“Amy was extremely flexible on the day that I dropped off my pups. I was greatly delayed because of an accidental slip-and-fall event as I prepared to leave home, but she was extremely accommodating. My pups were clearly well cared for and the picture she sent of them snuggling together was very reassuring. I will definitely be calling on Amy for help once again for my two dogs.”

“This was our first time leaving our dog with a pet sitter and it was a wonderful experience. Marla was very nice and sent lots of pictures and updates on our pup. We will definitely use Marla again in the future!”

“Theresa and Kevin were the perfect dog sitters! Our dog got to experience the comfort and loving attention like when she's home, with the added benefit of getting to play with their dogs! Theresa sent photos and videos regularly, so I could see what a great time our dog was having!”

“Jason sent lots of pictures and videos during Gemma's stay. She seemed to be having the time of her life at "camp;" swimming in the in-ground pool, and making new friends. Jason seemed to be very attentive to Gemma. She's exhausted from her week of fun!”

“Kathleen took care of Brody this week for the first time. He appears to have really enjoyed his stay and was definitely well cared for. Kathleen communicated with us at least once a day telling us how and what Brody was doing. She also sent wonderful photos of his stay, on walks, and relaxing in her home. We’ll use Kathleen again when we need a sitter. Thanks, Kathleen!”

“I don't know why it took me so long to post this review. Tyler was absolutely amazing with my dog, Austin! I had originally booked Austin with Tyler for one week but due to housing issues I had to extend his stay. I actually had to extend Austin's stay a few times and Tyler was always happy and willing to house Austin for as long as we needed. Tyler let me come visit Austin periodically since I missed him so much, and every time I visited Austin looked great and seemed truly happy there. I will 10/10 rebook with Tyler! I am forever grateful for Tyler's help throughout that difficult time and highly recommend using him for whatever length of stay your pup or kitty needs.”

“Allan and Anne Marie watched my pup over the Easter holiday and everything was great. They have a perfect setup in their home to have dogs separated if needed and a big back yard for them to run around. Allan sent lots of pics too!”

“It was our first time booking with Ryan for a two-night stay for our dog, Penny. He provided daily updates with pictures and a video and it was so wonderful to see how she was doing. Upon returning home, Penny was well-adjusted and immediately settled into her routine. We can't thank Ryan enough for making us feel secure knowing that Penny was being well taken care of. He is a fantastic pet sitter and we can't wait to book with him again in the future!”

“Audrey was an amazing host for our pup, Popa, that we rescued only a couple of weeks ago. Given the recent adoption, we were nervous to leave her somewhere so soon. Audrey's extensive experience with dogs (and particularly rescues) put us at ease and made it such a seamless experience! As new dog parents she also provided us with some helpful tips. Popa obviously felt at home there and frankly I don't think she wanted to leave :)”

“I am thrilled to have met Kaitlyn!! Kaitlyn took excellent care of my 2 fur babies. She understood the personality of each one, which is very different, and gave them the best care and love. She kept in touch with me and sent me pictures and updates about how they were doing. Needless to say they were happy and loved by her! I am hoping to see her again this summer!”

“My dogs loved Tiffany, and she was a wonderful dog mom to them. She did great with feedings and keeping them company in my home to maximize their comfort. Everything was neat and clean, and my dogs look forward to her next visit. Highly recommend.”
“Kristin S. and her family did a wonderful job taking care of our Monty (1 year old Lab) and Dexter (12 year old lab mix) over a log 4 day weekend! They were very organized, punctual, and clearly provided a loving environment for the dogs. She has a huge fenced in back yard with plenty of room for the dogs to play. That plus daily walks gave them plenty of exercise! We will definitely use Kristen again for our dog sitting needs!”

“Janice was wonderful. She is just a sweet lady and took such good care of my miniature schnauzer. My dog and hers played really well together. I'm really glad to have found her and will use her again the next time I need a dogsitter for the weekend. Thank you Janice!”

“Great experience. Wilbur seemed very happy and got along with Rocky. I especially appreciate that Andrew & Jacklynn had to care for Wilbur during the coldest spell this winter! I appreciate the extra effort in sending pictures & posts, especially for a 1st booking. So glad we found them and have confidence for subsequent bookings.”

“Our dog Tucker is initially shy around new people and other dogs but Tiffany was able to really make him feel at home during his stay with her. Her enclosed backyard gave Tucker plenty of privacy to settle in and explore his new surroundings. She updated us with pictures and it was very clear early on that Tucker was settling in just fine with her other dog and family. We will definitely be using Tiffany again for our dog.”
“My dogs are always so happy when they can spend time with Amanda! They have stayed with her so often, they get excited as soon as we pull in the driveway! She knows them both so well and tends to all of their likes and quirks! I cannot say enough good things about Amanda, she is the only sitter we use!”

“When I traveled in the past, my family took care of my pup, Carly. However, recently I had to consider another alternative. I was very apprehensive about booking with Rover.com. But after reading Heather’s reviews and meeting her and her pups in her home, I felt certain Carly, would be well cared for. Heather sent daily pictures and I could see she was having fun with her new pup friends. On the night of my pick up, I was later than the agreed time, but Heather was very flexible. She had Carly all ready to go when I pulled in the driveway. My pup made new friends and I found someone I could trust. Thanks, Heather”

“Highly recommend Olivia! Was on time to pick up our dog and kept us up to date with pictures etc. she was very accommodating and easy to work with! I am happy we chose her and will continue to use her services”

Amanda was great with our boy Simba. Amanda & family made Simba feel like home. Always kept us in loop of everyday activities, sharing pictures & videos made our days and our hearts at ease knowing he’s in great hands. Will definitely be using Amanda again & will highly recommend her to others as well.

Amanda was very accommodating and helpful with our last minute request to take care of our dog for two weeks. She sent us pictures and gave us updates while we were away. Amanda treated our fury best friend like her own. We are very thankful for the care she gave our sweet Charlie. Thanks Amanda!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
