“Morgan was amazing and took such great care of our dogs AND house. She was very communicative with us while we were away which is so important to me and just overall a great and trustworthy person. 10/10 would highly recommend.”

“Kaitlyn was amazing with Melvin! She came in very last minute to help care for him when I had multiple competing priorities. She kept him calm and happy and took him on a great walk. Very happy!”

“Bev was super attentive to our pups!! She was also very communicative, sending us updates and photos daily of what the dogs were up to and responding quickly when we had questions. She really took great care of our dogs and we will be using her anytime we need a dog sitter. She's part of the family now! She's the best!!”
“We are new to the Northeast and planned a trip out of the country for our anniversary. Dustin was very responsive from the beginning. He came to the house prior to meet our pups and get a scope of the house. He kept us informed of their well being with pictures and even made Henry's birthday special while we were gone. He also took great care of the house. Dustin will definitely be our first reserve on future travels. We know both the pups and the house are in great hands.”

“Kristy did an excellent job caring for my Sadie and Jumper while I was away. She kept me updated with photos and texts to let me know how they were doing, and I could tell they were enjoying themselves and well taken care of. This was the first time I’ve left both dogs and was happy to be able to enjoy my time away knowing they were in good hands. My home was nice and tidy when I returned. I will definitely call her again and highly recommend her. Thank you!”

“Juliette was so responsive with the lead-up to her watching my cat, Artemis. She contacted me about how Artemis was doing during each visit and she was so kind. I would recommend booking her because she really made sure Artemis was well looked after.”

About: Hello! My name is Gabrielle, and I am an incoming freshman in college. I have been raised around cats and dogs, so caring for them is second nature to me. For the past year, I have been professionally working as a shift leader in a dog and cat boarding establishment. I have care experience with seniors, puppies, medical issues, administering medication (including insulin), special needs, reactivity, and aggression. On the days I have work, I'm there from opening or until closing, always for 7-8 hours. Which means I can be with your pet all morning or all night! I will make you aware of any additional appointments I have prior to booking. No matter what, I will always do a morning and nightly check-in when house sitting. On the days I don’t have work, my day will be committed to your pets! I can always do overnights. I will always offer multiple complimentary meet and greets. I want you and your pets to feel comfortable in trusting my care! When pet sitting overnight, I can take care of any other household chores that may need to be done on a day-to-day basis.

“Erin was so communicative, tentative, and patient with my dog! She has separation anxiety and this was our first time using Rover. Erin did her best to keep my dog comfortable, happy, and followed her schedule to a tee. So grateful for her!”

“Kat was awesome! my pup had an injury right before Kat stayed with him for a weekend & he needed a bunch of medications frequently. I was super nervous about leaving him when he needed extra care but she made me feel comfortable and followed instructions perfectly. Will definitely trust her to stay with my pup again!”

Whether it's walks, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to your pet's routine, we’ll treat them as if they were our own. We look forward to meeting you and your pets! 🐾 Eric is currently only taking grad classes over the summer so his schedule is very flexible. We are both very active individuals so we love going for multiple walks daily and would love to fit your pet into our cadence. Eric am 6'4 and able to handle dogs big and small on a leash. As a Special Educator (and dog owner), I am familiar with positive reinforcement and use it when walking dogs. Cassie has grown up taking care of her neighbors animals while they were on vacation and loves to spend time playing with them, sitting with them and getting their energy out.
About: I’ve co-parented many types of animals all throughout my life. Dogs, cats, bunnies, chickens, you name it I’ve done it! I trained all my dogs from when they were young and have lots of experience taking care of family and friends pets for them while they were away! I’m currently working part time as a server on the weekends! I’m super available during the weekdays. On weekends I have some late nights but that doesn’t stop me from being able to take care my furry family and yours before and after my shifts. Although I’d love to open my own home to your furry friends. My own pets are super hyper active and do cause some stress occasionally for the friends they meet. But, I will bring the same level of love and care that I provide right on over to your home!
About: I have had a dog for over 12 years and I love caring for others furry friends when there loved ones have to leave them. I have a daily routine with my current pup! Hope I can help care for your pets in anyway I can! Looking forward to meeting you and your fur babies! I’ve put them on a good everyday routine that they love and are used to! Morning/daily routines, walks, potty breaks, nap time and lots of belly rubs (:
About: Growing up in a big dog- and cat-loving home, my affinity for animals was realized at an early age. I’ve been the go-to person amongst family and friends for pet care since I was a kid. I’ve dabbled in this passion on the side my whole life, but am now pursuing it full tilt and hope to build a career in conservational zoology. In 2020, pet care grew outside of my inner circle of friends and family, and I gained clientele I still work for to this day. While in Hawaii from August 2024 to February 2026, I dog-sat for five families on top of my day job, regularly tending to their pets every week (and some every day). This included walks and meals, house calls, trips to the beach, hikes, daily visits to the local dog parks, bathing and brushing, extended stays at my home while owners traveled, and coordinating play dates with other pet-sitters. I’ve handled animals of all sizes and temperaments, administered medication, and adhered to the specific needs of the families in my care. My focus is on the comfort, stimulation, and enrichment of your pet! I am reliable and flexible, and find genuine joy in this line of work. This is how I would prefer to spend my time! My Pets: My 120lb Saint Bernard/Bernese, Hobie, was my dutiful companion in pet care, living up to his “nanny dog” personality. In July 2025, he sadly passed at the young age of 2 due to congenital kidney failure, but his short life was full to the brim of adventures with furry friends! He was equally as loving as he was loved. My world completely revolved around him while I had him. Thistle and Pants are my two cats. Thistle is a 7 year old domestic long hair, and I’ve had her since she was 6 months old. She has very much been a partner in my pet care as well, having grown up with big dogs and preferring their company over other cats. She gives off that annoyed older sister vibe, but always wants to be near the other animals and people. Pants is a 5 month old Maine Coon kitten, and he makes himself right at home in any space he occupies. He’s adventurous and outspoken, and keeps Thistle moving (and slightly irritated) throughout the day. He’s proving to be too clever for his own good! I will be adding a new dog to the family in several months, and will undergo training with a focus on companionship and socialization. I can’t wait to have another partner in pet care! Letters of Recommendation are available upon request. Thank you so much for reading, I hope to work with you soon! Rachel I’m currently available all day Tuesday through Saturday! I’m an early riser, accustomed to starting my days around 5am. I’m quick to respond and very flexible. I will adhere to YOUR preferred form of care. I love going on drives, walks, and hikes and have a roomy CR-V perfect for transporting furry friends! I like arranging play dates with social pets, or spending one-on-one time for those that prefer to be solo. My apartment in Dublin has a spacious yard with a tall fence and tree shade, and I’m happy to take your pet to their known stomping grounds or on new adventures. I live about ten minutes away from Peace Valley Park, and twenty minutes from Nockamixon State Park. I will tend to a routine that is best for your pet, whether it involve a lot of free roaming and outdoor time, or adhering to crate-training preferences. I’m an advocate for leisurely “sniff walks”, and will ensure your pet gets the stimulation they need. This isn’t a turn-and-burn rush job for me, I’m here to provide what is most enriching for your pet.
About: A former doggie dad, I am a responsible, attentive adult who will provide top care for your family. A fenced-in yard and open space in my home are perfect for your dog to relax and have fun. Also active I will enjoy taking your dog for guided walks, runs and plenty of outdoor time. Your home or mine, I will think of your dog like they are family and will respect your privacy and provide the love and affection I would have wanted for my own dog. A teacher during the non-summer months, I am home all day and can work around your schedule to make things a good fit for you and your family. I look forward to hearing from you about making this a match.
About: I got my first dog when I was 2 and my first cat when I was 11. I have been surrounded by animals all my life and I just love the idea of having an animal that you consider your best friend! I truly do not know a life without a pet and I think the world is a better place with them! I am currently home for the summer and working a part-time job! When i’m not at work, I’d love to hang out with your pet! While I am not offering boarding, I could absolutely take your pet for a car ride if they like them! We'll have a jam session together.
About: I have cared for both small dogs and medium sized dogs. Have implemented special diets (Farmer's Dog) given medications through food or a treat. Assisted in foster care. Can follow leash and harness preferences and always have poop bags on the ready. I have slept beside puppies who are needy throughout the night. I am a full time K-12 art teacher so I would be available for any pet care services mostly on the weekends and few selected nights throughout the week. I would stay in the areas of the home that the pet is residing and or whichever areas that the client feels comfortable with. Example being the living room or dining room.
About: I’ve worked at 2 doggy daycares and actively watch 4 families dogs/houses I watch multiple times a year, varying from 1 day to 10 days depending how long they decide I am a direct care worker of a man with Parkinson’s 6-2 during the day, so I usually take care of the dogs first thing, then when I’m back from work, I have the rest of the day to hang out and play with them or take care of whatever is needed to be taken care of I have a fenced in yard, I won’t be able to bring your dog to my house, but as I’m taking care of your dog and house I will make sure to abide and follow any rules you’ve set for me
About: I have extensive experience pet sitting cats, dogs, fish, and birds. I always think that animals are a part of ones families and should be treated so. I am a reliable pet sitter, and love animals. I have watched a range of animal ages and have experience with puppies and kittens all the way to senior animals. I also have watched diabetic pets so have experience with providing insulin and also can provide medications. I have worked with families who have multiple animals up to 7 for dogs, and 9 for cats. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Telford
Kaitlyn took exceptional care of both my dog and cat. I was absolutely amazed that my cat snuggled with her something she’s never done with anyone except me. My dog too fell in love with her. Kaitlyn was communicative throughout my time away which alleviated my anxiety especially seeing pictures of them interacting with her. I will definitely rehire Kaitlyn in the future and highly recommend her to anyone who is searching for a safe, dependable and loving sitter.

I cannot imagine anyone being better than Reanna was for our home and fur babies. Her communication and faithfulness were exceptional! Our animals were well taken care of and were comfortable with her. Right from the first day i felt relieved and confident that we left them in such good hands. She sent great pictures and updates. She played with them. And she handled challenges like a pro! She is my first call if I need someone again!!

Kristy is amazing! She took care of our high energy shepherd husky mix for a week while we were away and you could tell she was very well cared for and that she got the exercise and mental stimulation she needs. The house was exactly how we left it and Kristy had our mail waiting for us and had even put fresh water in our flowers! We look forward to using her again in the future.

FAQs for House Sitting - Telford
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Telford on Rover is $71.67 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 5,458 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Telford. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Telford walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Telford maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Telford choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Telford. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
