“Tonya was such a pleasure to work with! Our 9 month old yorkie adores her, and so do we! She followed instructions and even went above and beyond that. It was our first time leaving PJ for such a long amount of time, and our first time using this app, so we were a bit anxious, but it worked out fine! Thank you again, Tonya!”

About: Hi! I’ve grown up with pets all my life. Now that I’m an adult I have 5 cats and a dog. I’ve fostered (and foster failed) both cats and dogs over the years. I watch my friend’s pets here and at their homes as well. At my house I have a spare room that can be your animal’s home away from home if they need their own secluded space. I also have a fenced in yard with friendly neighbors who are also animal lovers. Come in the summer and I’ll send you home with some fresh veggies from my garden too! I get up early for work and make sure to leave plenty of time to feed, clean litter boxes and make sure all my four legged babies are ready for the day. Once home in the afternoon and after I lay down on the couch they all come to find me for love and to lay on me for all the pets. At night all are welcome to sleep with me, on the couch or wherever they are the most comfortable. I home almost all day over the weekends except for the morning time on Sundays. I have a fenced in yard so any dogs are able to go outside whenever they need to to play, pee or lay in the sun. I watch my neighbor’s dogs as needed and will go over every 4 or so hours to let them out over the weekends. During the week I let them out before I go to work and then as soon as I come home. I then let them out again before bed around 8pm. I also am able to let them out as needed when they are in a pinch and can’t get home in time. My cats and yours if they come for a stay will have water and toys available to them at all times. They will be fed twice a day with a snack of crunchies before bed. If you needed me to come to your house to take care of your cats and/or dogs, I would be able to come early in the morning, after work and before bed during the week and every 4-6 hours during the weekend. While at your house I can take animals for a walk, play, give pets and love, brush or whatever else is needed. Of course I’d feed them and clean kitty litter boxes or whatever else your babies need. I am good with giving medicine to cats and dogs. I give daily medication to my dog and have had to give cats medicine in the past.
“Alicia was fantastic! She came over ahead of time for a meet and greet and we instantly knew Rila was going to be in good hands. Alicia was comfortable with Rila’s injections and all the nuances of caring for blind/deaf/diabetic senior dog. She had great communication, shared multiple pictures and updates throughout the day, and was able to stick to Rila’s strict schedule. We’re always nervous leaving Rila, but felt at ease knowing Alicia was taking care of her like her own. We would use Alicia again for all our pet sitting needs! Highly recommended.”

“I could never say enough about Delaney’s sense of responsibility, care for Bailey and Dabby, and her great pet sitting work ethic. Jen and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!”

“Heather was great! She sent regular updates and detailed visit reports so we knew our kitties were well taken care of. We will definitely be contacting her again the next time we go away!”
About: I am an experienced dog and cat caregiver with two German Shepherds and a cat of my own, so I am very comfortable handling both large and small animals. I am confident and strong enough to walk big, energetic dogs while also being patient and gentle with more sensitive pets. I focus on keeping pets safe, happy, and well cared for during walks and drop-in visits. I am reliable, attentive, and always treat every pet like my own. I am generally available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and weekends, and I can be flexible depending on the specific time and request. I am open to both regular and occasional bookings, including morning, afternoon, and evening visits when needed. I do my best to respond quickly and accommodate last-minute requests when my schedule allows. My goal is to provide consistent and reliable care that fits smoothly into both your schedule and your pet’s routine. I provide attentive, safe, and calm care in my client’s home, always following the pet’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable. I make sure they have fresh water, food if needed, clean space, and plenty of attention and companionship. During visits and walks, I prioritize safety by keeping pets leashed, avoiding unsafe interactions, and staying aware of their behavior and surroundings. I treat every pet with patience and care, and I always respect the home by keeping it clean and secure when I leave.
“Brooke was fantastic! :) Always showed up on time and sent pictures and updates while catsitting for us. She was also always super easy to reach and made sure to leave things how she found them. 10/10 we'd definitely book her again!”

“Katrina is always thoughtful and cares deeply for your furry kids. She’s always making sure everything is right, and if not, she’ll figure out a way to make it right.”

About: I had a dog as a child. I have had dogs for over 35 years. They are great company and a great addition to any family. I am retired. My time would be totally devoted to spending time with your pet(s). I look forward to giving you the comfort that your pets are well-cared for while you are not home. My pets at home are pretty spoiled. They are not crated and we play inside and outside. Whatever the owners require is what I will do. Unfortunately, my most recent dog died of cancer. I miss her; but look forward to taking good care of other people’s pets.
“Meghan provided excellent care to my two kitties. She was very conscious about keeping the food dishes clean and keeping the litter box clean. She spent time with them , giiving some love and comfort. I have reserved Meghan for multiple trips during the next year.”

“Hailey was awesome with our shy dog and very-not-shy cat. Our pup has separation anxiety so it was really nice to be able to leave the house without worrying. Hailey was very communicative and we'd absolutely book with her again.”

“Roxxie was great with my pups, she was very prompt and sent lots of pictures on their walks and playtime. My oldest and hardest dog was great and was excited to see her every visit. Last minute we had to add some drop in visits and Roxxie was willing and able to work this out for us. We will be using Roxxie for all our other trips.”

Delaney was absolutely wonderful! She took amazing care of my two very shy cats while I was away for a week. I was so impressed with her patience and kindness, and it was clear she genuinely cared about making them feel comfortable. She also went above and beyond by bringing in my mail and packages, which I really appreciated. Coming home to happy, well-cared-for cats and knowing my home had been looked after gave me complete peace of mind. Delaney is dependable, thoughtful, and you can tell that she truly loves animals. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional pet sitter, and I will definitely be booking with her again!

I couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter. From the moment I left, I felt completely at ease knowing my cat was in such caring hands. Roxxie genuinely connected with her and treated her with the same love and attention I would. She kept me updated and went above and beyond. I highly recommend Roxxie to anyone looking for truly compassionate and reliable pet care.

Great pet sitting service as always when Elana comes to babysit my Kelce Kitty. Great communication and promptly always on time. Very reliable. Love all the pictures that get sent. Kelce is always happy to see her. Would definitely recommend! Thank you again for taking care of Kelce over the christmas holiday. We both appreciate you very much. Amber & Kelce

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Yorkshire Commons. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
