“We loved having Cindy watch our pup over the weekend! This was our first time working with Cindy and she was an absolute dream. After our meet-n-greet, I felt so comfortable leaving Maverick in her care. Cindy answered all the questions I had and was so personable and enjoyable to chat with. During Maverick’s stay, Cindy was highly communicative and sent so many adorable photos/videos. I could tell during Maverick’s stay that Cindy just absolutely loved having him and gave him all the love/attention he needs. Would highly recommend Cindy and we will be reaching out again whenever we need to leave Mav!”

“Our dog Bailey stayed with Kristin and her family for 6 days. We got constant updates and pictures of our baby while we were away making me feel very comfortable! Kristin and her family took Bailey in as one of their own and I don’t think that Bailey wanted to leave!! When we got home she was exhausted which means she had a ton of fun with them! We will definitely be bringing Bailey back!”

“Debra is terrific! She is very knowledgeable, attentive, caring and had the perfect environment for Izzy. She reenforced Izzy's existing training and provided additional direction to her. She is a true professional. Debra keep us informed with regular updates and pictures. She ensured that our time away from Izzy was without worry. Izzy and Debra's dog Gleason got along great and based on the pictures they certainly had fun together. We would absolutely recommend Debra and certainly intend to use her again.”

“Coleen was amazing! This is our first time using Rover and we were alittle worried with leaving our high energy pup cooper in another persons home but Coleen was so welcoming and definitely knows her stuff when it comes to dogs. From the meet and greet to drop off and picking him up it couldn’t have gone better. She sent updates and lots of photos throughout coopers 2 night stay. I highly recommend her and will definitely reach out to her if needed again! She will be our first go to if she’s available ❤️”

“Olivia was such a life saver; we were looking for a sitter last minute and she was willing to take care of our fur baby with open arms. She had great communication with us the entire time and was very patient. I will definitely book with Olivia again.”
“Carol, has become my go to sitter. I have used her twice and couldn’t be happier. Carol keeps me updated with reports and pictures and treats my puppy as her own. Her care, concern and love for my puppy helps me relax when I’m away knowing that she will be loved and well cared for.”

“i can’t say enough about how wonderful bonnie & joseph are. as soon as you meet them, you know your pet will be taken care of & then some! our dog is a very finicky eater; when she wasn’t interested in the food we brought, bonnie & joseph stepped into action, sharing their own dogs food & even feeding ours by hand first, until she eased into eating out of a bowl. that’s what i call 5 star service! this was our first time using them & we will definitely be repeat customers🥰🐶”

“Amy was extremely flexible on the day that I dropped off my pups. I was greatly delayed because of an accidental slip-and-fall event as I prepared to leave home, but she was extremely accommodating. My pups were clearly well cared for and the picture she sent of them snuggling together was very reassuring. I will definitely be calling on Amy for help once again for my two dogs.”

“Ruth and her family took great care of Ginger. She was happy and well cared for when we picked her up. Ruth was also very understanding when our flight home got cancelled and we had to pick Ginger up late.”

About: I am a teacher, so I have lots of availability in the summer for dog sitting and walking. I also have unlimited patience and lots of energy for pets. I am the proud fur-baby mother of a rescue dog! He is about 70 pounds and tricky to walk, which has given me great experience. I know how to handle anxious pets. I am an active person who enjoys spending time outdoors, especially with my dog. In the summer, we spend most of or time in the backyard playing and spending time together: When my dog gets hot he relaxes on his outdoor cooling bed next to cold bowl of water or takes a dip in his doggie pool. The only thing that keeps us inside is thunder or lightning. Overall, I am a very devoted dog owner and animal lover and looking forward to meeting many new dogs!

“Andrew was wonderful from start to finish. He was easy to communicate with, very responsive, and flexible- we had to adjust our days after booking due to an unexpected funeral and he made the changes quickly. Our dog got really great care with frequent updates and pics and it was very clear Andrew really enjoys taking care of animals! Would highly recommend. Thank you!!”

“Theresa and her family watched our two senior dogs for 4 days while my family took a much needed trip to visit family over a holiday weekend. They provided a loving home and treated our dogs like part of their family and even got them in on their evening treat routine with their own dogs :) We received updates and pictures each day and we could tell they felt right at home and were more at ease than being in a kennel. Theresa will be the first one we check with next time we need someone to look after our pups!”

“Our two pups had a wonderful time! Sarah took great care of them. They were comfortable and had lots of playtime. Multiple daily photo updates were great. A conscientious caregiver combined with a huge fenced in yard gave us total peace of mind while we were away. Will definitely be back!”

“Janice was wonderful. She is just a sweet lady and took such good care of my miniature schnauzer. My dog and hers played really well together. I'm really glad to have found her and will use her again the next time I need a dogsitter for the weekend. Thank you Janice!”

“This was my first time leaving my dog, Jenga, with anyone other than family. I was very nervous, but Katie did everything to make me feel comfortable leaving my baby girl with her! We did a meet and greet before I left to make sure our dogs got along and sent me multiple pictures throughout me trip and updates on what they did that day! They played, did brain puzzles, ran around in the fenced in yard, and snuggled a lot!! Katie also is familiar with dogs who need medication and was able to give Jenga her medicine each morning! I have nothing but great things to say about her and my experience!!”

“Lee L. was awesome, courteous and professional she took great care of our puppy. She communicated with us prior and during the visit while povideing daily updates along with videos. Lee L., also was flexible with our request for an extended stay. This was our first time being apart from our puppy and she had a wonderful time!”

“My Kiwi had a relaxing stay with Kaitlyn. She was in good and caring hands and enjoyed her company. Highly recommended sitter! Definitely will book again if we’re in the area. Thank you for taking good care of Kiwi.”

Heather is great! As soon as we had a meet and greet with our dog we knew this would be just fine. Heather is attentive and caring. Rudy got along well with the other dogs. Daily pics helped confirm he was doing fine! Highly recommend. Will definitely book with Heather in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
