About: I’ve been an animal rescuer since childhood, and have raised my children (12-20) to do the same. My most recent official role in animal care and rescue has been via fostering dogs and cats through the Morris Animal Refuge in Philadelphia. Unofficially, I have been a proud dog mama for 11 years, and cat mama off and on since childhood. My resident doggo Patches is a proud foster father, and is comfortable with dogs and cats of all ages. If you have a pup or cat that could use a cuddle buddy while you are away, Patches is your guy. I am comfortable with and have experience in caring for cats, dogs, small mammals, birds, and small reptiles. I do have a particular aversion to cricket feeding, but we can make it work with super worms lol I do not know much about fish or amphibian care, but I am open to learning. I am a stay at home parent with my youngest children entering middle and high school, so my schedule is fairly open. I’m looking for furry friends to hang out with while I’m home during the day. It’s gets a little lonely in here 😊 I unfortunately do have a disability that impacts the right side of my body. Because of this, I am nervous about larger dogs that jump often (not just excited hellos), or who have strong prey drives and could potentially drag me on a walk. My dog Patches (50lbs) is walked with a gentle lead harness to keep things safe for both of us. I can handle dogs his size - or a bit larger - who do not jump, or who are low energy and would prefer to hang in the backyard rather than taking longer walks. I care for all animals as I would a human family member. I am comfortable with normal day to day care, as well as those who require special needs. I try to be very respectful of the personality of each pet. Some animals are nervous at first, and I’d like to respect their need for space and/or time to warm up to me. Other animals are excited to have a brand new friend, and I am too! Basically, I try to match the energy of who I am hanging out with.

“Had a great experience leaving my puppy with Eunmi. She sent several pictures a day of my puppy being very well taken care of and interacting with other very small dogs. It was a relief for me receiving daily updates and seeing her interacting with Eunmi’s family and other dogs. I will certainly leave my fur baby with Eunmi again.”

We consider our dog to be a member of the family and we were initially nervous about leaving Bernie with a stranger. But Shona met with us ahead of time, and we could tell she was warm and caring. After the first day we could tell that Bernie was well taken care of and happy while there. We received multiple pictures daily of Bernie doing things he only does when he is relaxed (cuddling, belly rubs, passing out on the couch). Bernie cuddled witwh her teenage kids. Shona was very communicative and immediately responsive. We immediately booked her for our next vacation. We highly recommend Shona and will use her in the future for all of our boarding needs.”

About: I have completed a degree in Animal Behavior at Bucknell University and provided husbandry for pets of all kinds. I currently work as a professional dog trainer and take great care with each and very animal that I work with! I am currently working part time and will have lots of free time to check in on, provide care for, and update you on your pets! I am available any day of the week and have a flexible daily schedule. I am trained in safe and effective handling of dogs and am confident in working with dogs that have behavioral challenges.
