“Bev was super attentive to our pups!! She was also very communicative, sending us updates and photos daily of what the dogs were up to and responding quickly when we had questions. She really took great care of our dogs and we will be using her anytime we need a dog sitter. She's part of the family now! She's the best!!”

“Kaitlyn pet/house sat for us recently, and we are so grateful for her help. She kept us regularly informed of our babies and was comfortable asking questions. It was wonderful knowing we had someone we could trust taking care of our critters!”

“Stefanie is the first house sitter I've ever had in my long history of being a dog Mom. I am wondering what took me so long to choose home comforts over a kennel for my dog Rosie because Stefanie is all that I wanted in a house sitter. When I had to change the reservation last minute, Stefanie was completely understanding and accepting of the change. I know that Rosie was in the best of care and I loved Stefanie's daily pictures and updates. I didn't worry about my pet at all. Stefanie is very neat, respectful, and responsive. I will definitely ask her back.”

I can do same day care if needed. Let me know how best I can serve you today. I will show the utmost respect for your home and your pet while at your home. I know it can be difficult to trust someone with these things.

“This was Morgan’s third stay with our Jenny. We had a flight delay getting home from Europe and Morgan was able to help us out so we did not have to worry about Miss Jenny with all the flight chaos that was going on. Highly recommend her.”
“Sadie was awesome with my dog. She house sat for 5 days. She sent pictures every day, treated my dog like her own and kept the house tidy. I hope she keeps coming back when I travel.”

“Gabrielle was absolutely fantastic! She was incredibly kind, respectful and attentive to every detail. She asked thoughtful and important questions, which immediately made me feel comfortable and confident leaving my dogs in her care. My dogs absolutely loved her! She was early for both our meet and greet and her visit, and her communication and reliability were amazing. I truly couldn’t rate her highly enough and look forward to having her watch my fur babies again!”

About: I've been with and around pets since I was 14. I am a reliable resource to pet, play, feed, and walk neighbors' and friends animals for lots of time. I don't personally have any pets myself, but I often have dogs come stay with us and go visit other people's pets. I'm used to a dog running around and everyday responsibilities of having a pet/ I care for pets in my home or clients' home with the knowledge of what the dog is allowed and not allowed to do, what boundaries the home has, and the animal's safety at the front of my mind at all times.
“Juliette was so responsive with the lead-up to her watching my cat, Artemis. She contacted me about how Artemis was doing during each visit and she was so kind. I would recommend booking her because she really made sure Artemis was well looked after.”

“Kristy did an excellent job caring for my Sadie and Jumper while I was away. She kept me updated with photos and texts to let me know how they were doing, and I could tell they were enjoying themselves and well taken care of. This was the first time I’ve left both dogs and was happy to be able to enjoy my time away knowing they were in good hands. My home was nice and tidy when I returned. I will definitely call her again and highly recommend her. Thank you!”

“It was such a lovely experience—everything went so smoothly. This was my first time having a dog sitter come to the house, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Levi was so excited to see Dustin, which said everything. You can tell he genuinely loves dogs. Overall, a fantastic experience!”

“Kat sent us photos daily while we were out of the country on our anniversary trip for a week. She was communicative per our requests and left our house nice and clean! We knew the pups had the best time snuggling with her.”

“We needed an emergency sitter for our puppy Pete who is recovering from surgery and Katryna came to the rescue. She was conscientious and very kind with our little guy and we would definitely have her watch him again.”

About: I have cared for both small dogs and medium sized dogs. Have implemented special diets (Farmer's Dog) given medications through food or a treat. Assisted in foster care. Can follow leash and harness preferences and always have poop bags on the ready. I have slept beside puppies who are needy throughout the night. I am a full time K-12 art teacher so I would be available for any pet care services mostly on the weekends and few selected nights throughout the week. I would stay in the areas of the home that the pet is residing and or whichever areas that the client feels comfortable with. Example being the living room or dining room.
About: I have extensive experience pet sitting cats, dogs, fish, and birds. I always think that animals are a part of ones families and should be treated so. I am a reliable pet sitter, and love animals. I have watched a range of animal ages and have experience with puppies and kittens all the way to senior animals. I also have watched diabetic pets so have experience with providing insulin and also can provide medications. I have worked with families who have multiple animals up to 7 for dogs, and 9 for cats. I love taking dogs on walks and having play time with them. I bring a loving and caring attitude to work, and you can rest assured that while you are away, your pets are in good hands.
“I can't say enough how happy my husband and I are to have met Sabrina. We can finally travel again without worrying (too much) about our babies. I'd highly recommend booking with Sabrina.”

About: I’ve taken care of neighbors dogs and coworkers as well. Experience with walking them, administering medications, speciality feedings, house sitting and more. I’ve worked will all age ranges from puppies to seniors (including cats). I also love reptiles! Snakes, geckos, frogs, you name it. I’d love to be able to take care of your fur babies while you have a stress free vacation or trip. I currently work full time as a hairstylist, Wednesday through Saturday from 9-6, however with enough notice my boss is super flexible and I’d be willing to take some reasonable time off. I’m off Sunday-Tuesday so perfect for drop in visits, walkings, and house sitting. I always write down rules that you may provide or have. I love doing a “meet and greet prior to the booking so your pet is familiar with me before we spend time together.

Kristy did great! All the animals were very happy when I got home from my trip. She sent pictures and updates every day so that I knew everyone was doing well. She was available very last minute to care for all my animals after 3 other sitters fell through and allowed me to still go on my trip. Would highly recommend!

I cannot imagine anyone being better than Reanna was for our home and fur babies. Her communication and faithfulness were exceptional! Our animals were well taken care of and were comfortable with her. Right from the first day i felt relieved and confident that we left them in such good hands. She sent great pictures and updates. She played with them. And she handled challenges like a pro! She is my first call if I need someone again!!

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 5,729 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Yorkshire Commons. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Yorkshire Commons walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Yorkshire Commons maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Yorkshire Commons choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Yorkshire Commons. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
