiest task! We came home to three happy, relaxed cats, which says everything about the kind of attentive, loving care she provides. It's so hard to leave your fur babies, but Amy gave us total peace of mind while we were away. She clearly has a natural way with animals, and our boys took to her right away. We will absolutely be booking her again and couldn't recommend her more highly to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate pet sitter!

Amy was very attentive and caring with my two cats, and she gave me detailed updates for each visit. She was great at observing their behavior and personalities. I recommend her as a catsitter!

Amy did a FANTASTIC job taking care of our precious kitty for a week. She became fast friends with our feisty diva cuddle bug, and sent pictures and updates throughout the day. This was our first time leaving our rescue kitty, and the first time we've hired a pet sitter. With Amy, there were absolutely no worries! So happy we found her! Thank you Amy!!!

Amy did an amazing job taking care of my cat, Alia, twice a day for a week. Alia requires medication every 12 hours, not only did Amy reliably administer the medication, she also made sure Alia was well fed and spent time playing with her. Amy was awesome!
